Located about 20 minutes by car from Kitzbuehel (about 35 euro by taxi) on a road (there is a small village of several houses and a church up about 200 meters and a few houses down the hotel. 3 or 4 restaurants within walking distance. This is a ski-in hotel, there is a ski-rent and a storage in the hotel and you can buy skipasses from the concierge. There is also a ski-school with instructors in the hotel. We did not book an instrutor in advance, but could find one on the spot for the next day upon arrival. Instructor cost us 760 euro for two persons for three days. There is a small slope (about 600 meters long) next to the hotel with a drag lift (free of charge) which takes you up and beginners can use it, you also use it to get to the big montain(s) in the area (for this you need a ski-pass). There is a 25-meter outdoor pool (which is open during the day during winter), there is also a 10-meter warm pool next to it and a spa area with 5 saunas, including one near the pool in the open area outside the hotel. Spa zone is quite nice. Rooms are large, bathroom area is made of glass and if you want privacy, it is covered with curtains. There is a tea pot in the room, no coffee machine. Beds are fine. Wifi is reasonable (it was free for our room). Only one Russian language channel (ORT). Service in the hotel is attentive (they are really trying), but ocasionally unprofessional. Breakfasts are excellent (fresh juices, egg-station, sausages, salmon and other marinated fish, cakes, self-service tea-making facilities). Dinners were fine, although on our first day, food was auwful. But during subsequent days, things seemed to have improved and dinners were fine. Sometimes service was slow, but this depends on who serves your table, and when you ask they bring things quickly. Ocasionally, it is possible to use the hotel's minibus to get to Kitzbuehel and other spots near-by free of charge.

The location of the hotel is great and the overall atmosphere is good but the service is not according to normal Kempinski standard. Especially the service during the X-mas weekend was low in the restaurant and also the check-out time was unacceptable. Big plus for the ski-rent out service and the ski-shool.

One of the best in the area. Classy, with stunning distinctive tirolean style. Hardly you get better accommodation in this location, comparing price and quality. Beautiful decorated lobby, nice restaurants and amazing and huge wellness area with 5 saunas and swimming pool, which is even outside. During winter very romantic place and doesn't matter wether you skying or just relaxing in spa area.

We are a family of 4 (2 small kids) and we stayed there 6 nights. We had a great time there - everything was perfect. The room was nice a big, the breakfast was delicious, the restaurant Steinberg was fantastic. We also used the kids club but there was not much going on there, it was only open for us to stay with the kids. The swimming pools are great but still a little bit chilly for the one outside. The hotel is only 1h30 from Salzburg which is worth a visit - otherwise during the ski season I guess it is the perfect place to enjoy winter sports. Most of the personal is very friendly, very welcoming and always willing to help. Will definitely recommend that place.

This was a realy good experience. Nice and helpful personel, big lobby with a lot of sitting groups. Breakfast was very good as i hoped. The spa was fantastic with a outdoor pool that is nice to swim. It is also very nice with the easy access to the lift with ski in ski out. I realy will try to go here again.

We stay at Kempinski hotel das Tirol for 5 nights this September I'm a disabled person and the hotel gave us a fabulous room that feet all our needs. Also the hotel is just perfect for disabled people and you can go anywhere you want Just to understand when we say that this hotel is an all-star hotel. One day I lost my watch next to one of the swimming pools, this could happened to anyone I told the reception about that, after we arrived back home, the hotel inform us that they found the watch, but from some reason something was broken, Anyhow guess what ? this week I found a brand new watch the same as I had, in my mail box Now I think I describe what Is an all-star hotel Thanks all the wonderful crew Kempinski hotel das Tirol Ilan and Hedva chayot

Went there with our son and it was a great break. The spa facilities are simply amazing. Apart from a small section in the sauna kids can access all areas. There are so many relaxation rooms that it’s impossible to try them all out. Breakfast is incredible. It’s just the dinner really that lets the hotel down ever so slightly as the food is very mediocre (the Asian restaurant in the hotel was closed, apparently it’s better).

The Kempinski "Das Tirol" keeps the promise of a Kempinski Hotel. It's a perfect place to relax and from a stressful working life. You will feel how your powers return. Especially the Spa with its many options contributes to your body and soul recovery.

As expected from Kempinski... excellent hotel on quiet location a few kilometers from Kitzbuehl. Lovely interior design, very nice and spacious rooms designed in modern alpine style, great spa, very friendly staff and excellent breakfast. Highly recommended

Excellent Service. Slightly away from Kaprun and Zell Am See. Expect to be stopped by Police at Night while driving, since city goes to sleep early and local authorities are surprised by tourist driving around. Heavy renovation charges apply, if by mistake something gets dirty by mistake. Things like painting wall can be in house, hotel charges heavy amount on guest.
