Amberton Klaipeda

Hotel is splitted into two parts Old building and New one. Do not choice old one - its cheaper, but rooms are really disaster. Rooms in new boulding quite cozy, comfortable and quite. Good restaurant on the top with great view and helpful personel. Parking lot also can be available. Good place to have a good dinner and stay overnight.

4 star (but more than your average English 4 star hotel!) The only hotel in the city of Klaipeda on the Baltic Sea giving panoramic views of the city and the famous international port serving the whole of Lithuania is simply breathtaking! Our suite on the glass fronted 13th Floor which included a bedroom area, lounge and entertainment area with a bathroom larger than most people’s lounges. Cost less than €400 for our week’s stay which included breakfast! The views from the 13th Floor and above are tremendous with a spectacular restaurant on 20th Floor. The hotel provides for many facilities such as childcare, massage, aromatherapy, underground swimming pool, sports centre, steam rooms – you name it, this hotel provides it! It is situated in the centre of the most famous old city shopping centre of Klaipeda which is littered with fashion boutiques, coffee bars, entertainments, casinos, not to mention antiquities off the side streets, riverboat restaurants and is in close proximity to a ferry boat crossing to the Dolphin Arena – quite literally I don’t understand why they don’t charge more for their facilities!! To all Trip Advisors I can highly recommend this hotel - If you find this review helpful please give a ‘Helpful Vote’.

Stayed here for only one night on business. It looks and feels like an old Soviet era tower block, huge reception area but cold and with little character, check in was fast and lady was very friendly. It’s attached to a lap dancing club and by a casino so a little unsure if some of the rooms aren’t used by the hour...if you get my drift..from the clientele. Old lift then took me to a modern room with loads of space including a separate sitting room. Room itself was ok, no issues. Breakfast was very strange, you followed a red line on the floor, up and down stairs, across courtyards and through doors...very odd. Food was ok, but cold eggs, even those being brought out by staff was a tad poor. Probably wouldn’t return, just a bit too odd for me!

Clean and convenient hotel placed in the city center. Cosy rooms with airconditioning and minibar. Parking lot is behind the hotel. To enter it you have to drive through the barrier gate to the multistory parking but then turn left to the ramp leading to the hotel's parking. It costs 5,- euro per day. Rooms are clean and calm. In the evening you can enjoy the city scenery from the panoramic hotel XII on the 12th store. The kitchen is open till 12 p.m. They serve dishes from the charcoal grill placed directly in the center of restaurant. Breakfast is being served in the restaurant in the tower nearby. You can easily find ut when following the orange line from the reception. Prices for the rooms are very attarctive especially in comparison to Vilnius. When arrived in the evening we have been offered a free upgarde of our rooms. It was a nice surprise.

We spent one night in Amberton hotel in Klaipėda and got room in old building. When we entered the room (number 701) the smell was unbearable and we had to open the window to make it little more better. Room was really dated and not worth even two stars. It was cold like hell in the room as well. During the night we felt like someone is crawling on us but we didn’t spent much attention to that, but when we woke up in the morning, there was nothing to describe that what we saw. The bed was actually full of bed bugs, they was crawling everywhere. There was blood stains all over the sheets cause probably we killed some of them during the night. Bugs was full of blood and it was crazy. We collected like 20 bugs into the wine glass to show the reception staff. They acted surprised and we asked for a manager. There was like several staff members assessing the situation and one staff member said that usually people bring bugs with them and referred to us. How rude is that. Then they accepted to refund us our 50 Euro for the night, manager came to apologize and promised to look into the problem and write us but nothing. My wife has red rash all over her body many days after the night in the hotel and we have to go to the doctor to assess the problem little bit deeper. You never know what kind of bugs are those and was they infected or not. So anyone who tries to visit this hotel, please stay away. I have staid in hotels and hostels all over the world and by far this is the worst experience ever. Rather stay in the tent.

Nice and clean hotel with friendly staff in the middle of town. Close to the ferry going to the Curonian spit. The hotel has several good restaurants, one with a sky bar location. Also there the staff is friendly and professional. On the negative side, the rooms are perhaps on the warm side.

A perfectly good hotel in a nice central location in Klaipeda. Reasonable price and good quality rooms in a quite large hotel. For breakfast, however, you follow an orange line across the floor, up some stairs, across a corridor, down a lift and along a separate foyer to the dining room. (I needed directions on the way back from a helpful office worker who told me he often met people similarly lost). Once in the dining room, however, breakfast is great- lots of variety.

The Amberton hotel is located at the edge of the old city center with rather nice views. We had two rooms in the older building (poor architecture) which is old fashioned furbished. Unfortunately our rooms were not clean (e.g. empty bottles under the bed). Breakfast was OK, but overcrowded room because a lot of groups travelling by bus, are staying at the hotel. The hotel has a rather nice restaurant on top of one of the other towers with good food and lovely views. Staff was correct, but not so happy (because of the overload of work ?)

Convenient locationin city center of Klaipėda, next to river, comfortable rooms, clean bathrooms, good variety of breakfast choices, friendly staff. Stay here one night and am very pleased of it. Recommend.

Old building room on 6th floor. Always used stairs as lifts were never available, too busy. Too warm so had to open windows. Facing back so hoped would be less noisy. Very loud bridge makes noise like fireworks/thunder in night when cars pass over it. Plus nightclub/lap dancing bar opened onto back street where we faced so lots of late night noise of drunks and the smell of cigarettes - yes even on 6th floor. Positives were the view from the bar. Though we received no service nor any inkling that the staff could even see us waiting! Room a decent size. Breakfast was good. Staff at reception were nice. Room was clean. Bathroom clean though nowhere to hang towels which was annoying, how are you supposed to dry them?? Was ok. Not awful not good.
