Hotel is clean, nice swimming pool, a bit far for walking to the center of Chaweng
The hotel is near the beach and is about 10 minutes from shopping and dining area at the main street. The location is not bad but it turns out not a good choice. The previous guests' comments here about this hotel are not trustworthy. We reserved a room in the first building. The room was small and the building was in an area remote from the rest of the resort but close to a construction site. We couldn't feel on holiday at all there. In fact we preferred staying home all together instead. So we decided to upgrade to a deluxe room which was by the swimming pool and we felt much better there. I do not recommend you to stay in the first building for that would ruin your holiday. The staffs were in general nice and polite, but the manager was quick-tempered and didn't smile at all. We arrived at the Christmas Eve and the hotel required us to join a compulsory Christmas Eve buffet. It was the most terrible buffet we had ever had AND it was costly at a price (THB 2000 per person) we could enjoy a much better Christmas dinner at a decent restaurant around the area. It made us feel cheated. Moreover, they showed in black and white a free airport shuttle service which didn't exist after all. They charged us THB 200 per person for hiring a van to take us to the airport the day we departed. It is definitely not an honest and responsible arrangement for its guests!
