I’ve stayed at the flora several times over the years for it’s proximity to the airport and the extremely comfortable rooms. However this time, I was a little disappointed with the state of the room I was given. You can see the beginnings of the slow degradation. The floor boards are uneven and have gaps. The bedding and pillows looked old and stained. The pillows did not even have covers. The tv did not work. The bathrooms are still super clean but the towels look aged. They did not provide single pack toiletries, and instead had dispensers for soap and shampoo. I was fine with the room as long as it was reasonably clean, had a working shower and most important, was affordable for the few hours that I usually stay before catching my late night flight. Airport shuttle used to be complimentary but now we have to pay for the service. Room service was prompt and convenient. We ordered sandwiches that came with the best french fries I’ve had, crispy and perfectly seasoned. The worst was the mosquito problem in the lobby! I could see the critters swarming around people. In all my previous stays, I don’t think I’ve ever seen that before. The hotel is still convenient considering the cost and the limited time for stay but I’m not sure what will be the state of the rooms for my next visit in a year. I might need to suck it up and stay at the Marriott if it gets worse.
Very nice hotel near airport. Free airport transport was excellent. Food choices was ok and staff extremely helpful.
This was easy for us, as it was a quick over night stay. The hotel offered a nice breakfast in the morning that was inexpensive but good. Overall clean, simple and easy.
