Great little hotel!

We only stayed one night but we loved this hotel. Our room was large and comfortable and we had our own pool (which was amazing) that overlooked the ocean. There was only a very small spot to enter the ocean which we did and enjoyed, but if you are looking for a resort right on a traditional beach where you can lay out this probably isn’t for you.

I will always stay at DD Hut any time I visit Koh Tao from now on. Excellent staff, great location, quiet nights but close to bars and restaurants. The beds are comfy and the facilities are clean.

Great service and cleanliness. We upgraded to the Honeymoon suite for a bargain and had the best view of all, well worth it. Pool is a little small. 10 minute walk to Sairee beach, 15 min walk from pier (there are a bunch of hills though, so if you have bags or can’t walk up grab a cab). They offer free taxi on way out back to the pier which is nice. Breakfast next door for 250 baht per person is mediocre. Overall nice stay!

I would NOT RECOMMEND staying at this hotel. - The first room (triple room with seaview) smelled like sewage, and instead of properly addressing the issue, we were moved 3 TIMES during our stay. - Dirty bathrooms, leaking ceiling, and a broken toilet seat made for an uncomfortable experience. - Non-existent WiFi —the hotel does not have a proper working wifi. They borrowed access from another hotel, but it never worked. - If you plan to stay and do remote work here, don’t bother. - The shower was either scalding or freezing, with no in-between. - Filthy sheets and pillows —check them before using! Pillows and sheets have heavy yellow stains - Lounger cushions are dirty —not a place you want to relax. - The pictures online are very misleading—it does not look as clean as it is - The place is run down and not maintained. - The staff blamed everything on a recent storm, but the same issues persisted in multiple rooms. - Inconsistent customer service—first, they said our breakfast was comped for our stay due to the room issues, but then they reversed the decision the next day. - At almost 5,000 THB per night, this hotel was a complete rip-off—there are much better options for far less. - Our stay in Koh Tao should have been a highlight, but this hotel ruined the experience. Pros: - Great location—within walking distance of all the main attractions

We absolutely loved our stay here! The hotel is beautiful and the staff are so kind and welcoming. The location is perfect for walking to the pier area and the main sunset beach. The view from the pool is amazing. You can rent the scooters on site. This was our favorite stay in all of Thailand :)

We had a mixed experience at this property. On the positive side, check-in was seamless, and the staff polite. It’s conveniently located. Our unit had a porch with a lounger, and a hammock out front. The A/C was cold, the breakfast buffet decent, the pool close by, and the nightly singers were a bonus. They also arranged return transportation to the pier. However, our experience was marred by several issues. There was no assistance or advice on transportation from the pier, beyond saying it was a 10 minute walk. But that estimate is only if you aren’t rolling suitcases uphill over uneven ground. Our room, number 11, was located near where demolition/construction was taking place. The constant racket all day was unbearable, despite earplugs and noise-canceling headphones. Additionally, the lack of privacy on our porch due to the public stairway, and the view of the adjacent garbage area, was also a drawback. A half-wall partition would improve privacy and block the unsightly view. Furthermore, the rooms could benefit from some renovation, as the decor and linens were worn and dingy. Another huge issue was the inconsistent Wi-Fi, which dropped out for up to 1/2 a day at a time! Overall, our stay was adequate. While this property might be suitable for those who plan to be out most of the day and use their own data, it didn't meet our expectations for a relaxing retreat.

The restaurant and bar on the cliff were stunning, the pool perfectly appointed for the most incredible sunsets and the staff were super friendly and helpful. It’s not fancy but boy, does it deliver!!

Loved the most the layout, design and location of the resort. The lighthouse design was so cute and like nothing we have stayed in before. There were only a few rooms on the property which made it feel secluded and peaceful. With a restaurant and infinity pool just 5 steps away from our rooms we couldn’t have asked for a better stay on koh Tao. Staff were so kind and helpful.

Second time here, the rooms are spacious, clean and have amazing views. The staff are as friendly as they were before. Only fownside is nowhere to unpack your clothes so living out your suitcase on the floor. The restaurant is now very pricey for the area, and unfortunately the food doesnt match the prices. Worth a 5mins walk to a llace called pranees kitchen for authentic Thai food
