Hotel is dated and average. Gets extra star for location. Central walking distance to centre of town shops ect. Has good bar and restaurant. Staff friendly and speak English. Good location. Be aware that due to the mine the town is moving a few km so it may all be different next year.
Great hotel in the heart of the city! I can really recommend this hotel for your vacation in Kiruna. They have free parking lot just outside the hotell and tourist information in the building next door to the hotel.
Convenient location. Staff first-rate. Purely. It's cozy. Good food! Beautiful views. Easy to get. Nearby there is everything, and shops and a bus stop, and the trenches, and the post office, and the police station, and a taxi stop, and parking, etc.
Nice location next to the center of town and a supermarket, and across the street from the bus that goes to the airport. The hotel is quite large and offers a nice lobby lounge and bar. One night there was live music, and the lobby was quite lively. The complimentary breakfast buffet was good and extensive. The staff was friendly and very helpful with all our questions.
The hotel is nice and clean but in dire need of a refresh. Everywhere you look, you see a need for TLC. The location is perfect in the heart of the city and the staff is really nice and helpful. The breakfast is good. Don't miss the sauna on the top floor with a great view of the city. The prices are surprisingly high, but that seems to apply to all hotels in the city.
Room not have bath in the bathroom. Carpark is easy to back the hotel.Hope can give the family nice view room when they can travel out . Breakfast is nice and I will like to visit again.very nice travel in this time. Thank you
The location is great; right next to Kiruna's town centre so handy for shops and restaurants (such as there are in this small town). The hotel is somewhat dated, and I think it hasn't been refurbished as this part of town will be demolished to accommodate the expansion of the mine. It's OK for a stopover, though, and the breakfast is fine.
This was a last-minute booking. I chose this hotel over the one I usually stay at when in Kiruna due to it's convenience to the center of town and the bus station. The front desk staff and the waitstaff in the on-site restaurant were extremely helpful and pleasant. The room was very clean and I loved that the windows could be opened. I was on the 5th floor and had a very cool view of the iron mine and Kiruna center. The buffet breakfast was excellent -- lots of options and a separate section devoted to people with various allergies (like a separate toaster for those who keep gluten-free, etc.). This is probably the largest hotel in Kiruna, but it's a bit dated and if I were a picky traveler, I would've probably complained about the fact that the floor under the bathroom door was held down with packing tape. But I am pretty low-maintenance and am happy with a clean and comfortable bed and it was just for one night. At one time, this hotel was probably the shining star of Kiruna -- it has a nightclub on site (that didn't appear to be open while I was there), a steakhouse (Momma's), as well as another restaurant on the second floor that seemed to be popular with the locals. Perhaps during the height of the winter tourist season, this hotel has more personality.
Easy to park att the hotel, the staff were helpful especially the lady att breakfast, Helena! She went around doing here work singing, always happy to help. A jewel! Nice rooms with a view to kill for. We tried the sauna, it was ok. It was a nice trip to be able to see the old Kiruna before they start moving it!
The not so good things: The hotel is dated. The lamp besides the bed did not work and the bottle of shower gel was empty. I had a rather expensive hamburger in "Mommas" which was one of the driest I have ever tasted. The better things: Location was good and the staff really, really nice!
