The beach is beautiful but beware of booking a “beachside bungalow”. They’re not all exactly on the front row of the beach. Ours was a bit further back. Only like 10 seconds walk but we couldn’t really see the sea. Try to book/ask for front row beachside. It’s quite a basic hotel… but authentic Thai style. Lots of restaurants within walking distance and a short taxi to Chaweng.

Very comfortable rooms, nice beds, lovely pool,I loved the ponds outside the rooms. Yummy breakfast. My only concern was the fridge and TV socket was very dodgy the fridge kept turning off, and the connection to the TV was making crackling noises. So I managed to pull the TV plug out to stop it from sparking, it looked to me that the plug socket was broken.

Loved first bungalow the staff go above and beyond from house keeping to the lovely ladies and men in the restaurant 👌 to the reception staff amazing 👌view for fireworks were awesome. The only thing that was disappointing was the bed very very hard even with a topper. I will return once the new beds arrive hkpefully sooner than later

We hoped for a beachfront bungalow or cottage and this turned out to be better than we ever expected. The beach was close to the room, the ocean was warm and clear, it was the best wave pool I’ve ever seen.

Hotel was very clean but a little dated. The main issue was lack of internet, it didn't work in the rooms which also meant no TV was available as this was WiFi based. Not the end of the world but a shame as it's nice to be able to catch the news or a movie. Pool and beach very good

Location, location n location !

Just returned from Koh Samui after a 5 night stay. First Bungalow is all about location, location n location. It is bang on the beach and a good beach at that. I had a beach bungalow, overlooking directly into the ocean and literally 25 metres away from the water edge. The waves were calm and one could easily walk in about 50 metres into the water, even with no swimming skills. And now the not so good part...breakfast nothing to talk about, very average. Generally the resort is old and run down and dont look for anything plush in the room interiors, etc. Aircon and bathroom worked fine. I am used to a hard mattress but this was too hard even for me. On my request, they were nice enough to spread a soft mattress topper which made it better. Service levels were acceptable and nothing to complain about. If you feel the price of beach bungalows are steep, its only because of the location. If the stay is not very long, it is worth it.
