Although I disagree with most previous comments, I recognize that the location is convenient, close to Hahnenkamm Train Station, reception staff at check in and check out was very kind and rooms are cozy in spite of the pine furniture. Notwithstanding these factors, I think that the hotel has some problems. The property has an early check out policy (11 am). Had I known this before, I would have never booked here. As expected, cleaning began relatively early and it was noisy. Someone knocked he door at 11.15. Lack of AC is a problem in summer. Rooms remain too warm. Nights are cool but the area is not totally quiet so opening the windows is not an option. Last but not least, the hotel has a very weird table assignment policy at breakfast room. I did not feel welcome at the restaurant. It took some time to find a suitable table for me. Two different people from the staff tried to "arrange" it in spite of being the place almost 100% empty. I had to switch tables. It was a very unpleasant situation.
This is an excellent hotel with amazing gourmet food, friendly staff and great facilities. It is located in Kitzbuhel near to the Cable car station. A few minutes walk into the town centre. My visit was with Thomson holidays although other UK tour operators also use this hotel (Inghams) Negative points 1. The room was beautifully appointed although not as large as some similar hotels I have visited. We paid extra for a superior room and were a little disappointed this had a shared balcony. 2.The spa facilities although very nice did not include a jacuzzi and treatments there were prohibitively expensive. There are no changing facilities but robes were provided so you change in your room and head down to the basement via the lift. We had to ask for slippers but they were supplied from reception. 3. The afternoon snack offered was very limited (compared to other hotels in this class) a small piece of cake or a bowl of soup perhaps. 4. Thomson's drop there customers off about 80metres from the hotel in the cable car station car park. It is a steep uphill walk from there and those a little unfit might find it a struggle with heavy cases. Positive points 1. Staff were very helpful and came across as genuine and friendly. Zsophia who looked after us at dinner most nights was just lovely, chatty but not intrusive. 2.The restaurant was incredible the 6 course meals every night which were just superb. I will post some pictures of the food. We had our own table which we kept all week. 3. The hotel was spotlessly clean room service was great. The style of the hotel whilst modern retained a lot of Austrian character. 4. The clientele were mostly mature and quiet I didn't see any children at all. This may be because of when we went but it was peaceful and relaxing. I would highly recommend this hotel to those wishing to experience gourmet Austrian food who like to walk in the mountains and have a relaxing luxury holiday. Although fairly expensive I'd say it was excellent value.
Very nice hotel situated at the base of a ski hill. We had the gondolas running right next to our room. We had a wonderful view of the mountains from our patio. The room was nicely appointed, clean and comfortable. A tad pricey but considering the location and history of the area - well worth it! We would return here if the opportunity presented itself.
My husband and I stayed at the Kaiserhof for two nights recently, and we would happily have stayed for twice as long! The hotel was beautifully appointed. Our room was very comfortable and spacious. All of the staff were unfailingly courteous, helpful and always smiling. We stayed on a half-board arrangement: meals were excellent, and the breakfast buffet is amazing! We'll definitely be back, and will happily recommend it to our friends!
Lovely hotel, very easy going, lovely rooms and great food. lovely atmosphere. Beautifully set. Lovely warm pool. Very close to everything, yet very quiet and relaxing. Our children loved the food and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Recommended
This hotel is perfect. Perfect for skiing, perfect distance to the bars and restaurants in local town, just perfect, perfect perfect. The staff are wonderfully friendly and helpful. The rooms are large and very clean. We were welcomed by a little sign on our door and some chocolates, which was a very nice touch. The hotel facilities are great too, including slippers and a rope for the spa, even the non-alcoholic drinks in the mini bar are complimentary and replaced daily. There is an excellent selection for breakfast too. For skiing, the lift is directly next to the hotel, and the hotel has a ski and boot which is secure as only accessible with a room key. We were a group of four, and had three rooms between us. When we checked out my husband and I realised that for a few extra Euros we could have had a room each! We were told that in Austria you are charged per person and not per room!! Meaning (as crazy as it sounds), we could have had an extra room for pretty much the same price. Had we known that, we probably would have booked a room each. When you are travelling with extra luggage, especially when skiing as we had four ski bags and 3 suitcases between us, it's probably a good option to have a 'store' room, or a 'husband got drunk and started to snore' room. A great hotel and I hope to visit again.
We stayed at the hotel at the beginning of April for a short ski trip. The location of the hotel couldn't be better, a mere 2 minutes walk to the nearest gondola station. The hotel also has its own boot room for storing skies/snowboard equipment with radiators for boots. The hotel looks new, probably recently renovated. The traditional decoration is very charming, cozy and pleasing. Photos don't justify how lovely it is. It has all the amenities that you would need for both business and pleasure stay. The food is also wonderful, with many decent choices for breakfast and delicious 5 course dinner at a very reasonable price. My husband also tried some excellent Austrian wine recommended by the restaurant. We had such a wonderful time in Kitzbuhel and Best Western, we will be back!
We spent a beautiful week skiing in Kitzbuhel and Best Western was the best possible option of the hotel we could wish for. The location is absolutely out of the competition, you ski literary to the doors of the hotel, the main lift is also right in front of the doors. The town centre is 5 minutes walk. Breakfast is wonderful - made of fresh organic products with a wide variety. The dinner is also a good option for those who like fine dining with a 5 course sophisticated good quality meal. On a separate note I would like to emphasise on the absolutely brilliant stuff - starting from the reception finishing with the bar and the restaurant. Its not only their hospitality that impressed us, but its also how they deal with conflicting issues wich could occur - we had some minor issues with checking in and dinners (both due to the mistakes from our sides) . Everything was solved on with a super customer friendly approach. We were treated as customers who are genuinely welcomed and valuable for the hotel, we could feel it with no fake flattery from anyones side. Thank you for beautiful cosy holidays, Best Western Premier Kaiserhof! Hope to see you next year!
A wonderful hotel with the best location in Kitzbühel. Staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly, even a late check at the last minute was not a problem! Loved our stay at this hotel and cannot wait to return...
We were staying Zell em see and decided to take the train journey to Kitzbuel. You need to get off at the hahnamkam station the hotel is on then left just after the station. What a a treat fabric napkins and linen tablecloths, cosy alpine setting. We only had cheese toasted sandwiched with a salad the way it was presented with a side salad made us wish we were staying at this hotel it was just our sort of place. The hotel is very tradition Austria but with modern twists and they had thought about the decor and the hotel was well looked after with friendly staff. We were sure we had stayed at this hotel 25 years ago but thought it was called something else we asked out waitress and she confirmed it used to be called the Montana and the hotel was now owned by the same group as the hotel in Vienna called the Kiserhof .
