Sunrise resort is a little dated in general but the rooms have being painted and modernised. Comfortable bed The attached restaurant is good and reasonable priced. The location is perfect right in the beach front.

The hotel was tired and rundown but the staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool was great and the food in both the breakfast area and the restaurant at night were good. Was nice and quiet when we stayed but would be very noisy when it’s full moon party time!

Great location right on the beach. The pool.is everything you need and they give you beach towels eveey day. The rooms are big, decently decorated and furnished with everything you need. Air con worked well especially with the fan. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Breakfast had decent options and great to be included. Very convenient and lovely stay.

The staff went beyond &above their duty to make us feel most welcome. The resort is right on a beautiful beach.Plenty of great restaurants within walking distance.This was our 2nd. Stay & we will stay there again.

The check in was smooth. However, the shower was most disappointed. The water pressure is so low that you can't take a proper shower. You have to use the bidet instead. The rooms need some update n made good whatever fixtures are install. In addition the rooms rate are exorbitantly expensive for one night stay on Full Moon Party. I had to pay RM1,400.00.

STAY AWAY!!! DO NOT PRE-PAY!!!

The images on the website are 10 years old at least. We booked a beachfront bungalow and when we arrived we quickly realized we were bait and switched. The front door lock was not secure, the front window had been replaced with a piece of wood. The AC was running but no cold air was coming out, it was effectively broken. No linens were provided. We did not feel safe at all and left immediately! Much nicer places next door that are actually taken care of for the same price if not cheaper. When confronted about the images on the website not being correct, their response in broken English was "The images are not right but it does not matter" pretty much sums up their attitude towards their property and guests. Hotels.com and the property would not issue a refund, we are now fighting the charge with our CC. DO NOT PRE-PAY!!! I have been to Koh Phangan 4 different times over the last 15 years. It is an amazing island with beautiful Thai people and culture, many other wonderful properties to stay at in Haad Rin and other parts of the island.

If you’re looking for the perfect Full Moon party place, this hotel is perfect! Besides the fact that the hotel is located on the best side of the beach in Haad Rin, the party is at your doorsteps right on the beach with the convenience of private use of toiletries right in your room. I enjoyed being able to change and rinse off all that I needed (FYI it is hot climate!) The staff was very accommodating and friendly. There is a huge morning spread for breakfast, at the corner restaurant, that is excellent for people watching (make sure to try the egg noodle soup with pork and wontons from the ladies at the stand). There is also a Seven Eleven right across from corner restaurant that sells all your necessities water, beer, snacks. I truly recommend this resort even if you are not there for the full moon party. It is not costly and worth the money you pay for.
