With direct beach views, spacious interiors, and an exceptional private terrace complete with its own bar, Stargazy is the perfect getaway for families or groups of friends seeking a stylish, fun-filled break by the sea.

Directly opposite Stargazy is the sandy beach at Bigbury-on-Sea, one of Devon’s best beaches.

If you are an Agatha Christie fan, you will have heard of, or may recognise, the iconic Burgh Island from one of her novels. You can access the island and Pilchard Inn via the stretch of sand that links them to the mainland. Walk the stretch at shallow waters or use the sea tractor at high tide – it is an experience in itself! Venus Cafe, located in the beach car park, can provide delicious food and drink for your adventures.

Bigbury-on-Sea Beach offers an array of water sports to try including surfing and SUP. Check out Discovery Surf School to book a lesson or rent equipment. Or head across to Bantham Beach to try kite surfing.

Bigbury Golf Club is located just up the road, providing the opportunity to play on one of the most idyllic of coastal courses overlooking stunning ocean views. The well-equipped kitchen is ideal for cooking up feasts after a day in the waves, and the dining area provides the perfect setting for gathering over fresh local produce and good conversation. Each of the four bedrooms is thoughtfully designed to suit families or groups. The master features a super king bed and en-suite, another room offers a second super king, while a twin room and cosy bunk room (ideal for children) ensure everyone has their own space to relax.

Stargazy is a single-story beach house, accessed by way of a set of steps to the side of the building. This house is not suitable for anyone who struggles with steps, pre-school children must be supervised at all times.
