They were very accommodating
I stayed 3 nights at the Albert Hotel and it was great. Reasonably priced, great location, good breakfast. The staff ( especially Dawn) were very helpful and nice. I would definitely stay again. One tiny thing and not a huge deal, the front facing rooms are over the bar, most nights it wasn't an issue, but on Saturday night there were some enthusiastic lads out for a pint and it was a little bit loud. Other two nights I really didn't notice. It's a pretty good size hotel, so if you're a light sleeper, I'd ask for a room not facing the street Thanks for a great base to explore Orkney from.
I arrived super early in the morning and they let me check in since my room was ready. Breakfast is good and quick. The hotel staff were very nice. My room faced the street and it was a little noisy on Saturday nifht because there's a bar below. It wasn't too bad but other rooms are most likely quieter. Only heard it on the Saturday night, no noise really at all the other two nights. its a great place, with a great location
Overall, nice hotel... Clean and convenient to everything in town. The only issue was some occasional noise from what I presume was the instant hot water system. You can hear the water being pumped through the pipes.
