Girl at front desk didn’t know how to take care of waiting customers and place phone call on hold. Several customers waiting 2 hours for room

The Stagecoach Inn is historic to Salado. However, most of the history has been demolished and rebuilt as it is today. It is located in a perfect area for the places we like to go while in Salado. The beds are VERY comfy, landscaping around the rooms and pool are beautiful and the rooms are very inviting. I would recommend this establishment to anyone.

We love Stagecoach Inn and were thrilled to be able to introduce it to our children and share it with the next generation. We hope many others stop in to enjoy the unique location, and it becomes meaningful to them the way it has for the last three, now four, generations of ours!

Amazing people willing to do anything to make our stay wonderful!

There was only one mirror and it was in the bathroom. The nightstands were permanent fixtures and to far away from the beds and lighting wasn’t very bright overall. There was no comfortable place to sit. The only seating a hard wooden small desk chair. Windows and glass door are located together and curtains must be drawn over all for privacy. You have to leave curtains open to use the door which means you have to leave curtains opened over the door when you leave your room or you can’t Open the door under the curtain. The restaurant was excellent.

The Stagecoach Inn is a charming motel/restaurant in a small Texas town with a creek flowing right beside. The rooms have been updated (lovely shower, etc.) and each room has an outside patio area with plantings that make them private. The staff are exceptional. In particular, we should mention Jerrod (who was at the front desk, welcomed us and took us--by golf cart-- to our room, explained its amenities, answered all our questions, and even brought us an extra reading lamp later in the evening) and Caitlin (who was the bar hostess during happy hour.) We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary there on this visit (where we also began our life journey on our wedding night!) Thank goodness, some things were the same--a wonderful traditional 4-course dinner in the restaurant, which still featured hushpuppies and the strawberry kiss for dessert! Hope to be back for our 60th, Mae and Don

We are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. Next time we will have to show you our some of our remaining history such as the structure in the Restaurant that still has original flooring and ceiling from the 1800s!
