K C Resort is located in a beautiful part of Samui but the hotel itself presents a so-so quality. The room was spartan at best and the shower only spewed only hot and not cold water. Of course we were trying to shower to catch our ferry to Koh Tao when the cold water stopped working. Also, when I booked the hotel it stated complimentary airport pick-up. When I contacted them about the service they stated it wasn't included although I showed them the written. I was charged 400 bhat for the airport pickup. The hotel is somewhat rundown and not worth the price.
I would recommend the villas, very relaxing and the views were incredible. The room could use some cleaning, but one guest after another makes it hard for the hotel to keep up with cleanliness. Our lounge chairs had stains on them and no beach towels were provided, I asked for more towels and got them. Over all we enjoyed our stay at the hotel. I recommend taking the buggy down to the street and eating in the local restaurants, better value. Also the open air trucks can take you any where for 50 Baht. Anything the hotel offered was more costly. The staff in the lobby were helpful. I do not recommend booking tours out of the hotel, more costly. Overall very nice hotel.
This hotel, if you get a Deluxe room with ocean view makes you forget about the horrible service. The front receptionist was extremely disrespectful. Very slow to even acknowledge that you are there even when you're the only person standing there waiting to talk. Was not helpful at all when she did decide to help you and had MAJOR attitude. She didn't even try to be nice. Also, don't prepay for the breakfast! Certainly not 5 star quality. You can tell they tried to save on cost and served very basic food that wasn't even good.
We had to stay at this hotel last minute and they quickly got a room ready for us. The staff was friendly and accommodating, helping with travel plans, etc. The room said sea view, but was somewhat blocked by the lobby building on the first floor, so ask for a room on the higher floors. The pool doesn't have a sufficient amount of towels for guests and could benefit from having a pool server. As it is now, you get up to go to the bar. With all the hotels right on the beach, this place really needs to excel.
We got a great [...] price (around $100) for a room with ocean view that was breathtaking. The basic room is small, but efficiently laid out. You can upgrade to a villa that will give you a larger room and your own personal small swimming pool. Breakfast was included and was okay, not stellar. Service was attentive, but very slow at times. The other food ordered at the bar was good! The gym is sub par. You are not on the beachfront, they shuttle you to the beach, but I didn't really find that to be a nuisance. Overall, we were very satisfied with this hotel, however, they state they are a 5 star hotel, this is NOT the case.
