Convenient location right outside the bus stop Baerenplatz, or a short walk from Kreuzlingen Hafen station, a bit longer walk (different direction) to Kreuzlingen station - both with direct trains to Konstanz for onward travel in Germany, as well as to destinations in Switzerland. The single room was very small and practically no storage space as the turning circle of the bathroom door takes up the entire room. Table is just a shelf in the corner. Bathroom is a bit more spacious, good shower water pressure. Wifi was functional and fast. Plug sockets were in awkward positions but at least flush with the wall rather than the recessed style, so will fit the European type C plug without a Swiss adaptor. Breakfast is an additional CHF 10, as mentioned by others all dishes are vegan, but a good selection and tasty. Restaurant only open for dinner once a week or something like that, but there is a small shopping centre opposite with supermarkets.

Hotel was very clean and well-maintained. Rooms were good - unfortunately our room did not have A/C and it was incredibly hot as our room was in a dead-zone for air movement. There was also no fridge in the room to keep cold drinks to combat the heat. Would recommend the hotel, but know what you’re getting into.

Charming hotel with a friendly hotel

We book a one night stay at the Hotel Swiss. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Check-in was quick and the room was very large, clean, and comfortable. There are a couple restaurants nearby but I would suggest taking a 15min walk to old town Konstanz for more options. The breakfast was vegetarian, as the hotel has many awards from PETA and other sustainable energy organizations. The breakfast buffet was quite large and tasty. I didn't feel short. Hanged without bacon or meat products. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning a vacation to the Bodensee.

Convenient, comfortable and friendly.

Friendly, helpful staff, spotless and comfortable hotel in an excellent location. We used the hotel as a base for visiting the old town (a 15 min walk downhill into Germany) and for daytrips around the area. Parking was convenient for our small vehicle. Wifi excellent. We would stay again. No English language station on multi channel TV was only and very minor negative. Air con in our room a huge plus.

great hotel. looks amazing. limited parking. staff was very helpful. breakfast was interesting considering everything was vegan. most items were tasty but not very filling for those not used to the diet. only a few minute walk to the lake

Beware....

While this small, family run hotel is pleasant and fastidiously clean with an all vegan breakfast and restaurant only, it should nonetheless be mentioned that the economy room, albeit a "broom closet" with adjacent bathroom at 5 sqm or 53 sqft should not be rented to unsuspecting guests. Not enough room for a suitcase to be opened, poor, if any, low wattage lighting, a very narrow single bed without night table, nor lamp to read by, should be enough warning to any potential guest wishing to stay in a single room for what appeared to be a reasonable cost in this quaint Swiss city on Lake Constance and next to it's much larger cousin, Konstanz in Germany on the same lake. An upgrade to a regular single at additional cost to me , almost 4 times the economy size room !!!, was impossible as the hotel was apparently sold out. A refund should have been offered as space was abundant at larger hotels in the vicinity, but was not, as it was prepaid months earlier thinking that the advertised size of 5 square meters was an error in Hotel.com's advertisement. While the hotel is in some ways above average, the property should not be allowed to advertise this prison cell like accommodation at ANY cost and I would challenge Hotel.com to scour their vast array of properties and rooms worldwide to come up with one of equal size and thus hope that any potential visitor to the Hotel Swiss in Kreuzlingen very carefully considers any type of accommodation at this property.

Nice hotel in the downtown area

Very nice, clean and cozy boutique hotel in the middle of the town. Staff were very nice, helpful and friendly specially Patrick. He would go out of his way to help. Very delicious vegan breakfast and I'm not vegan either! My room was somewhat cold but in Europe you can't really adjust the temperature anyways. Will definitely go back to the same hotel.
