Upon arrival, Peter greeted us and was a great host throughout our stay. Our room was spacious, clean, and had great views overlooking the harbor. Breakfast was also very good in the morning (try the jam)! My husband and I enjoyed the location of Long Quay House as it was close to nearby restaurants, pubs, and shops. Definitely consider staying here during your stay in Kinsale!
I don't give many 5 star ratings, but this hotel just ticked all the boxes. Great location, huge room, good choice of breakfast and a very welcoming host. I would suggest the addition of a room safe and more shelves in the bathroom, but these are minor matters
I'm not sure how this is ranked as a 4-star hotel but, as a B&B or guesthouse it's certainly very good. This hosts were ever helpful and the breakfast was the best I had in my travels in Ireland. A good selection of cereals and fruit, homemade jam and a first rate Full Irish. It's in a good location next to the harbour, although I think I ended up in one of the few rooms that doesn't face to the front so unfortunately not much of a view - although at least it was quiet! Also, the room wasn't particularly big and felt a little cluttered, but still a very good choice for a couple of nights tho.
Fantastic, week in Kinsale but what made it even more fantastic was the stay at this Bed and Breakfast. The host's Peter and Rasa are so friendly and helpful... Visiting with my sister (the Yorkshire girls) we had such a wonderful time at Long Quay the bedroom so clean and spacious and the breakfast was delicious, cooked to order. Thank you so much for your kindness and great hospitality. Kinsale is a beautiful place with lots of lovely walks and scenery. Audrey and Margaret
The owners were so helpful and so friendly. loved this place and would certainly stay again. some parking across the street, clean rooms, didnt get to stay for breakfast since we had to leave very early, but i am sure it was good.
Peter and Rasa do a great job to make you feel right at home. My family stayed two nights and had three rooms. Each room was very nice and enjoyable. I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone wanting very nice accommodations and even better hospitality from the owners. The owners are the best!!! Very convenient location as well. We plan to return on our next trip to Ireland.
You cannot beat the location of this guesthouse! The staff is very warm and welcoming and it has great breakfast in the mornings. Kinsale is a beautiful town to experience, and staying at the Long Quay House made it all the better. I would definitely recommend!
We stayed two nights on a special anniversary vacation and were upgraded to the JR. Suite. The room is spacious, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. The view of the harbor is very nice we had no issues with noise from the street. The house is located within short walking distance to anything you may need including restaurants, shops, bars, grocery store, ATM, and a post office. Breakfast was a combo of cold items and fruit and then ordering hot items from the menu. It was delicious both mornings and the menu was so varied it has something for everyone. The house and room were fantastic but what really made the trip special was the level of service provided by Peter and his wife. Peter was friendly and helpful with recommendations, and even helped carry our bags without us even asking. It is just a really great place and if we get a chance to come back to Kinsale, we will definitely stay here again.
Very happy with our choice to stay at Long Quay House for a few days, and wish we could have extended our holiday. Kinsale is such a stunning place, and this bed and breakfast type of hotel made it event better. There is no lift, but there is also no problem as the butler assisted with bringing the luggage up and down during check in and checkout, and the fantastic service continued throughout. Suggest visiting Desmond castle while in Kinsale. Thank you for your warm treatment!
Extremely well cared for, perfect location in the center of town, walk to everything. Beautifully decorated, and meticulously maintained, the only thing better than what you see when you enter is the breakfast the next morning. Cooked to order, plus a spread that is unrivaled anywhere. The breakfast is so hearty that you don't need lunch. Home made jam, "boiled eggs and sticks", full Irish etc. etc. Walk to several good restaurants and pubs. The owner and his wife are outstanding people and will help in any way possible. The hotel does have a couple of limited free parking spaces right in front of the hotel, but there is a public lot across the street that is reasonable and all parking is free on Sundays and all night until 10 am the next day.
