Perched on the southernmost point of Kauaʻi, The Makahuena offers a spectacular oceanfront setting atop dramatic lava cliffs with sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean. Whether you're watching the sunrise, spotting seasonal whales, or simply enjoying the refreshing trade winds, this beautiful resort provides the perfect setting for a memorable island escape.

This spacious 2-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom multi-level condominium is located on the second floor of the building (stair access required). The main level features an inviting open-concept living area, a fully equipped kitchen, dining space, convenient half bath, private washer and dryer, and an open-air lanai where you can relax and enjoy the tropical surroundings.

A brand-new split air conditioning system has recently been installed, providing air conditioning in the living area and both bedrooms for year-round comfort.

Upstairs, the primary suite features a comfortable King-size bed, ceiling fan, split AC, and a private ensuite bathroom. The guest suite offers a Queen-size bed, ceiling fan, split AC, and its own ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower, providing privacy and comfort for family or friends.

Beautiful stay at Makahuna Villas

We had a lovely stay at the villas! We had just one other couple with us, and we had plenty of room. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was fairly well stocked and clean, and it was so convenient to have a washer and dryer in the villa. We had one issue with one of the window a/c units, but a call to the agency got it fixed that day. Thank you for an enjoyable stay on beautiful Kauai!

Having the greenbelt path and the shore path nearby made it very easy to get a lot of walks in during our stay. The proximity to Brennecke's & Kalapaki Joe's made for easy access to lunch/Happy Hour/dinner. We really enjoyed the views of the ocean while hanging out on the balcony during rainy periods. Management company was excellent. Emails and texts were promptly answered. The location was fantastic and the view was beautiful. The not-so-good: the entire unit was very dated and needs some improvements: cracked tiles in the kitchen, scuffed and nicked furniture, rusted door knobs and appliances, bathroom fixtures pitted, baseboards coming off, etc. But everything was very clean, including the linens, towels, bedsheets and pillows. Overall I’d probably recommend it but would provide caveats.

Perfect honeymoon getaway!

We loved staying here for the second half of our honeymoon. We appreciated how everything you needed was there, easy to find, and offered more space. Even more incredible is the proximity to the coast to watch the waves crash in. We would definitely return here if we find ourselves back in Kauai!

The pictures were so misleading for this unit. The ocean view no longer matches the listing. The kitchen cabinets doors were dirty around the handles and the floor needs to be replaced. The whole unit was a disappointment. It felt tired and not accurately represented in the listing.

Very clean and well equipped for vacationing, beds are comfortable. Would be nice to have towel bars in the bathrooms for washcloths and hand towels. 2 steep flights of stairs to the front door, plus another to bedroom level will make staying difficult for anyone with knee, back, or mobility issues, but the ocean view from the balcony was lovely.
