Walking it, the places feel very "breezy" akin to Ibiza themed style resort. It even has Cafe del Mar songs playing in the background. WIth a privat-ish beach front - its shared among 4-5 other hotels in the same stretch - stretching approx 3 km, it has one of the softest sand beach around (better than Maenam area along northern part of the island). Rooms are pretty large and comfy but it does need some maintenance - especially the toilets areas. The silicone in the glass shower area needs to be changed. Overall appreciate the large rooms, the functional kitchen which can be used to prepare simple light meals and the large verandah area. It has 2 nicely situated pools - a lounge pool and a lap pool with deck chairs surrounding the area. Location wise, you would need to depend on public transport to get you to Lamai or Chaweng town. Walking is not advisable.
We went for the buffet lunch! The variety was amazing! Alcohol was good but not cheap for wine. The pool was nice and clean! Very yummy lunch! We had a Day bed for the day and had great service all Day long!
We visited Beach republic for 2 weeks in a double room. What a great place to stay. The rooms are very spacious (we had one extra bed in the living room which is great since it leaves enough living space. Beautiful decorated rooms with all the amenities you would expect. Great breakfast and do not forget the Sunday brunch. The cabanas located at the beach are very nice and a great personal service throughout the stay. Very much recommended and well worth the somewhat higher price range.
Pros: nice private pool in villa, comfortable bed, extremely friendly and attentive staff, good breakfast quality and selection, decent fitness center. Cons: Rooms are showing serious wear and in need of updating, had some issues with pool cleanliness, beach in front of hotel is not really usable due to shallowness of water,
Visited for a family reunion week. Amazing villas, stupendous food and great service. Well located for island adventures too. Don't miss Sunday business brunch! But breakfast really good every day. Room service also very quick and good. Escape game place next door was fun outing.
Overall good experience,we stayed in a standard room.Clean and tidy.Staff helpful and friendly. The view from the balcony is ordinary, you look into palm trees and the access road to the resort. But who spends a lot of time in the hotel room?Air conditioner was very noisy in our room. The only negative experience we had was the shuttle bus driver refused to wait for my wife who needed a quick bathroom stop before we headed back to the resort from Lamai on a Sunday night. The only reason he waited is a passenger on the bus refused to close the bus door until my wife returned. What was even more frustrating is it was before the official pick up time?. Also we found the food prices at the resort were very expensive.Disappointing considering how cheap food is in Koh Samui.I appreciate its resort prices, but $24.00 for spring rolls and french fries?Buffet is excellent, although it gets boring with much of the same food everyday. If you don't like music playing while relaxing at poolside, you may not enjoy music that is played sometimes on the loud side
Beach republic is a fantastic resort. Staff are very friendly and helpful and happy to help you with anything you need. The rooms are very clean and spacious. The breakfast buffet was very substantial and caters to all and the restaurant onsite has a great menu. Its in a great location, close to Lamai, Chaweng and Bohput. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone.
All you can wish at a resort when traveling with a family of five ( 24/22/13) Cosy villa, very big and comfortable , private pool , great dining area , beach facilities - ideal location- 20 min from Chaweng , 5 to Lamai, 30 to the fisherman village. Very recommended
We took some friends here visiting from OS and it was a great day. Rude old Eurotrash in his barely there swimsuit told us to talk quieter but go figure there was a dj playing. Not really peaceful. Anyway the food, drinks and service were all perfect.
We could not fault this place. Our family of 4 stayed in a 2-bedroom tropical pool villa and it was perfect. Every time we walked in our door we felt so relaxed. The private pool was fantastic, the indoor / outdoor set up was both tropical yet comfortable, with the indoor areas completely protected and air conditioned. All creature comforts were supplied, with a full-sized fridge, kitchen with everything you needed, even an espresso machine and ipod dock. Our little girls (4 and 7) loved their upstairs bedroom with their own TV - it was also a bonus having the Disney Channel for kids, and Australia TV so we didn't even miss the footy finals. All the beds were extremely comfortable - they even had a pillow menu! The resort restaurant and pool area was also excellent, and very reasonably priced. We also ate at several other places nearby you could just walk to along the beach. A hot tip is if you walk left along the beach (away from Lamai) and paddle past the rocky outcrop, you stumble across another couple of private beaches with beachfront pools and restaurants you can also go to.
