At the last minute, we had booked this hotel, and we did not regret it. We took a deluxe room overlooking the sea. The view was fantastic, across the bay of Lamia Beach. The area of the hotel and the beach is very quiet, and again very quickly at the beach about 600 m you can reach the city, or taxi for about 200 BHT / 5 euros one way. The hotel is not suitable for people with walking problems because it has a very steep approach to the hotel and the beach. The hotel is older and needs renovation. Rooms sapacious. Clean ok. But They have a problem with changing bedclothes??!!! ( 9 night not changing) Staff very kind, although most of them do not know English. Breakfast foods are very homogeneous. The restaurant is located in a beautiful tropical garden full of squirrels, butterflies bat and mosquitoes and lizards. The hotel allows the entry of its own beverage. We have gone through many beaches and this is truly one of the cleanest and quietest beaches on the island. Very shallow water. The beach has cheap massages and a cozy restaurant. Good value for money.
My husband and I have stayed here only for 3 nights, but we could have stayed much longer. Big room with a fantastic view over the bay from your balcony. Rooms are nicely decorated and the bathroom was very spacious too. Breakfast is good and freshly cooked for you, also a good range of sweets on display. Having dinner is possible too, but there is no extensive menu. Beer is available but no wine, you can get wine (or cocktails) at the bar on the beach, next to the hotel. It's not a very luxurious hotel like the Renaissance or Banyan Tree (more or less on the same road), but price/quality is excellent. Staff were all very friendly and the hotel manager kindly arranged our transport, which arrived very quickly. The way to the beach and swimming pool is not easy going if you have problems with walking. We would definitely recommend this lovely hotel.
Me and my partner just got back from staying at this hotel for two weeks and I cannot thank them enough for the wonderful service they provided. Our bags were left in Bangkok at the airport and the hotel went out their way to chase this up and personally deliver our cases to our door. We were treated with such respect and the staff were so polite and unfortunately we both got sick and had to go to hospital to which the hotel manager offered to take us himself and went out of his way to always check we were okay. Being so far away from home can be quite daunting but we were made to feel so safe and relaxed and this hotel really should be praised for how wonderful they are. Rooms always cleaned to a beautiful standard and the hotel itself is lovely. Thank you so much to the manager especially and the staff you do an amazing job!
Firstly the staff were all lovely and kind throughout our entire trip. The location of cinnamon beach on the end of Lamai beach is the one major disappointment of this hotel for myself and my parter. The water is incredibly shallow and the sand is full of shells and tiny bits of coral, meaning we avoided the beach immediately outside the hotel over our trip, which was a shame. However the room was great, large, comfortable and with modern furnishings. The one bad thing about the room was the large amount of tiny ants all over the floors. One serious point though, if you're a family I can't see this place as appropriate for two reasons, there are some fairly steep steps down to the pool, which would give any kid a run for their money no matter how much energy they have, and the isolated location of the hotel itself, it is down an isolated road, off from another isolated road, with no type of gate, security guard or cameras around the location. That's not to say we felt unsafe here, however you should be extra vigil in checking that you have locked your door. On a positive note we did enjoy the surrounding areas, and the moped rental from the hotel (for 200B) per day was essential in facilitating our ability to enjoy this. I recommend moving a little further down the beach to behind the McDonald's on lamai beach, or indeed up to fisherman's village for beach days.
Staff were incredibly helpful and pleasant. Location was perfect for relaxation. Everything was immaculate. The pool and bedrooms were cleaned thoroughly and daily. Mini bar was restocked daily and at very reasonable prices
First of all i wonna thank Sawat the Hotelmanager 10 Stars goes to Sawat (he is the best Manager i've ever meet) Also the Hotelstaff is very nice, thank you to them too. I forgot my watch and a dress, so i write a Email to Sawat and my personal stuff will be send to me. Breakfast was very good. Cinnamon is about 5-7 minutes away from Lamai and the trouble. It's situated very peacefull, and i enjoy my 3 weeks there from day one until i left. The food in the restaurant is very good too, and not expensive. The only two thinks i would like the Hotel to improve is...is... 1. A handrailing for the stairs, to go down to the poolarea. It is very dangerous for older people. 2. The staff in the restaurant do not have to speak perfect english...but at least a little bit when people order food and drinks. I enjoy my time there and i will be back in 2019. For all the people who like to party, this is not a place for you. From the Hotel to downtown Lamai is about 300 Bath with the taxi. For people who like to relax Cinnamon is PARADISE.
This was our first hotel on our trip throughout SEA and we loved this hotel! We got in on a great deal (around 45 CAD a night including breakfast) which made it totally worth it! The hotel itself is a little out of the way from the busy parts of Samui but we didn't mind as we rented a scooter or we would walk along the beach into town, which was stunning (around 30-45min walk). The manager was extremely pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was good, nothing too special but the fruit and pastries were fresh and the eggs were hot! The pool is nice, not too big but we were often the only people in it! There are some sun chairs by the pool but none on the beach (I wish there had been some on the beach!). The beach itself is nice, but very shallow (you have to walk quite far out) and there are some rocks. We actually loved the rock formations sticking out of the water by the bar on the beach to the left of the hotel - very cool to walk through! They serve lunch and dinner which was decently priced and very good taste wise. Our room was absolutely huge and had an amazing view! The shower was small though. my 6.3 boyfriend couldn't fit and had to hunch over but other wise the bathroom was perfect. Overall, if we were back on the island I would come back here!
This was our first stop over in Koh Samui for two nights and what a place it was! Away from the hussle and bustle and minimal noise and resonable priced food. Maybe not a place for kids or if you cant walk too far as the steps down to the pool are steep. If you need to pop into town then head down the pool then onto the beach keep right and follow it all the way to the jetty with the fishing boats on then oppisite this is a slip way which leads you onto the high street where you can dine, shop or exchange currency, this walk should take you 20 mins. A room with a view is room A1 this is the penthouse suite and the views were wonderful and as a treat order dinner and have it sent to your room to eat, drink and watch the sun go down.. Every staff member was happy and always pleased to see you and the manager was always welcoming and always pleased to help. If you want a little romance and peace then this the place for you.
We did not had much luck with the weather, it was raining quite a lot during our stay. The room was clean, however you should not set the AC below 24degrees, as it would freeze and the AC channels crossing the hallway and the bathroom will start to condensate, means, that you have a wet floor, toillet, sink, walls and ceilling. I informed the front desk, they will probably fix it. The view is nice from the balconi. The pool was down near the beach. The stairs are made out of rocks which you have to hit in order to avoid injuries! It's definetly a workout. Pool is clean. The restaurant at the hotel is ok but the service looks unhappy/annoyed.
This small resort is a little faded but in the most perfect way...quiet and with the best family service its a hideaway from the hustle of Chaweng yet a short beach walk away to the town of Lamai. The staff are amazing and the views incredible... I almost don't want to write this review as its perfect dreamy character should not change. The stairs to the beach are rocky so older visitors may not feel comfortable. Its close to luxury places like Rennaisance and Banyan tree but the overgrown beautiful gardens, the great staff and the unique position make this the ideal place to really unwind.
