Best location out of all the resorts on Railay, trust me! Best pool as well!

The location and the bungalo are quite unique. However the cleanliness level was poor, the facilities are not being maintained, and overall its quite dissapointing and not value for money.

This property is worn and not clean. The pools are incredibly small for the amount of guests. Staff isn’t friendly. There’s nothing good to say about this hotel.

The pool area and beach are wonderful! The room seemed very out of date and not well kept especially in the bathroom. The shower was discolored and dilapidated. There were lots of bugs in the room, mosquitoes, ants, and small flies. The staff was helpful. One bellman was very kind and took us all the way to check in at our next hotel next door.

I got the privacy cottage and although it is slightly outdated this hotel is wonderful. The breakfast was great, the pool and beach are so close. Also there are tours and transportation right at hotel check in (highly recommend).

I was a little worried after I booked this resort from some of the reviews. Anyhow it was super easy to get to the resort as the airport staff know Railay Bay and so do the boat drivers. It only cost about $8.00 US dollars to get from the airport (45 min. car ride and 15 min. boat ride) to Railay Bay Resort and Spa. Well wroth the money and the beach is beautiful and you can walk to many more beaches and many places to eat. If you want more shops or restaurants it is just a 15 min. boat ride to Ao Nang which is a big city. You can also see the sunrise on the east side and the sunset on the west side of Railay Bay. They are both amazing. We were there 5 nights and we had traveled in Thailand with a tour for 14 days prior to the stay at Railay and the resort was like all the hotels we had stayed at with amazing breakfasts and friendly staff. Make sure to do an island tour with a long tail boat they are very nice and I felt very safe everywhere I was in Thailand. This was an unforgettable and amazing trip.

This is a hotel that is rated 4 star that should barely be considered a 2 star hotel. For the amount of money you will pay for this place, definitely look elsewhere and not consider. My detailed below review is based on a 4 night stay here. Room: I stayed in 2 different room types here as the first night my air conditioning was broken and the shower was filthy with hair and other brown/blackish pieces floating throughout the clogged drain. This room was in one of the isolated privacy cottages that is a far walk from either beach. I was so disgusted by the first night cause I also dealt with rude staff at the restaurant that I called the front desk and they didn't even offer to bring a fan over the broken air conditioning and so I just met with reception first thing in the morning. When I got moved to a new room it was considered an upgrade by going to one of the suites. The room really wasn't any bigger than the previous room, but was in a much better location near Railway West and the air conditioning worked so it did become a more comfortable appropriate stay in this room and I appreciate the staff making that fix. The bed was comfortable and the room seemed fairly clean although the wall next to bed had gross stains where it looks like someone recently vomited on the wall. The bathroom tub was still a little weird cause there was no shower faucet hanging and I had to use a towel to turn the hot water faucet as it would barely turn. When I would turn the jets on the bat

I was there for 3 days in September, I plan to go back. This location is the exact opposite of wild and crazy Bangkok. Everyone I show my pictures to are amazed. You are on an island, no cars and crazy nightlife. I would go to a bar, the "Last Bar" that is all that you need. This is the place to go to wind down from your busy home life before perhaps you take on the craziness of Bangkok. So take a moment to sit back and unwind at Railay Bay Resort and Spa, you will not regret it.

We stayed in the luxury beachfront cottage next to the pool. Worth every penny. The room was clean and luxurious. The view from the porch was unparalleled. The only negative about this resort was that the restaurant was subpar but there are other restaurants nearby on the beach that are much better and can be walked to easily. Highly recommended.

I was an unbelievable experience; the views were spectacular, the food delicious, the beach water was crystal clear, and it was like being on an island away from the rest of the world.

This hotel is on the West side of the beach which I preferred. The West side is quieter, the beach is sandier and cleaner, and the sun sets are beautiful. The hotel restaurant is OK but I would recommend walking over to the East beach for a less expensive meal. The spa is over priced and the massage I got was not great. Again, head over to the East side of the Island for a more affordable and better massage. My room was amazing. I had a private villa which was very quiet and a fenced in private out door area with an outdoor shower. It felt very safe and the room even came with a flashlight to walk around with at night as well as beach bag and mat. Mostly couples and families at this resort. Quiet in the evenings but overall very nice and comfortable. Completely comparable to the other resorts in the area.

We got a good low season deal and spent 5 nights here in June. The pool location in proximity to the beach is probably the best in Railay, and we spent a lot of time going back and forth between the pool and beach. Railay, being somewhat isolated from Krabi and Ao Nang, is a little more expensive, but we were happy with the value, all things considered. Generally, the guests were couples and families.

Railay Bay in general is a strange place because everyone who works on the beach seems to have decided to be as unfriendly and unhelpful as possible. This hotel is no exception to this rule We opted for the privacy villa after reading negative reviews of the room qualities. The room itself was nice while the bathroom could use some updating. We actually used the outdoor shower in our villa because the main shower was so unappealing. While beds in all hotels in Thailand are hard, the beds here are just a smidge better than sleeping on the floor. The breakfast was subpar but this is to be expected because good food does not exist in all of Railay Bay (except at Rayavadee which is pricey.)
