I had previously stayed at this hotel a number of years ago and it was quite pleasant although there was work going on at that time to create additional rooms. We thought that it would be worthwhile to revisit to see how it had improved but it really hadn't. Our room was dated, furniture had tears and rips in it, the wallpaper was peeling from the walls and generally it felt and looked dirty. We were only staying one night so it was not a massive issue as we only intended to sleep there, but at the cost it really is in desperate need of renovation. The terrace was used for a wedding at the time, which was ridiculously loud until around 11pm and didn't help when we had a small child who we needed to get to sleep. I've had mixed experiences with this group of hotels and unfortunately this was one negative experience too far.
Been here 2 times, rooms look like like the photos, a lot of staff at your service. Rooms smell is old Good customer service too Central location, a bit hidden entrance if you ask me. Bad breakfast buffette
My name is Valentina Duchak. I had a horrible experience at this hotel. I was bitten by mosquitoes all night long. The bed was positioned in a very uncomfortable way where my feet were higher than the rest of me. The wifi was also an issue, especially when the time to call a car service to get to the train, because they couldn't reach the car service. Aside from that I was hospitalized for a portion of the time that I planned to stay at the hotel. When i provided verification that I was indeed hospitalized, my money was still not refunded for the day that I was not at the hotel.
Good hotel suite 406 top good location any more advice just ask five minutes walk to Arena city nightlife many bars clubs and restaurants 3min walk to Gulliver shopping centre and the supermarket lots of choices The country is very cheap Exchange rate I would advise you to change your money over there not in the UK £1 u get 3.52 ukraine £100 I got £3352 that's a lots of money for Ukrainian can eat in the posh restaurant top food two people cost you about £35 to £ 38 pound Forget the negativity the country still a virgin you are in their country don't expect everyone to speak English keeping open-minded and learn few word in Russian definitely go along way Any questions just ask
Extremely in the center of the city near the stadium and very interesting very quite place it is very hard to understand that you are in the centre of the city but the carpets were extremely dirty, walls, curtains, bathroom all of place were not hygienically, wifi was also very bad, it was hard to speak from whatsapp or messenger, daily room cleaning was only meant that to clean mirror in bathroom and throwing garbages with giving some small soaps and shampoos with a small water. I almost stayed nearly one week but they didn't change any sheets or pillows directly it was easy to understand that from the carpets or other places which were very dirty. Also in tv only 15 - 16 channels were working only in Ukranian language. If there were no cleaning problems with wifi and tv this hotel surely must get 9 or 10 points but because of them they deserved maximum 3 or 4 points, that's all! Also the staff generally very helpfull and very polite I also want to notice that...
The hotel is between other hotels on litte hill not far from city centre and main shopping mall. For business trip or some short holiday stay is quite enough. It was my first time in Kiev and for me was hotel room enough even was not that big but practicly only for sleeping is good enough.
The hotel stays behind the big Rus Hotel. It is a comfortable hotel, with good wi-fi, walking distance to shops, good restaurants and the metro (between 2 metro stations). The room was clean, good bathroom with a bathtub, with the amenities on needs during a vacation. The possibility to make tea or coffee is not possible, at least in the room I was. The breakfast is ok, with eggs, sausages, three different kinds of bread, jam (3kinds), yoghurt, coffee, tea, ham, salami, cheese and different types of juice. The personel doesn't smile that much but very helpful. On the check out there was a bill of sandwiches and soda, which my partner and I didn't order and I complained. After checking with the kitchen I didn't need to pay it (I wouldn't anyway). There is a luggage room to let the bags if the trip is only in the evening, which was my case.
Poor customer service. I am working in the food industry and sometimes bring the fresh products that need to be kept in the fridge. There was no fridge in my room. I went to ask the girl at reception to store my small thermo bag in their fridge and SHE HAS REFUSED!!! I travel all over the world and this is the first hotel where I got NO.
The interior of hotel and rooms look great but I was kind of dissapointed with service. Girl at reception was not very friendly and when I wanted to order beer to my room, nobody answered my phone call. Then I was told, I can not order beer at that time. Overall I have to say, the hotel is in good location and I was satisfied with my stay.
Stayed two nights in a superior room. This room had some blu/green/lime decor with fleur de lis wallpaper, it looked pretty good but a bit tired. Some stains in the carpet and some genereal wear and tear. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad, just not great. Bed was big and comfortable, storage was good but bathroom small. There was a bathtub but the bathroom is really too small for it, you can hardly move in there. When it's time for refurbishment I would recommend that they remove the bathtub and install a shower. The breakfast was decent, but was missing bacon. But again, it was ok. You have boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, sausages, some hot cheese, some cakes, vegetables, rice, chicken, bread of course. So selection was okey but missing the very important bacon. Had to wait 5-10 min for coffe both mornings, but was unlucky and the pot was just finished both times. Location is a okey too, it's maybe 20 min walk to Kreschatyk. There is a mall with bowling etc like 5 min walking from the hotel, and at the same place there is a metro stop. Value for money is good. If you are looking for a decent hotel in a good location for a great price I would recommend it. Value for money bumps my total rating up to a 4 instead of a 3.
