Great location with amazing views, no AC

Overall this is a great location in Poipu. The lanai is beautiful and creates a perfect place to watch sunset, sunrise and the ocean. The condo is spacious with many great amenities. Highly recommend but be aware of the below before you book: 1. This condo does not have air conditioning. We missed this in the listing and the reviews didn’t mention. Not a huge issue if you are used to sleeping in 75-80 degree rooms. During the day the condo was very warm. There are several fans but we found ourselves still warm. Sleeping was tough and being on the first floor, we did not feel comfortable leaving the patio doors open at night. I would guess the rooms were 75-80 degrees each night. 2. There is quite a bit of construction at the moment. We were made aware that the pool was being resurfaced during our stay and prepared for that. However, we did not know that many of the condos are having windows replaced and possibly other repairs. They actually replaced the windows in our condo during our stay and we were not told. Not sure if they entered our condo or replaced them from the outside, but would have liked to be notified beforehand. This also left a strong caulk/paint smell in the condo. Make no mistake, the condo is great and the location is wonderful. Just a few minor hiccups that made it less than 5 star for us.

We love Kauai! Whalers Cove was wonderful! Oceanfront. Beautiful sunsets from our lanai. Steps to a lovely pool and hot tub. Awesome and relaxing getaway with our travel buddies couple friends.

Oceanfront Awesomeness!

My family spent one week at this condo, and it was nothing short of amazing! After a minor glitch with rental agency calendars and a stressful hour wondering if we were actually going to get to check in and stay at Whalers Cove #113, Louis kindly sorted it all out and we were able to settle in! The unit provides so much - including beach chairs + an umbrella, boogie birds, some snorkel gear, shampoo + conditioner, etc. It is beautifully maintained, well stocked, has comfortable beds, and looks right out onto the blue sea. Sunrises and sunsets on the lanai were only topped by the sounds of waves crashing 24/7. The grounds are beautiful, and the location was great. It is a quieter, lovely, neighborhood, and walking distance to some restaurants/stores. It is 100% a place our family would choose to stay again!

Expansive ocean view

This lovely property with an expansive ocean view is in a great location. The gorgeous sunrises, the animated parrots at dawn and dusk, and sleeping to the sounds of the ocean were amazing. Nearby shops and restaurants were very convenient. The unit has everything one would need: well-equipped kitchen, comfortable lanai, beach chairs and umbrella, boogie board. Overall, the unit could use some updating, especially the sliding screens which fell off the track every time.

Run, don’t walk, to your computer or smart phone and reserve unit 113 at Whalers Cove. 2 bedroom 2 bath, spacious. Laundry and plenty of towels provided in the unit. Gorgeous pool and jacuzzi just a 1 min walk out your lanai. Three gas grills on property. Some beach equipment provided. Beach chairs need to be updated. Great location. Baby beach 5 min walk west of unit. Love this place!

We loved our stay. So peaceful, close walk to restaurants, or good kitchen for staying in. We didn’t want to leave. No sound machine required- just sleep to the waves outside.
