We have been staying at this hotel multiple times every ski season for over 7 years. Unfortunately, the quality has declined significantly. This place used to be very nice, with good service and a breakfast offering plenty of variety. As the hotel became more popular over the years, service was reduced instead of improved. Breakfast has been cut back drastically. The limited options are often not restocked, and the person in charge of the breakfast area is usually nowhere to be found. We frequently have to wait for items to be refilled. If you are in a rush to go skiing, breakfast is not reliable. Another disappointment is the Tesla/electric car charging. Although several chargers are available, guests now need a special card to use them. Staff told us the owner uses the card for his own vehicle and does not provide it to guests. We were told to purchase our own card, which is unacceptable for a hotel that advertises EV chargers. By contrast, we accidentally stayed at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Kingston, just a couple of miles away. The difference was shocking. They immediately provided a charging card, breakfast had far more variety, and two staff members were constantly present, keeping everything stocked and assisting guests. It’s hard to believe that two Holiday Inns so close to each other can offer such different experiences. At this point, it may be worth driving an extra 10 minutes for better service and value.

The room and bed are so comfortable. Both Firm and Soft pillows....LABELED! Plenty of places to put clothes and a full sized luggage shelf available. Excellent lighting. Really unique. Two pull down shades and one is a blackout shade that is fabulous. The bathroom has great lighting and plenty of counter space. The breakfast is fine and the area to sit is lovely. The people who work the front are wonderfully friendly. I highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is very easy to find and has plenty of parking. Diane, who was at reception, was really fantastic; accommodating, knowledgeable, friendly and wonderful. The place seems to be pretty new, or very recently remodeled and is literally sparkling clean, which is quite rare to find. The included breakfast is perfectly adequate and again clean, fresh.

If you need to go to bed early, don’t come here without earplugs. Or try staying in an even numbered room on the first floor. The hotel can’t do anything about this, but it’s on a well-traveled road AND close to train tracks, which were very busy the Sunday night I stayed. Train running and blaring at least until 10 PM, by which time, in my third floor room, I had dragged bedding into the sound-proof bathroom (very nice, spacious, up to date). First floor rooms probably get significantly less noise. Muffled noise from other rooms is mildly annoying — thin walls, as other reviews have stated. Check-in was very professional; the clerk was friendly and efficient. The room was neat and clean and very much up to date. Coffee maker, frig and microwave - check. Black-out shade - check. First time I’ve had to use the key card to keep the lights on, but what a good idea — saves energy. For safety, the bathroom light is independent. Note to bridesmaids, the mirror light is super bright. Breakfast was fine and the clerk made a point of checking with all the guests.
