A charming, pet friendly cottage, in the beautiful coastal village of Heacham.

Built in 1876 and full of original period features, Moongazer is a pretty, two bedroom Carstone cottage, situated in the enchanting Norfolk village of Heacham. This beautifully presented cottage is full of character, with exposed beams, stone walls and original floorboards. It is ideal for families, friends, or couples, who are wishing for a relaxing coastal break. It is within walking distance of the beach as well as a wide variety of the village amenities (shops, pubs, restaurants). The famous Norfolk Lavender Farm is also within walking distance, along with so many other local attractions. Enjoy the miles of sandy beaches and for bird watchers, visit the R.S.P.B coastal nature reserves at Snettisham and Titchwell. The Victorian seaside town of Hunstanton is just 2 miles away and Sandringham House and Gardens only 5 miles. Conveniently, the village is on the coastal bus route too. There are so many wonderful places to explore!

Inside the cottage, is a cosy living room with a wood burning stove, a spacious kitchen with dining area, a utility area with washing machine and a downstairs bathroom, with a full size bath and rainfall shower. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms, as well as a WC. One bedroom has a double bed and a quaint window seat- to watch the world go by. The second bedroom includes twin full size single beds, suitable for both adults and children, with a skylight- just perfect for moon gazing!

Moongazer cottage is set back off the road with an enclosed gravelled area to the front of the house. On street parking is available opposite the cottage. The rear garden is fully enclosed and is the ideal spot for relaxing, after a day of exploring.

Really nice cottage in the centre of Heacham. We took our pup for her first holiday so we were specifically looking for a dog friendly property. The cottage excels in this area with secure gardens, hard floors throughout, stairgates, throws on furniture, treats, bowls & towels! Our dog was clearly not a second thought!

Heacham visit

Great cottage, well appointed and clean throughout along with patio chairs /table seating in the garden that was ideal for breakfast as well as a glass of evening vino.Wi-Fi was good too and the host left some goodies for check-in which is always appreciated. May well re-visit agin next year

The cottage is in a quiet area but is close to beaches as well as shops and eateries. It is extremely comfortable & well cared for and very clean throughout. The kitchen is well stocked. Our dog was well catered for, with treats on arrival & dog throws on the settees and both the front and back gardens are enclosed and secure. The back garden is a sun trap and a lovely place to sit in.

The loveliest cottage!

So cute and cosy, had everything we needed to cook a Christmas dinner. The owners had decorated for us and left goodies under the tree and in the kitchen, we felt very welcome and spoilt. Even the dog was so well provided for! Thank you so much.

Amazing little cottage. Very well equipped, spotlessly clean, comfy and a great location for exploring the Norfolk coast. Parking was the only minor downside as had to park jn 3 different spots during our stay but dont let that put you off, still well worth it. Word of warning to tall people - I'm 6ft 1" mind your head on the low doorframes, lol. Thanks to Anna and John for being splenid hosts. Alan, Paula and Max the dog.

Stunning cottage

We had a fabulous stay at Moongazer and will definitely be back. The location is ideal - you can walk to the beach and the bus service is excellent. Have just got home from a 3 night stay with my sister and dog. The cottage has everything, there was nothing missing and extra treats left for both humans and dogs. Spotlessly clean! The beds were so comfy and would love to know which washing powder is used as they smelt gorgeous! Logs provided to start you off and there’s a log shop a few mins down the road so you can easily purchase more. Two pubs within walking distance and it’s a 20 min walk to either north or south beach. Even though the cottage is in a village the location is very peaceful and we found the whole time we spent there very relaxing. There’s a smart tv, dvds, books for guests to use. It really did have everything and particularly dog friendly! We would definitely book again! Thank you to the hosts too who were very welcoming

We’ve been visiting Heacham for the past few years. But this year we discovered this beautiful cottage. It’s extremely cozy, welcoming and full of original features.
