Fantastic warm welcome from this family run pension, they go out of their way for their guests. Rooms are basic but had what we needed. Food was tasty and beautifully presented and it was lovely to use the hot bath after a long day’s walking. In the days of corporate hotels with no individuality this is a breath of fresh air.
Otrolig och personlig service, inkl. fyrarättersmiddag (som ingick i kostnaden), skjuts till busshållplatsen inför avfärd. Dessutom rent, med mysiga rum och ett väldigt varmt bemötande av alla.
What I liked about was the owner was friendly and extremely helpful, he drove us back to the Kawaguchi ko station in the rain when he only had to take us to the nearest bus stop. We had lovely dinner/breakfast and 24 hour onsen bath and had private feel in the forest. I would recommend here and would stay again.
It's definitely my top 3 travel accommodation experience in Japan.
(I've visited Japan more than 10 times, and more than 100 nights totally.)
Ayumu San,the hostel owner, is a great man,and you can communicate with him easily.
The foods are GREAT and you can feel they cook with their professional skills and warm heart. It comforted me after whole day full schedule and made me feel like home.
Everything is almost perfect, and I do really thank for Ayumu san and his parents gaving me an unforgettable memory during Mt. Fuji trip.
I strongly recommend this hostel if you want to visit Mt. Fuji and enjoy Japanese Omotenashi"
And I will choose here again definitely when I visit Mt. Fuji next time.
As I was participating in the Mt. Fuji Marathon, the owner of the lodging is very helpful to drop me off near event venue and even provide me the after snacks for my run. I had the most nice and warm experience staying at their lodging.
Very nice pension in a beautiful forest area near Kawaguchiko. Dinner and breakfast were nice, as well as service. Not sure how to access without a car though, I saw a bus stop near by.
