The room was absolutely disgusting, but there were unfortunately no openings in any of the nearby hotels. There were dried, chewed chicken bones scattered about the room (on top of the television, in the bathroom, on top of the fire sprinklers), the floor was littered with debris, and the amount of dust and dirt on virtually everything in the room made us wonder how often the rooms were actually cleaned. Will never stay there again.
I liked everything. I was hoping for a clean, quiet room with a decent breakfast and workout room, and everything was better than expected. The staff was especially friendly and accommodating.
Nice hotel except the walls are too thin. When you can hear the person in an adjacent room snoring that’s a problem

Found a large dead spider on bathroom floor and 2 long hairs on the sheets. I can manage the spider (it happens), but the hairs on the sheets is unacceptable. Not many other options in this area and I was only there for one night to do a triathlon early the next morning. Management offered to take care of it for me, but after I had taken care of it myself.
I throughly enjoyed my stay at Holiday Inn Express. Clean room. Fresh smelling smoking room. Comfortable bed.
Staff was very friendly and the breakfast was really nice. I would highly recommend this hotel when you are in this area.

This was our second trip to the Holiday Inn Express in Dahlgren. A very nice small hotel with all the amenities, except one: a refrigerator! We were informed that not all rooms have refrigerators; since this was a July 4th trip, we had refrigerated food to store. That being said, the rooms were very large with wonderful pillows and sheets on the beds. The complimentary breakfast was excellent for a hotel of this size. I will plan to stay there again.
I RESERVED A HANDICAP ROOM WITH KING SIZE BED $4 EXTRA. I ARRIVED LATE AND WAS TOLD NO KING SIZE BEDS LEFT ON IST FLOOR AND THERE WAS NO ELEVATOR.SHE OFFERED A ROOM WITH TWO BEDS ON 1ST FLOOR. I WAS NOT HAPPY. AFTER A FEW MINUTES SHE OFFERED ME A JACUZZI ROOM AT NO EXTRA CHARGE THIS HAD A KING SIZE BED. I ACCEPTED AND WAS GLAD THERE WAS NO EXTRA CHARGE AS THE JETS DID NOT WORK IN THE TUB. HOTEL HAS APARENTLY A VERY POOR IF ANY MAINTANCE CREW
Our daughter had a birthday party for her 1yr old golden retreiver, Bela. She lives in Colonial Beach, Va. The hotel's location was perfect. While visiting her we also visited Annapolis and Fredericksburg.

The front desk staff was accomodating. The room was fine.
My wife and I, checked at around 4:30p.m and we were in desperate need of checking out late option. We asked the staff, if they could set us up for late check-out ....the manager on duty- [...] was very happy to do it, no hesitation whatsoever ! and we were able to get more rest and checked out as late as 2:00p.m.next day.I would like to say thanks a lot [...] to this hotel managers on-duties and management in general.
Was very pleased! Hotel staff was friendly and accomodating, room was clean and much bigger than I expected; it had a small office/sitting room separate from where the bed was, that was perfect for working and the wireless internet was as fast as my connection at home! Will definitely be staying there again on future trips to the area!
The room was in perfect or and very clean. The (king deluxe) room contained a jacuzzi. The environment was extremely quiet.
