The vacation home plots are surrounded by their own lawns, the houses are modern and comfortably furnished. For recreation, there is a trim trail and hiking trails nearby.



Nestled between the Knüllwald and Fulda valleys is the Rotkäppchenland in the middle of the North Hessian Mountains. The name reminds of the homeland of the Brothers Grimm and belongs to the German Fairy Tale Route. Numerous well-developed hiking and biking trails invite you to explore culture and nature, such as the railroad bike path Rotkäppchenland, the Schwalm bike path and the Fulda bike path. Characteristic for the Rotkäppchenland is also a large number of museums, which provide excellent insights into the history of the country and numerous special features.



Bad Hersfeld, which is only 15 km away, also belongs to the absolutely recommendable excursions and welcomes its visitors with a great half-timbered old town as well as numerous spa, cultural and leisure facilities. The abbey ruins are considered the largest Romanesque basilica north of the Alps and are today the largest Romanesque church ruins in the world.

Umgebung sehr schön. Unterkunft dafür nicht empfehlenswert.

Leider mussten wir nach Einzug in das Ferienhaus ersteinmal selber putzen. Es war sehr dreckig! Und das für eine ordentliche Entrichtung an Reinigungskosten. Sauereie! Es gab auch einige Mängel im Haus und es ist schon sehr abgewohnt. Das Haus ist auch schwer zugänglich. Gehbehinderte oder Kinderwagen kommen da definitiv nicht hin. Es ist nur über einen sehr sehr steilen, engen und kaputten Weg zu erreichen. Unser Sohn ist sogar gestürzt und ich als schwangere Frau hatte auch zu tun. Dies wurde nicht in der Anzeige erwähnt. Sowie auch nicht erwähnt wurde, dass das Haus an der Hauptstraße liegt und man einen steilen Abhang vor der Terasse zur Straße hat. Es ist also weder gemütlich noch sicher. Besonders mit Kindern. Ich würde dieses Haus nicht weiter empfehlen!
