The hotel lounge, bar and restaurant were very good. Very nice surroundings to enjoy their good food in the restaurant or sit for an evening drink in the bar. The staff all spoke good English and were polite and attentive. The standard room was clean and met our needs for the two days we stayed. Parking out front was busy and we couldn’t always get in the hotel car park but found a space on the road out front. Thanks for a relaxing stay. Regards Sal and David Gray
We were heading for Cologne from Switzerland, but stopped short as it was getting late. We found this hotel in the internet, and were glad we did. At reception we were made very welcome, and given a delightfully bubbly drink while we were checking in. Our room, 305, was very comfortable, with a very modern large bathroom. Dinner was served in the large conservatory, and the menu gave plenty of choices and the food was good. Breakfast would be sure to accommodate any appetite. The staff were helpful and friendly. The surroundings, with many vineyards, were attractive, and gave one a feeling of being in the countryside, even though Koblenz is close by.
I came to stay at the hotel after a week in hospital in Koblenz after been taken off a river cruise for emergency surgery. The hotel is so lovely and although you do not get stunning views my view out the back of the vineyard was good. My room was excellent lovely and clean and the bathroom was huge with a fantastic shower. I was here for 2 nights and both evenings ate in the restaurant, the first night I had the Salmon on a bed of leeks with lime sauce which was sublime and presented beautifully, the 2nd night I had the Chanterelles in cream sauce with tagliatelle which again was fantastic. I also tried their homemade sorbets peach and pineapple which were just right for pudding. Breakfast was Self-Service Buffet style and there was plenty of choice from fresh fruit, yogurt, eggs, loads of different types of rolls, cold meats, cheese and preserves. The staff were so lovely especially as I do not speak any German. I sat out on the terrace in the front for nearly the whole day on Friday (10th Aug) as the weather had cooled down just watching the world go by. If I was ever in the area again then i would certainly stay here.
We stayed at the Mosel Hotel Haehn from June 30 to July 4. We absolutely loved it. We arrived just before midnight and the staff at the front were still there waiting for us. They said that if we would have arrived later after closure a note would have been left at the front door on how to access our room which made us feel great. The room was spacious, air conditioned, bed were very comfortable, nice bed linens, large bathroom and overlooking vineyard. The Service was one of the best we have received ever. Front staff were knowledgeable with the area and helped us plan our visits. The food is amazing. I had the salmon with the lime cream sauce twice. The hamburger was very tasty, actually everything was good, I miss their food. We are from Canada, I don't think we will head to Koblenz again as we have other spots we want to visit but if you do make your way down that part of Germany, please book a room at the Mosel Hotel Haehn. We toured the Mosel River and the Rhine River and loved the Mosel the most. Hope this review is helpful.
It was my first visit to Koblenz and our choice to stay at Mosel Hotel was the right one. This hotel is really close to the city center by car, maybe 7 minutes. The room is really well equipped. Great beds and lines, delicious food and breakfast. They offered a welcome drink and it was super delightful. Just one point that is not comfortable, is the smell from the kitchen. The Hotel has a restaurant and as usual, they serve a lot of plates with meat, sausage and so on. The hotel does not have a good exhaust system in the kitchen. The smell stays in the halls. As the day passes the smell gets stronger and stronger. Besides that, the stay was really peaceful and comfortable.
I Stayed for three nights while going on circular cycle tours round Koblenz. Friendly greeting, good storage for bikes. The room was comfortable, quiet and quite large for a single room (302). It had air-conditioning. I ate in the restaurant on all three nights, good choice available and well presented. Not cheap but then not expensive given the level of Hotel. Again good, friendly service. Breakfast was an extensive buffet type with lots of choice and some items cooked to order - main choice I saw people make was bacon and fried eggs. Would happily recommend this hotel
We had a lovely stay at the Mosel hotel Hahn for our wedding anniversary. We opted for one of the hotel’s packages and stayed in the Romantic room on the third floor. It was charming, recently renovated and had a jacuzzi bath. It looks like the entire 3rd floor was just renovated, and the rooms seemed very light and airy. Our package included the buffet breakfast – which had lots of choice – and 4 course dinners. The food was excellent, and they offered both vegetarian and fish options for every meal, as well as meat. The wine (we chose to order by the glass) was also very good quality. We took advantage of the small spa, and our package included a session in a double-whirlpool bath with sparkling wine and pralines, which was the highlight of our stay! The staff were friendly, professional and spoke enough English for everything we needed. We had read that the bus across from the hotel would take us right into Koblenz, which was true, but we decided to drive. The hotel’s receptionist gave us a recommendation for parking, which made visiting the city very easy. We were there in only a few minutes. There is so much to do in the area, that we certainly plan to come back, and are looking forward to another stay at Mosel hotel Hahn.
Hotel was pretty far outside the city but there was an hourly bus that can get you into the city in 20 Minutes (apparently, I never took it). The younger girl that checked us in was really friendly and showed us to our room. The man that checked us out was pretty grumpy. The room was fine except the fridge didn't work so we had to toss most of our food. The parking lot was big but was pretty full when we got there around five. We ate a kebab place down the street that was good food and friendly staff.
Everybody of the staff was friendly and helpfull, the rooms were beautiful and practical, breakfast and dinner were faboulous with really fresh products. We would recommand this hotel to everybody who wants to relax and enjoy Koblenz!
We chose this hotel because it seemed like a good starting point for exploring Mosel (it was) and close enough to downtown Koblenz. Well, it is not far from the center, but it’s on the other side of the river, which got our mental map all mixed up and we managed to almost get lost a couple of times before reaching the city. There are also lots of one-way, small streets in Koblenz, so driving there is not a real pleasure. There is also a bus connection from the hotel, but the bus runs only once an hour. There is free parking, in principle, but when we first arrived, the parking lot was almost filled to capacity; we got the last slot, and it was not easy to get in with our too big car. We stayed for two nights, and it seemed that there was ample parking space only in the mornings, before the next day’s customers had arrived. No complaints about the room, but we did not spend much time there, either. On the second night, exhausted from a full day by Mosel, we had dinner at the hotel restaurant. Sitting outside on a quiet terrace was relaxing. The food was OK; it was chanterelle season, and they sure were enough chanterelles in our pike-perch portions. Couldn’t finish them all. The chanterelle soup as starter was tasty.
