Very good. Lovely and scenic. Walking for young and old Easy to travel by train to various areas Various types of choices of food The seating for both breakfast and dinner are quite good. Swimming pool is small but good.
Stayed for a week half board 13th Sept at this lovely hotel. We choose this hotel mainly due to the location of the cable car, as we were here for a walking week. We had a balcony room overlooking the Cable car. Room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. We found all the staff to be very friendly, and the food was excellent! The Chef, was extremely accommodating with my dairy intolerance, and adapted anything on the evening menu so I had an excellent choice which was wonderful. I would recommend this hotel, great location, lovely comfortable room and bed, friendly staff, excellent food, what more could you want?
We have just spent a week at the Kaiserhof - having been looked after the whole time by friendly and efficient staff. From the first welcome to the final morning we couldn't find fault with the way the hotel was run. The staff seem to have a knack of remembering requests from one day to the next. Special mention should go to Andrei in the bar and restaurant and to Daniel in the restaurant, although service generally was first class. The quality of food was exceptional and we would have no problem in recommending the hotel to prospective visitors. Our room was perfect - the view up the mountain was stunning and housekeeping couldn't be faulted.
Stopped there for an overnight stay from Rijeka to Bad Boll. Stayed in many hotels during our trip through Slovenia.Croatia and Austria - this one topped them all. Location - accommodations - bar - restaurant and service all an A1. Definitly comming back. Great job GH
We spent ten days in the Kaiserhof as part of an Inghams package. Although we had paid a hefty supplement for a "comfort room" which claimed to have a seating area there was only one armchair...and the balcony overlooked the street where there was very noisy building work. On the other hand the room was spotlessly clean...good bathroom and tea making facilities and soft drinks. I really enjoyed the pleasantly warm indoor pool. All the staff were unfailingly pleasant...breakfast was very good but the evening meals varied particularly in the vegetarian option. We thought it was rather a strange idea to have to pay for water at Dinner...and service was rather slow at times...for instance one night we were an hour and a quarter for the first two courses. Although the Kaiserhof is extremely well placed for the Hahnakan lift it is up a rather steep hill from the centre of Kitzbuhel .
Food matched a Michelin star, breakfast was unbelievable, excellent choice, so much to choose from beautiful presented. Evening meal was again excellent 5 course,Stayed at your own table the length of stay fresh flowers and white linen. The bedroom was large with view of cable car going past ourwindow, the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom again was very clean with super white towels. The swimming pool was great. All the staff were friendly and helpful
We have just returned from a week's walking holiday in Kitzbuhel staying at the Kaiserhof. Kitzbuhel is an excellent centre for an Alpine walking break and the Kaiserhof is a first class hotel in which to base your visit. Ideally placed near the Hahnenkann lift, local buses and trains or 5 minutes walk to the atmospheric town centre. The accommodation is spacious, the staff universally welcoming and the food a real feast. We would certainly recommend Kitzbuhel for a walking holiday and staying at the impressive Kaiserhof Hotel.
We stayed there end August for 5 nights again. The Kaiserhof is certainly still one of the best hotels in Kitzbuehel. We had a huge room in the 4th.floor which had also a big balcony with sun loungers and a parasol. Breakfast is outstanding and unique through the presence of Attila the chef. The 5 course dinner is good - but has been slightly better last year. Though the hotel is pretty pricey they have decided to charge for tap water which you might have with your dinner (I am paying for that to my waterboard - but I have never been asked to pay for water in a hotel dining room!). We also noticed that a lot of their management and staff, you got used to, had left since our last year's visit. The hotel bar seems to be more or less always empty - maybe the introduction of a 'Happy Hour' might help there and it also would be nice to have Air Conditioning in the bed rooms. We had a nice holiday at the Kaiserhof again, however, we are considering other options for the future.
I stayed at the Kaiserhof in Kitzbühel mid-August 2017. My friend and I had booked two “small” twins for single occupancy. If these were small rooms I just wonder what size the normal ones were! Our rooms were well fitted out, loads of room, and although they were on the street side of the hotel and we had to have the windows open 24/7 there was very little noise from outside. Bathrooms had plenty of space, two showers – one fixed over-bath one and one hose type at the side of the bath. Toiletries were provided. I think the only negative comment I could make regarding the rooms was the lack of English language channels on television. I realise one doesn't go on holiday to catch up with Eastenders etc, but when travelling as a single person it is appreciated if one can watch something other than BBC World News and CNN, which have the same news and features repeated over and over ad nauseam. Meals (we were half board) were excellent, absolutely everything you could think of for breakfast. Eggs, bacon, omelettes etc were cooked to order at one side of the dining room. There was a good choice at dinner time, always plenty of salad items, and if the choices on the menu didn’t suit your palate there were always other options, eg Wiener Schnitzel – well, we WERE in Austria! The staff were also superb, dining room staff were always very helpful and attentive, but unobtrusive. The front of house manager (in Reception most of the time) was very helpful and had a great sense of humour. We had booked a Hiker’s Pass which was a particularly good decision. The hotel is right beside the Hannenkham gondola, wonderful views at the top, and is also not too far a walk from the Hornbahn gondola station, again wonderful views and plenty of walks for the fit – or not so fit! It was also easy to visit Zell am See and Salzburg from Kitzbühel. The centre of Kitzbühel has a varied collection of shops and plenty of bars and cafes serving drinks, patisserie and ice cream. We were very lucky with weather, it was exceptional – my three previous visits to Austria were rain-soaked. This holiday has made me see Austria and in particular the Tyrol in a different light, I hope to visit again and would certainly stay at the Kaiserhof. Thoroughly recommended.
In August 2017 I visited Kitzbuhel, for a 50th Birthday Party and made a reservation at the Kaiserhof ,were I had stayed several times in the past! I was on my own a d got a nice double room . The breakfast was excellent with a huge Collection of everything and you can Order all your favorite eggs. I had two nights of Perfect sleep and when I left I asked for help to bring my luggage into the car. After I had paid I got my car Key and left ! When I arrived in Salzburg at my next hotel I opened my Cars trunk to take the luggage out, but there was nothing! So I called the Kaiserhof and asked what had happened with my pieces. The receptionist asked me for details and toll me he would check what happened and call me back weithin 10 Minutes . After 5 minutes my Telefon ringed and he told me that they already had called a taxi which would immediately deliver all my luggage to Salzburg ! After 90 minutes my luggage arrived I jumped into my tuxedo and was 5 minutes late for my dinner at the Sacher before AIDA with Netrebko ! A Perfect stay and a perfect service, there is allways the possibility of a Problem in a hotel, the question only is How you handle it. Being yesterday in my Office there was a letzter from the manager with nice words to apologize !
