We stayed here for one night in July. The hotel was nearly empty, but the staff were very friendly and attentive. We got a room on the uppermost floor with a great view and a day ticket to the lift to the village. The room was clean, quiet and cool at night. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was functional and clean. The breakfast buffet was delicious with a good selection of food. This hotel is a good option whether you visit Levi in the winter or summer.
We spent 3 fantastic nights at this hotel. The staff was very helpful and goes out of the way to make our stay here as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. The staff was always on hand to offer tips - where to catch the auroras, best place to walk. The tech guy was super helpful too - he came all the way to my room to lend me a cable for my "limited edition" laptop! Buffet breakfast at the restaurant has fantastic panoramic views. So glad to have selected this hotel as we were initially considering a similar priced hotel in the village. Really glad we selected this hotel as the spacious room and the walks around the hotel was also great.
We stayed only one night at this hotel, but the room was very spacious and we could have stayed for a week there. We had a separate bedroom for adults, a smaller "cabin" för children, a combined kitchen and livingroom area and yes, of course, there was a sauna in the apartment. The room was clean and very well equipped even for a longer stay and if you want to cook your own meals, you´ll find everything you need in the room. We had dinner at the restaurant. The food was good. Breakfast was also very good. There is a gondola travelling from down the village ou to the hotel and you´ll get tickets from the hotel to the gondola.
Stayed here for 2 nights in summer. We had a superior room which differs from a standard room in having a balcony and a bit more space. The view from the room was amazing so having a (mosquito-free!) balcony was a big plus. Free gondola tickets were provided which were pretty much essential - no one wants to hike up the hill after a lunch in Levi centre or pay 4 euros per person one way for a relatively short gondola ride. There were no queues to the gondola and it worked very well as a means of transportation although it ran only from 10 am to 6 pm (no late dinners!). The food at the hotel was a bit disappointing. The breakfast was very basic, your average chained-brand hotel buffet offers more variety and quality. Good tea selection though! The Panorama Restaurant had a nice atmosphere during dinnertime but again, the food just didn't meet the expectations. The fish of the day was not fresh but most likely frozen. This all may be due to us visiting during the low season but it didn't encourage us visiting the hotel again during the high season and higher prices. About Levi itself, since it was summer most restaurants were closed. Most of those that were open didn't serve on Sundays and Mondays. Keep this in mind if you plan to visit a specific restaurant. Many shops were open and had good discounts. I recommend visiting the local wine shop & bar!
Stayed here for 3 nights as part of the Thomas Cook Santa experience. Lovely hotel - clean, comfortable with helpful, friendly staff. Room smashing with brilliant drying cupboard to keep on top of wet snowy clothes - works so fast. Good breakfast range of choices. Free gondola pass to take us down into the town. Santa experience was absolutely brilliant for our granddaughter (and us!). From arrival at Gatwick airport and throughout the flight you are immersed into the experience - you just have to do it! All parts of the time there with husky and reindeer sleigh rides, sledging, Arctic Circle ceremony, glasses of berry juice (yum), snow mobiles, craft activities and of course visiting the big man himself - I BELEIVE!! Wouldn't have missed it for the world!
Kind, experienced and mostly motivated staff, very nice food in stylish panorama restaurant - we ate an enjoyable dinner for two there. And what view from saunaterrace and from the room. Finnish nature, fells, sun that didn't set...lovely white night experience!
Great room, nice foh staff, lovely sauna area and great views. Also there were nice informal meeting areas throughout. Restaurant was poor and breakfast was a real let down for a hotel of this standard. Shame really, as it would have been great otherwise.
Spent 4nights here in December. What a fabulous hotel in a great location. Felt magical being so high up. Rooms were very spacious and the drying cupboard was a great added bonus. Staff were very welcoming and lovely. Restaurant was well laid out and great view too. Food was limited in choice but I liked that and found it extremely nice. Overall a fab stay and would definitely come back. Thanks
My boyfriend and I stayed at Hotel Levi Panorama's Standard Twin Room (with breakfast) at EUR123/night on 14 Nov 2016 (Monday). It was a comfortable stay and we've enjoyed the ski view. The room was clean and big. Service was great! Breakfast spread wasn't too good and could be improve tho. The hotel is located uphill at the top of the ski slope, thus complimentary gondola tickets is provided. Overall, we've enjoyed our stay there.
The location is nice: on the fell above the town, but connected to it via a gondola that stop running at 9 pm. We received a pass to use the gondola during our stay. The hotel has a spacious lobby with several dining options off it, including a bar, a restaurant and a breakfast area. The extensive breakfast included delicious pancakes, but the coffee was disappointing. There was an ice bar in an igloo when we were there in late March. A spacious café in the next building overlooks the town and serves good coffee. Café Panorama Laavu is a glass-walled warming hut with a fire. It is reach by walking though the woods. The Samiland Exhibition is worth a visit. Buy moss to feed friendly reindeer in the outdoor part of the exhibition. The check-in staff was helpful, changing the superior room we had booked for a standard room overlooking the ski slope to increase our chances of seeing the Northern Lights. Unfortunately, we did not receive the lower room rate and we did not manage to see the Northern Lights because of snow and fog. The standard room was large enough to include a sofa. The window could be opened, which was nice. The bathroom was an adequate size, but the glass-enclosed shower overflowed the shower area. The bed was comfortable. The room was clean. The book of art in the room was free to take home. The airport bus drops off and picks up at the hotel, but you must request a pick up
