Interesting hotel close to old town

Despite not finding our booking when we tried to check in, receptionist was very good and allowed us in to a room and said, she would make sure it was sorted in the morning which it was. We had twin bed room instead of a double but glad for a room. Hotel provided a buffet breakfast in morning which was quite a few choices and tasty. Hotel across the road from old town Kranj and not far from bus station. We booked hotel as fairly close to airport and Lake Bled. It was the only hotel I have been in where they have a price list of costs if you break any item in the hotel.

This was for an overnight stay for an early morning flight the next day, and the hotel was ideal for the purpose as it's only a 10 minutes drive from the airport. Very friendly staffs, and the hotel is right across the road from the Kranj old town.

Got a key at reception, went to room just to find that room lady taking a shower in the same room. Got another room. Beds are short with uncomfortable pillows. Controlling TV is complicated and confusing. Asked receptionist to wake me at 5:20 am and to verify my parking ticket immediately, so I can freely drive out from hotel parking in case nobody is in reception next morning. She did not wanted to do it and assured me that somebody will be on reception next morning. "Fortunately", I had a bad sleep (due to uncomfortable bad and pillow) and woke up at 5:10. Of course, nobody phoned me at 5:20. Went down looking for receptionist to verify my parking ticket, but nobody was there. I had early morning flight from Ljubljana, so I started to run around, looking and screaming for somebody, but no reply for 10 minutes. Suddenly, somewhere, from the kitchen area, receptionist showed up saying she is sorry and let me go.

Better than expect

We just chose this hotel to stay at before continuing to Bled from Ljubljana and we're very pleased. The rooms were very clean and it was near the historical part of the town. It took only 20 mins to get there from Ljubljana and then only 20 mins to Bled.

We enjoyed our stay very much. We did have great difficulty in locating the hotel. It right in the centre of the town but almost camouflaged. We had to ask directions from residents of the town, and several of them were unable to respond.The hotel needs a more evident external sign. Apart from that, all was very good and very polite staff. The location was extremely convenient for other sites, restaurants bars etc

Centrak location in Kranj, Slovenia

Hotel location is very convenient for very early flight, as well as, side trip to Lake Bled.. Also front desk reception personnel were very cooperative and provided high quality service. Room was clean.

Good spot, looks much nicer in than out.

Another comfortable and friendly stay. Staff are very accomodating. Breakfast however was even worse than previous stays - poor breakfast really lets this friendly hotel down. Great restaurants and cafes in the old town across the road. Old town and surrounding sceneray stunning.Lake Bled only half an hour away but never got there.

Very close to centre and bus stops

The hotel was well situated with buses stopping right outside of the hotel. (We had been told to get off at the bus station but the bus did actually stop outside). We took the bus straight from the airport and used this as a stop over on the way to Lake Bled. The room was very clean and the breakfast was excellent. Staff were very helpful and even managed to contact us after we had left to inform us that we had left our driving licence behind enabling us to pick it up on the way back.

Well positioned with excellent service and value

Great for a short business trip within walking distance of the old town. Excellent services and reasonable prices. Very extensive buffet breakfast and free wi fi. Only minus was the room temperature cannot be controlled individually and was therefore too warm. Slept with the balcony door open.
