A surprising small resort with huge rooms. I needed only a stopover before heading out of the ferry the next day. This was much more than I needed as a solo traveler but for the price you can’t beat it. Only a 10 or 15 minute drive from the Nathan Pier.

Staff are friendly and very helpful. They go out of their way to make sure you have a pleasant stay. They gave us a lift in the hotel car to the local shops to buy provisions that we needed after the airline lost our luggage. They were so kind. We only had a 1 night stopover but I would definitely stay here again for longer.

This resort was everything we hoped for, quiet, large comfortable and clean rooms with a lovely beachfront location. All the staff from gardeners and cleaners to reception and the lovely restaurant team were genuinely very friendly, helpful and efficient, anticipating our every need. Food was delicious and served with great care and Thai charm. The sunsets over the sea are straight from Hollywood. Our only slight disappointment was the lack of any English language TV channels. We would not hesitate to recommend this charming resort to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in a beautiful area of Samui.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Apartment was very spacious and comfortable and kept very clean. Food at the restaurant was very good and reasonably priced. The hotel is away from the busier areas and is ideal for anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing break. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Peaceful resort

I chose the resort deliberately as I wanted to stay somewhere quiet by the beach. The room was cleaned daily, the paintwork and walls could do with a bit of tidying up, and the shower needs modernising but all in all I liked the accommodation. As there are only 8 bungalows there isn’t a mad rush for sunloungers or any of the other stuff bag happens at larger hotels. The staff were very helpful, although sometimes due to the language barrier I had some frustrating conversations about the WiFi going down ( they kept trying to give me the password instead of looking at the modem). The food and treatments are more expensive, it’s a resort so that’s to be expected. There is a 7 eleven at the corner of the main road if you need to stock up on supplies. I used the transfer service a few times to the neaby town but soon realised if I walked to the main road I could get a taxi cheaper each way. If you are looking for a nice quiet resort I would highly recommend, perhaps hire a car or moped to get out and about. It’s rougly 40 mins from the airport so also worth booking your own transfer ( not via the resort as they massively overcharge)

From the minute I arrived to the minute I left I was made to feel extra special, cold towel, juice on arrival, great, the staff make this place the experience of a lifetime, along with the quiet location and wonderful outlook and vicinity to the beach. Thank you Jan and the staff for a special week to celebrate a birthday where nothing was too much effort, or trouble and everything was done with a smile, even from the special furry staff who really take their role of security and just being there so serious. I will be back to experience more of the same in the not too distant future, an excellent find, shame we have to share our enjoyable experiences with others as I want it all too myself :)

Quiet Resort, Amazing staff

The staff and grounds of the Siam Residence were AMAZING. This is a very quiet part of Koh Samui and not in the middle of it all, which is exactly what we wanted. This small 8-villa resort had a restaurant, pool, and beach or room massages. The beach is not super swimmable though some people went out. They have kayaks and a SUP to use for free. Though the massages are more expensive than finding a street vendor (as expected), it was in a glass enclosure on the beach and offered a beautiful ambience. Our room also came with a massage table if we wanted one in our room. The staff had us memorized from our first drink order. They also gave out a local cell phone so that way you could reach the hotel or the manager in the event of an emergency which we did experience. My boyfriend and I unfortunately had a small accident on one of their scooters they rented us and had to go to the local hospital. They sent a car to pick us up from the location (and got the scooter towed), accompanied us to the hospital, assisted greatly in translating, paid our medical bill (which we paid later on our hotel bill) and drove us back. I cannot say how their kindness and professionalism helped to calm us and make us feel ok. I would totally recommend this resort.

Fantastic service and Thai food

We had booked 4 rooms here and 3 rooms next door at Viva Vacation, to join a friend's birthday weekend in Samui. Must be same ownership as the rooms are almost identical. Two major differences - food and service. We absolutely won at Siam Residence! Staff were exceptional in looking after your needs, even anticipating them. Need your bill split between 2 rooms? No problem, they had already guessed so and done it just in case! We had to run from the beach area in a sudden thunderstorm without signing for drinks. No problem, can sign later. The team were superb, especially Kookkai. The food is excellent. My compliments to the chef, who I learned has been there for many years. Our group was mainly expats who had lived in Thailand for years so know Thai food. We were all delighted and looked forward to lunch at our villa each day. In contrast, we had one dinner at Viva Vacation. It was a disaster. Possibly the worst attempt at a Thai meal ever tasted with cold rubbery seafood. Service was absent minded, slow and clumsy. Traditional music was too loud and annoying with no breaks (which the guests needed more than the musicians). Friends staying here came to our villa for lunch in the end. Mark, the GM, was very helpful with transport and empowers his team to succeed. The bed is HUGE and very comfortable -two doubles together into a giant king bed. Thanks team for a great experience.

Wonderful boutique resort.

This is a beautiful little resort with only 9 villas. The management and staff are amazing, extremely attentive (but not in your face) and the rooms are simply magnificent. Our villa had 2 bedrooms with the largest beds I have ever seen (and we travel a lot!) 3 showers, 3 toilets and a huge bathroom including massage table. The food and services are extremely good value, often about half of what other resorts charge and the food was delicious, every time. This is perfect for a couple/family getaway for 5-7 days where you just want to 'blob' (in style). The pool is great and the beach is white sand, though this is not the right side of Samui for swimming in the sea. We highly recommedt this resort. The outstanding feature, despite the amazing villas, were the staff who were genuinely friendly and caring. We will be back for sure.

Small, quiet, and personal.

For a small place with only eight cottages, this place gave us an experience one would expect at a much larger hotel. The staff could not do enough for us. The pool was huge and there was never a problem finding a lounge chair there or on the beach. Beach chairs were nice because there are some nice large trees overhead to shield you at the hottest part of the day. The sea was like bath water and my only complaint was that there was no sea life to see there but it seems that that is true throughout Koh Samui. Food at the restaurant was very good, too. We never wanted to eat anywhere else.
