The hotel is between other hotels on litte hill not far from city centre and main shopping mall. For business trip or some short holiday stay is quite enough. It was my first time in Kiev and for me was hotel room enough even was not that big but practicly only for sleeping is good enough.
The hotel stays behind the big Rus Hotel. It is a comfortable hotel, with good wi-fi, walking distance to shops, good restaurants and the metro (between 2 metro stations). The room was clean, good bathroom with a bathtub, with the amenities on needs during a vacation. The possibility to make tea or coffee is not possible, at least in the room I was. The breakfast is ok, with eggs, sausages, three different kinds of bread, jam (3kinds), yoghurt, coffee, tea, ham, salami, cheese and different types of juice. The personel doesn't smile that much but very helpful. On the check out there was a bill of sandwiches and soda, which my partner and I didn't order and I complained. After checking with the kitchen I didn't need to pay it (I wouldn't anyway). There is a luggage room to let the bags if the trip is only in the evening, which was my case.
Poor customer service. I am working in the food industry and sometimes bring the fresh products that need to be kept in the fridge. There was no fridge in my room. I went to ask the girl at reception to store my small thermo bag in their fridge and SHE HAS REFUSED!!! I travel all over the world and this is the first hotel where I got NO.
The interior of hotel and rooms look great but I was kind of dissapointed with service. Girl at reception was not very friendly and when I wanted to order beer to my room, nobody answered my phone call. Then I was told, I can not order beer at that time. Overall I have to say, the hotel is in good location and I was satisfied with my stay.
Stayed two nights in a superior room. This room had some blu/green/lime decor with fleur de lis wallpaper, it looked pretty good but a bit tired. Some stains in the carpet and some genereal wear and tear. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad, just not great. Bed was big and comfortable, storage was good but bathroom small. There was a bathtub but the bathroom is really too small for it, you can hardly move in there. When it's time for refurbishment I would recommend that they remove the bathtub and install a shower. The breakfast was decent, but was missing bacon. But again, it was ok. You have boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, sausages, some hot cheese, some cakes, vegetables, rice, chicken, bread of course. So selection was okey but missing the very important bacon. Had to wait 5-10 min for coffe both mornings, but was unlucky and the pot was just finished both times. Location is a okey too, it's maybe 20 min walk to Kreschatyk. There is a mall with bowling etc like 5 min walking from the hotel, and at the same place there is a metro stop. Value for money is good. If you are looking for a decent hotel in a good location for a great price I would recommend it. Value for money bumps my total rating up to a 4 instead of a 3.
I had very good time in Kiev , Royal Olympic Hotel is very nice place to stay , has everything you need, location is very central, close by the city center , easy access to everything , cafes, bars, and clubs. It is only 5-7 minute walk away from the Arena City. The hotel staff is amazing, polite and friendly. Room was small, very warm, was very clean and had a Minibar with good prices, very good bathroom ,free wifi with good speed.
My husband and I spend an amazing NY holiday in Kiev , Royal Olympic Hotel was one of the reasons for that. Very nice place to stay , cozy , close by the city center , easy access to everything, polite and super friendly staff. We were definitely happy with our choice! Thank you!
This is not a 5 star hotel, so far from it. Start with me booking transport from airport to hotel, to many emails back and fort, when driver pick me up at airport he was not very polite man, and he drive like a maniac, some times i think i was going to die before geting to hotel. I get to hotel at nigth, just whant to get my room take a shower and sleep, but as soon as i get my key and go to my room i can not get in to my room, i go down and sas door will not open, she give me new key, i go back up, still can not get in to my room, down i go agan, and this time she comes with me, and she can not open door, the she find out that this room the door key does not work, she has to juse a universel key for open door, so she let me inn, and goes, and i do not have any key for my room. Im so tierd afther long travel for about 17 houers with out sleep, so i just whant to take a shower and go to sleep, but the shower is so dirty that a pig would not even take a bath ther, and ther wather coming out is not going srait down, ohhhhhh no it goes side ways so i get all wet before even thinking of going in to the shower. Know im not in good mood, i take my bag and goes down and tell this nice young lady that this room is not good for me, she find me new room, with a key that works yeah, but her also shower not clean, so i just go to sleep as i have early morning. At check out ther is a new lady at the desk, she does not say any thing to me, just take my key and start talking russian to a man sitting next to her. i try to taalk to her but she does not respond, so i just take my bag and get out of this stupit hotel. Never going back her, service her they dont have, and they need to clean ther rooms.
A nice hotel situated a short walk from Dynamo's Kiev football stadium and even nearer to the Gulliver Tower Complex. My room was quite nice with a small bathroom with instant hot water. My double bed was very comfortable and there was also plenty of cupboard space.I found all of the staff to be friendly and approachable, and all the ladies on reception were very, very helpful. All in all, a nice place to stay, close to many shops, restaurants and the metro. What is a shame, is that the hotel has a lovely terrace bar with a fantastic view of the city, but it never seemed to get used.
We visited the hotel for the first time.we were not so impressed.the staff are not professional at all and the bath rooms need to be fixed up.we travell to much but wont be staying there on our next visit.
