It was great familial vacation in the tropical island - the kids had great fun from the sliders & the adults from the quite the langue beach. Although the facility is huge with many peoples there is no noise (the acoustic is great) and its not filling to crowded.
We went there for the 2nd time after 5 years. They have added new Amazonia part outside of the House which is really cool. Especially in winter and in case of snow. There are a few pools. I really recommend spending the night there in a tent. The price if just a bit higher, but you are getting a way more experience including super good continental breakfast.
We stayed for 4 nights after 3 nights in Berlin. Easy to get to by train, shuttle bus to/from station very efficient. Stayed in a nature home, excellent accommodation, clean and spacious, 2 double rooms and one with bunk beds. Very hot when we there so air conditioning would have been appreciated. The pools in the dome are fantastic but spent most of time in outside pools as very hot in the dome. Restaurants in dome quite expensive and shop at campsite limited so wished we had bought more supplies with us from Berlin. Once there if you do not have a car you have to rely on shop and restaurants. Price of stay so much cheaper than similar parcs in UK. Cheaper to fly to Berlin and stay there! Would highly recommend
We had a great time during our stay in Tropical Islands. We were staying at a mobile home. The mobile home was luxeous, It was clean, it had two bathrooms, dishwasher and the beds were really nice. One advise that I would like give about the mobile home is that it would have been nice that there was a description of how to use the microwave and oven. We also loved the bbq outside. The parc is well maintained. They water the grass automatically and you have a nice space around your mobile home. In the parc it is very peaceful. Allthough there were other people, it was not noisy, but very peaceful and quiet. It is great that the swimmingpool is 24h open. My son wanted to swim all day. But when we wanted to see Berlin, it was fine for him because he knew he could still swim in te evening. It was around 45 minutes driving from the parc to Berlin. It was a great city to visit. The swimming pool is really great. It has a freat atmosphere and great lights inside the pool. Because they have different sections you don't feel that there are so many people inside and after a day of the swimmingpool you don't have headdacke because of the noise. So that is really great. Everything was clean in the swimmingpool, the water, the toilets etc. I only had a small accident when I used one of the slidings. A blue sliding who brings you in 8 seconds down. Allthough I followed the restrictions of how to lay down with your legs crossed and your arms on top of your body I had a bruised bump. Two weeks later it is still hurting me. I never experienced like this before. So maybe they can check the slide again. We also saw another lady who had so much pain after using this slide. I hope the parc can take a look at this slide. But overall the parc was great and we enjoyed. Even after staying for nights we could even stay longer and were not yet tired of this place.
We went Berlin for three days and then Tropical Island by train. Great place to relax couple of days. We have tent where we sleep. It's very hot to sleep. I would take cabin next time. Very good breakfast here.
I strongly recommend if you are near to stop by. We were in Berlin and from Berlin is approx. 80 km or. 1h and 15 minutes. The slides are for young and adults. The Amazon is river is the best. We were very sorry because surfing did not work, but all other things was super. They have different restaurants from Asian to German, Italian. The prices vary from 4 EUR (curry wurst), 7 EUR pizza, spaghetti, till 19 EUR all you can eat at Asian restaurant. They have frozen yogurt ice cream with toppings and delicious coffee, beer for 4 EUR per 0,5l. Tickets are cheaper if you buy it online. They have also family tickets.
The walk in the rainforrest was beautiful, especially after dark. The sauna area is amazing, secluded, calm and with a good vibe. The best time for me to enjoy the tropical islands was late in the evening and early in the morning. Night swimm in the pool soaking in colourful lights was really nice, whirlpool as well. It’s definitely worth staying a night there. We booked a tent, it was fun, but very hot inside, next time I would probably choose a different type of accomodation. Great breakfast buffet! I expected a bit more from the big pools though, as well as the chlorine smell was a bit disturbing. After a half day inside I started feeling I’m running out of air, so I had to go out for some fresh air. But overal experience was very good and satisfying. You can take a break and spend some really nice time here. I would like to definitely come back again.
In Tropical Islands are many different places where you can entertain. There are three places tot swim with their own theme. The swimming pools have different temperatures. The quality of the food is nice and you don't pay to much for it. We slept in a tent but unfortunately there was a lot of noise from an air conditioner of climate system. At 1 am. the swimming pools were closed but the lights stayed on. As result, is was as light as 1 pm . We were awakened serveral times. The next day we want to stay till the night, but because we were very tired from last night we went home earlier. We recommend to stay at Tropical Islands for a whole day. It's really worth it! But sleep at a hotel of your own camper.
We booked to stay at tropical islands over night. Upon check I gave my name and showed my booking email. The lady couldn't find my booking and said bluntly "no booking under your name, I need the voucher you should have" there is no voucher but she didn't care, as far as she was concerned there was no booking and she was not helping us or even trying! We didn't leave the desk so eventually she found the booking using my name and didn't even apologise, blamed me for putting my name in wrong when booking (I didn't) We get to my partners locker the next morning, its open and all his belongings are gone. We go to reception to ask for help. Unfortunately we got the same woman as we had checking in. She pulled out a bag of his belongings, got us to sign a form before giving us the items. The form had an itemised list which when we think back was wrong. It said passport and keys which were never in that luggage so I dont know how it was on the list! Anyway we look in the wallet and €150 cash is missing. We said it to her and she didn't care just pulled out a printout showing what time the locker was opened saying "see you left it open". We hadn't argued that we were just wondering did anyone see the money. We were very careful locking the lockers so we're shocked when we were told we left it unlocked. We said we're missing money is there any internal forms we can fill in or anything we can do in case it turns up. She said "No. What's on the sheet is what was in the bag. Phone the police if you'd like. Have a nice day". Zero sympathy for us or zero care for the customer. She just wanted us to go quickly. Next rude staff was something I over heard. A customer asked at the spa desk for the time. The man said "10.53. That means it is nearly 11. Can you not see the clock" obviously she didn't see the clock or she wouldn't have asked. It takes nothing to train staff to be friendly. Makes for a bitter experience to an otherwise nice stay. It takes nothing to train staff to be pleasant.
We stayed overnight in a tent and had a fantastic time. The kids (12 and 11) absolutely loved it, everything was very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. From check in onwards everything worked very efficiently so we could spend all our time in the different pools, our favourite was the outdoor area in particular the whitewater river. Whilst the slides weren't as big as some other parks we've been to the queues were shorter, and the variety in the pool areas was great.
