Stayed here with my husband and two kids during our Lapland visit December 2016 Fantastic hotel and great location. We stayed on a bed and breakfast board basis which was perfect for us as we wanted to wonder into local town and try local cuisine. The breakfast provided has a great choice available. We ate one evening at the hotel and order food from the bar menu. Both food and drinks can be quite expensive so be prepared Hotel is located on a ski slope, you are given access to ski lift which takes you into Levi where you will find shops and restaurants. In the evening the slopes are closed however the hotel provide guests with sledges which you can use down the slops, which is great fun. There was also lots of open land outside the hotel were we were able to play in the snow during the day. There is a local supermarket which isn't too far away were you can buy fresh product snacks and drinks should you want to avoid paying for eating out as this can be quite expensive. Our trip with Thomsons included a taster day session of all the extra activities/ excursions you could book and a day at Santa Village to see Father Christmas we booked the extra activities/ excursions through the Thomsons rep when we arrived after the welcome meeting, the activities can booked up quite fast so doing it prior to traveling could save disappointment. We really enjoyed the snow mobile rides/ reindeer experience and the husky sledge ride. We booked the Ice village hotel trip however I feel this is overpriced for what you actually get out of the day. The price also includes all you snow wear, however we took our own snow boots (can bring myself to wear shoes other people have worn). We took a couple of pairs thermals each and silk gloves to wear under the ski mittens provided, these are a must and keep you hands really warm. On the last night the hotel put on a dinner and firework display. The fire work display was really good however I didn't think the food was very good and not a lot choice and struggled to find my daughters something to eat. The rooms were clean and in excellent condition. The staff at the hotel had excellent customer service and were really helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to other families with small children for their Lapland visit
This is a very spacious hotel and I guess this is to cater to a lot of people during competitions since it is right beside an awesome ski slope. However, this is a very isolated hotel near the Levi Chalets. We visited last November 2017 and the surrounding area was covered with pure white snow. The service was quite good and the staff are very pleasant and helpful. They speak good English too. They offer advice more than what you ask for. The rooms are big and clean. Toilet abd bath were also very well maintained. The food served to us were very good compared to other dishes served to us in Finland.
We have just returned from a week long holiday staying at this lovely hotel! We had a lovely spacious suite and the rooms were cleaned each day, and very clean. Our 3 year old loved this hotel! The location of this hotel is great for ski in/out and a great location getting to zero point via the gondola with is a few minutes ride. The breakfast is very relaxing, which we loved no rushing around so each morning we took our time and enjoyed the view from the restaurant. They have a nice selection of food for breakfast and healthy choices (our son loved the juice machines!). We also had a few lunches and dinners at this hotel as this was so convenient and great food, we didn’t want to go anywhere else! Staff are very friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. This hotel beats all the others in the area (and we have stayed at another). This hotel is a great find x
First impression of the hotel was great, location and views really fantastic. Room we had was spacious, clean and comfortable - nice to have a lounge area rather than unwind on a bed after a days skiing. Tea and coffee a real plus, the only negative was no BBC World News - plenty of other foreign channels but not one English considering a British tour operator uses this hotel. Food, breakfast was plentiful and of good choice, you just helped yourself and ate as much or as little as you wanted. As we were on Half Board evening meal was another matter. There was little choice on the menu and you were restricted as some items were not included. No one wants to eat the same meals all week, they even changed the menu halfway through the week but there was little changed from the previous one. And cold desserts it would have been nice to have had a hot one! As for children their choice was even more limited. However we couldn't fault the service by the staff. A most disappointing experience and wouldn't recommend going half board at this hotel. The other gripe was the shuttle bus does not operate every day, our tour operator had a quiz night in town got the gondola down but on making enquiries at reception before was informed it wasn't running and talking to others hadn't the previous two days [our tour operator wasn't aware the bus wasn't running]. So it cost us 17 euros by taxi to get back - around a 3 mile trip back to the hotel. it was too dangerous to walk up the 766 steps as it had been snowing all day. Overall we had a good holiday with plenty of ski in and ski out, lovely town, excursions are worth doing if you manage any free time from skiing. The hotel almost lived up to expectations great breakfast, good comfy rooms, great location its just a shame about the evening meal and shuttle bus. Looking at going back next year but will choose a hotel in town rather than this one.
The hotel is in great location right on ski slope and overlooking Levi below with beautiful walks in forest nearby. Gondola up and down to village is included which is very convenient. Staff very helpful and friendly. Interior is modern and exceptionally clean. When my husband and I arrived we were given a room upgrade to Junior Suite. Ideally situated with Windows facing ski slope and north for Northern Lights spotting. We saw the lights 2 out of the 3 nights we stayed and due to the thoughtful layout of the room could see them whilst lying in bed and also whilst in the bath due to clever design detail. We visited Levi last year but this year there is twice as much snow and all the trees look like they have been covered with marshmallow- stunning! Thank you Panorama Hotel for making our stay perfect. We will be back.
Ideal location, lovely hotel right on the slope to ski in and out. Great for kids. Food was great. We stayed for a week in a family room. Room was clean and staff were great very friendly. it has lockers for ski etc
Great friendly service. Nice room. Incredible views. I would definitely stay in this hotel again. The only downside is getting to the hotel after the Gondola finished for the night and needing to walk up the stairs. I think there was about 700 icy stairs to go up (there is a shuttle bus but I didn't want to wait around for it)
On the top of a hill over looking Levi with gondola next door into town. Close to Kittlia airport. Clean and functional rooms, but nothing special. Exceptionally quiet , did not hear any noise from other rooms, very efficient house keeping team and friendly staff. We were at the Porsche Ice Driving Experience and catering was great, however my wife went for lunch at the hotel on her own one day and found this to be very average indeed.
Perfect location to be based. Plenty of attractions locally. Hotel restaurant good too. Close to Kittila airport also. Hotel has ski lift of its own , plus apartments to rent for longer holidays. Access toVillage at bottom of hill , which selection of shops and eating options.
This hotel is at the top of a mountain/ski slope. It has a cable car continually running, taking you to the bottom of the slopes, from where you can walk into the town. The hotel is nice and clean, with lovely rooms. The staff are pleasant and attentive. The food was lovely, and there was plenty to choose from. They cater well for children too! Levi is a beautiful town and ideally located for Lapland adventures. Go into the town and book your trips there. They are half the cost of tour operators and twice as long in duration, and you have a private minibus. Far better value! You won't be disappointed with this hotel.
