This hotel desperately needs a refurbishment and photos do not represent what the rooms look like today. The hotel grounds are beautiful, surrounded by gorgeous flowers and trees. Really feels like your amongst a tropical forest. Because of the layout of the hotel and how it’s situated on a mountain kind of thing, it means there are many stairs to get up to your room. Not so bad but annoying after a long day and just wanting to get to your hotel room. The room we stayed in (a deluxe room), was OK. Out-dated and worn out furniture. Huge bed with a very firm mattress (I prefer soft mattress so it wasn’t that comfortable for me) but that being said I never had a terrible nights sleep. Generously sized bathroom with basic amenities provided. Our friends stayed in a different room (also deluxe), their layout was completely different and the room had a weird damp smell. Their bathroom was smaller than ours too. Wi-fi was absolutely terrible. You have to log in every time even if you’ve just left your phone for 5 minutes. Connection is slow and temperamental, will just stop working and sometimes won’t even connect at all. Very frustrating. Had to remind the front desk twice that I wanted our room made up because it got to 3pm and wasn’t made up yet. First time I reminded the front desk I had to call back again because we waited 20 minutes and still nothing...none of the staff can speak English very well either which didn’t help. Pool area was generally nice but view over the infinity pool was of a dirty roof and the street. Would not stay here again.
This was a classic example of the photos looking much much better than the reality on the ground. The resort looked fine when we arrived but upon entering the adora suite we had booked, the room was old and the furnishings such as the sofas, throw pillows and curtains looked old and suspect. The bedsheets felt damp and dirty even after we had it changed the next day. The air conditioning was old and noisy. The "infinity pool" looked nice at first but when you enter it, you can feel sand and dirt on the pool floor and you can see dirt floating with you in the water. The "infinity" is a great view of the hotel's own metal roof, electrical cables of the road and not much else. We were given complimentary cocktails everyday but there was a difference to the cocktails served and service quality when you go before 9pm or after 9+ pm. Before 9pm, the service is great and the staff would accommodate different beverage requests that tasted fine. After the crowd has died down after 9 or 10pm, the gin and tonic I had one night tasted like gin and iced water. The breakfast was sub-par. The gym is smaller than the suite itself. And housekeeping didn't have the language skills to fulfil a simple request. Overall, this resort needs to be refurbished. Cleanliness is a real issue and it is not to the level it is advertised.
We Really loved staying here. The rooms are large, beautiful and accommodating. Resort is beautiful and very relaxing. The breakfast is seriously worth the price of the room. Best breakfast I've ever had at a hotel. Great resort for kids. We brought 2 toddlers and they had a crib for us and there's a small couch in the room. Staff is super friendly and informative. Great location for everything. Beaches are beautiful.
Good location and nice service. Air conditioning is not integrated and it blows right to the bed so you have to adjust it constantly. There is a 7 eleven right next to the hotel so it's quite convinient. Good value for money.
We were really disappointed when we stepped into our Adora Suite room, which we would spend the next five nights at. The room looked nothing at all like the photos online, clearly a decade outdated. You could call it rustic, but in truth, it was visibly wearing out and slowly losing its charm. Curtains and furniture (including sofa, lamp) were very worn and dirty-looking, while the bed and pillow were uncomfortable to sleep in. Basic amenities are provided (shampoo and soap dispenser, comb, cotton bud, shower cap, sewing kit), but you’ll have to request for a disposable shaver or a dental kit (get your own as the toothpaste tastes really weird) from Housekeeping. We barely stepped into the Balcony/Porch area to use the bath-tub or chill at the sofa area, as there are just too many mosquitoes outside the room. The swimming pool was rather dirty too and buffet breakfast was worth giving a miss. The only saving grace for Pakasai Resort is their friendly staff who would often try very hard to provide their best service whenever possible to any guest (from Front-desk to Housekeeping). And of course having the convenience of a 7-11 just across the road. It’s really sad but the room has aged so much compared to the online photos and I will try to post up some pictures soon. All in all, I wouldn’t pick this room/resort again if I ever come back to Krabi, but I can’t comment on the other rooms. Other helpful things to note: - The Airport shuttle service at 7.30am was not available even though they listed down as one of the available timing on schedule. Do check at least a day in advance with the resort, otherwise you may need to make your own airport shuttle arrangements with a tour agency to avoid paying exorbitant amount for a cab. - The daily afternoon activity at the resort is a great initiative, but when we were there it is often a lonely sight with the staff sitting there by herself. Such a pity as they don’t publicise enough about it.
I had 1 night stay. This hotel is 10mins walk to Nopparatara beach. Clean and big room with ocean view (construction ruins it). Unexpected super delicious thai food (thai set) dinner at their restaurant! Also drinks menu were fantastic( thai tea)
Great stay, very well located a bit away from the buzz, loved the greenness of the place and it was relaxing from the first moment. Staff is very friendly and helpful when needed, and the restaurant was great whether a'la carte or at the breakfast. Hotel isnt new but still well maintained, pool area was spacious and great. Rooms cleanliness could be improved. Will be back for sure next year!!
Hotel is set out nice. Lots of tropical trees and plants. Spacious. My room was okay. I had a balcony. View was not best. New big hotel blocking beach view. Staff friendly but english and information is average. Kitchen is very good. I enjoyed food and drinks. Must try! As for the area Ao nang personally i didnt like. Like alot of thailand broken footpaths and busy streets. Loud and smelly vehicle exhaust fumes....
Enjoyed the time spent in this hotel, very nice location and rooms. Very eco-friendly pathways and wooden setup. Feels really close to nature with natural pond and trees, flowers. Rooms were clean and we had ocean facing room.
Lovely resort. Good accommodation. Delicious breakfast. Polite staff. Good location. Only our room 1520 doesn't have a good location at the resort. Next to the reception and the main road. I had booked the Andora Suite. Not the cheapest room at all so I expected a more quiet environment.
