Frankly, I am a bit of a snob when staying at hotels. 3 to 5 stars minimum. But we were heading to Bremerton, not exactly a mecca for tourism. The Oyster Bay Inn and Suites was located just blocks from our destination and it was located right on the water. I was pleasantly surprised. The staff at the front desk were great. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The furnishings were aged and the bright red fainting sofa looked a bit out of place. The view was beautiful. Breakfast was included and was just OK. My biggest concern was the locks on both the front door and deck slider did not work well. For the price I paid, however, I could still hit the outlet stores on the way home!
This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel and it seems to have gone downhill lately. It's dirty, smells bad and the staff doesn't seem to care. Next time I'll plan on going down the road and stay at the Baymont or Motel 8
Pet friendly room smelled like smoke. I explained my wife is picky because she is highly allergic. Despite the fact we only walked in and out of the room we are being charged one nights stay. Would be fair to give us our money back! Very poor policy!
This was my second trip to this property. The first stay exceeded my expectations, This stay was way less than expected. I stayed in the section that included the lobby/front desk on my first stay. While the building is older it was clean and met expectations. On this trip we were placed in the "annex" building. It appears that this is the building where the "long term" patrons stay. The room smelled of cigarette smoke with the "air freshener cover up". The deck area was nice, except it was hard to enjoy because others were smoking on their decks. The room barely met a low cleanliness standard. It also seems like they were paying a lot of attention to security with parking passes, and many cameras. It felt less secure than my earlier visit. I would not recommend this wing of the hotel.
This is a pleasant simple motel with comfortable rooms and a stunning view of the bay. Breakfast was great with a lot of selection. The staff was very helpful and friendly and was able to recommend a restaurant with vegan options. The receptionist also recommended an evening stroll in the port area, which we enjoyed a lot. The motel is 10 minutes from the ferry, and is a great option for visiting Seattle as the ferry ride to Seattle is free (and a fun experience with amazing views) and the hotel value is much better than what you'll find in Seattle.
This place is basically just a pretty old hotel. The employee at the desk was nice and friendly and helpful, but the room was just so-so. The bed was a little bit hard. The tiny "fitness center" consists of a stepper, a treadmill, and some 5lb weights. It smelled a bit musty in the fitness center. There is no pool at this place either. The breakfast in the morning was okay, there was biscuits and gravy and a few items such as cold cereal, oatmeal packets, and also a pancake making machine. Basically it was just a hotel room, nothing special. I feel like they charge too much for this place. One nice thing is that it had a little balcony which you could step out on, and look out towards the lake which was very close by. Really not worth the money that I paid.
The hotel is nice enough for the price. It has a great view of the lake and is an easy drive straight to the ferry. Free breakfast is average hotel breakfast. The staff is nice and friendly and there's a great pizza place down the road. Great place to stay on the way from olympic to seattle
The room was large and freshly shampooed. We had a small balcony with a beautiful view of the bay, from which we enjoyed the sunset and then the sunrise the next morning. Check-in was a bit uncomfortable, as my husband and I felt overly scrutinized, as if we retirees might be planning to cause damage. Perhaps they have had problems with past guests. Check out was much friendlier, with a different staff member. I would have given 4 stars if not for the check-in process.
The motel is not expensive. Some remodeling is currently done which indeed is needed. The furniture looks used but is functional. Staff is very friendly. It is located 10 driving minutes from the ferry to Seattle.
What a great place. Rooms are super sized. Decour is dated, but rooms were very clean. Staff was very helpful. The breakfastwas impressive. The view is outstanding. Great value. I would totally stay again.
