Travelled to Kiev last weekend with my husband. Booked a Superior Standard room which had everything we needed, great views of the city, a fridge and tv, a large comfy bed and a hot shower. The room was also exceptionally clean. There was no tea and coffee making facilities which did not really bother us at all, as being British we always carry around a small travel kettle on our travels. The hotel is very close to the metro, so travelling into Kiev central is very easy. There are also plenty of places to eat in the area and a few little bars. A two minute walk also takes you to a Nova supermarket. The reception staff were very helpful throughout our stay, even booking us a taxi and price for our return to the airport, there English was also very good. We had a couple of drinks in the little bar in the foyer, again the staff were very friendly. We never made breakfast so can not comment, If we were to visit Kiev again (we had such a lovely time with so much to see and do this is a possibility) we will stay at the Tourist Hotel again
Stayed at Hotel Complex Turist in April 2018. Average hotel but nice and helpful staff. Be careful when you go to the elevators. On the right side is for even floor and on the left for odd floor. The breakfast vas not so good but on a low buget was ok.
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay , basic but clean rooms , and a comfortable bed . Hotel bar was good , very cheap & the bar staff friendly ! Would definitely use it again. Bureau de change lady was a bit moody but must have caught her at a bad moment lol
Look the hotel was not bad, reception staff 60% of then were friendly and one of the bar staff was very helpful. Sveta was brilliant and always had a smile. The cash exchange lady was very angry and miserable and didn’t want to help people and clearly hated her job. The rooms were basic but I only used it to sleep and wash. Warm showers and comfy beds so no complaints. Location next to a metro and restaurants Only four stops from centre Kiev. I prewarn the lobby bar does get filled with some drunken trouble makers and prostitutes and some beggars but just say no and carry on with what your doing.
Writing this review belatedly. Stayed here 5 months ago on 3 night stopover from Georgia-Amsterdam to see Kiev city. Hotel was horrible and I was overcharged for a drink in the lobby while I waited to check in, I know this as I checked the price on the menu later on. It wasn’t a mistake it was a theme of Kiev for me. Staff were also rude and not at all friendly with me. Would like to add cleaning staff were very nice. Only consolation about this hotel was the Irish bar next door.
Cheap, “Soviet Union old school” but tidy hotel. Next to metro station, McDonalds, pizzerias, Irish pub and other places (location is very good). Spent there 3 nights with 7 friends, all of os were quite excited, all rooms had really nice windows view.
I'm currently staying in this hotel and it's amazing location next to metro station only 4 station you will be in down town , next to hotel there is many restaurants , hotel is very good room is big and clean , check in process was very fast , receptionest team and Housekeeping was very helpful , great job from team and management
My room was dated and the bathroom was smelling bed. TV is a joke: only local programs available. Lift(s): considering 23 floors, they are ok and give a decent service. Staff: not particularly friendly or helpful. Breakfast: not had it. This time I went away with not a good feeling but the location is super convenient: 10 minutes walking to the exhibition center and few meters from Metro Station. When I will be back, I try again but with upgraded room.
Nice high rise hotel with great views. Prices are reasonable, I stayed for 2 weeks waiting on a new passport. Away from the center of the city, but right next to a metro station, so you can get anywhere with no problem.
The tourist hotel offers basic accomodation in a huge complex at a very good price. Rooms are equipped with a fridge and a private (quite small) bathroom and you have good views over the city as it is a very tall building. Hairdryer and bathrobe can be ordered to the room. Breakfast is buffet style; rather Ukrainian style but offers quite a few choices and there is very good cappuccino available. Service is friendly enough though English is only spoken by the reception staff. Looking at the prices I find this hotel excellent value. The next metro stop is literally next to the hotel and the lines takes you within 4 stops to Maidan square.
