The staff were very friendly, location was great, room was clean, comfortable and very close to the beach. It wasn’t as family friendly as I would expect, it was extremely loud until gone 2am each night, with the hotel seemingly doing nothing to prevent it. The pool was also closed for maintenance, which is just unlucky timing I guess.

The beach area was beautiful it was clean the easy to reach from the hotel , there were other restaurants based along the beach so dining experience was wonderful to be beside the sea which is has not tidal . The area was quiet but this made it more special. The staff were most helpful and assisted in arranging a collection and drop off to the local ferry port. We could pay using card transfer and this assisted as there are many places which do not allow the same service and only want cash . We would very much like to return again in the future .

Villa Cha Cha - March 2025

If on a bike, be very careful on the access roads. Concrete is corroded and very steep hills. Very friendly staff and they will move your bike in and out. The road parking down to the pool is is corroded to soil now, so will carry dirt into the room. We were on the top floor and there were reptiles on the roof keeping us awake. We also saw a big legavaan just out on the access road and it ran off into the bush. There are also sea urchins and sea cucumbers in the sea and lots of them. We wore wet shoes whenever swimming. Food in general is double the price of cheaper places so we ate elsewhere. The room was spacious and nice king size bed and they clean it every day if you put the sign on the door. Very nice in general.

Perfect place for families

Perfect place for families with children. Easy access to pool and ocean. Kayaking in the late afternoon (when the tide was higher) was a highlight for us. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Room was spacious and clean, beds were very comfortable!

Great Location, Needs More Work

Very affordable room with water glimpses. The hotel is in a good location on the beach. We chose this hotel as it had a pool, it was very annoying that the pool was filthy so could not be used for our entire stay. As it is was low tide season, the beach was lovely but was never deep enough to swim in. We eventually worked out how to get past the reef to swim in the deep water and had a great snorkel. Getting to the hotel was difficult, the taxi we used was unable to get to the hotel so we needed to carry our suitcases up a steep dirt track for the last 100 metres. Check in was interesting as we were checked in by people who did not speak any English. The breakfast was the worst we had in Thailand. The fruit, yoghurt, milk and cereal were left on the bench in the heat with flies all over them. Eggs, bacon and waffles were made to order but even these had flies landing on them before the waitress brought them to our table. The coffee machine was not working 2 out of the 3 mornings we were there. The room was clean, a good layout and quite spacious. The water in the shower was never hot enough for me but was fine for my husband. We had many problems connecting to the wifi.

Pros : Right on beach Rooms are clean and spacious Was upgraded from a bungalow ( which was not really a bungalow ) to a third floor with ocean view Good coconut shakes The front desk staff is amazing Cons The breakfast food is ok , the rest of the food is terrible . Do not eat here . Worst pad Thai . There is an excellent place next door called the spicy salad Is a bit isolated , must have a car or scooter to explore The whole place has an air of unfinished to it , a bit under construction / a bit run down I think for the price you could get something else along the beach with much more character for the same price

Really nice hotel.

Villa Cha Cha is a first rate hotel on Salad beach. Rooms are very large by Thailand standards, clean and well maintained. Front desk personal were very friendly and helpful. There is a pool area with nice views of the beach as well as a lounging area at the beach. Included breakfast was very complete with Western and Thai foods and was in a lovely setting right on the beach. This was the best value hotel we encountered in our tour of 3 Thai Islands.
