Lovely hotel and very friendly and helpful staff. Two in house restaurants (one with bar type snacks and burgers and drinks-and the other an Italian restaurant offering high quality food). I opted for a bar snack and had the Texas burger (medium cooked) and I can tell you it’s one of the best burgers I’ve ever had! Finished off with a glass of Ukrainian draught lager. Rooms are spacious (business suite) with flat screen tv and air con and free WiFi. The transport staff who organise taxis for hotel guests are brilliant. They order your cab (even a cab with a card reader if required) and give you a slip with the car registration and how long it will be. They then come and help you out to the taxi when it arrives. Great service. The weather was -6degrees so if you do travel to Kiev at this time of year, make sure you take warm clothing! Overall an excellent hotel with high standards and would definitely stay here again if I next visit.
Stayed one night in Kiev with some colleagues. As a Club Carlson member I was allocated a room on the sixth floor. It was superb with great furnishings and a big comfy bed.I found the air conditioning controls rather difficult to fathom, a set of instructions would have been helpful. We ate in the Mille Miglia restaurant which was good value. The hotel is well situated with lots of shops nearby. There is a small well appointed gym. I would like to highlight the reception staff, managed by Marianna, who were without exception very friendly and helpful. You are all a compliment to the hotel.
I traveled to Kiev, from Birmingham to Germany, then onto Kiev, where I stayed for 3nights before flying onto Zaporozhye Ukraine. WoW!! Certainly as I said! It was Full of Eastern promise. They lived up too their promise, as the room with all it Victorian look, was splendid, clean, relaxing, Very quiet, and the Ukrainians people was very helpful, and warm. The shops were very close, and due too the fact that they all spoke basic English was extremely helpful. I certainty would recommend a visit, but longer than my stay. Your money went far, and it’s best to get the Ukrainian currency when you arrive in one of the l8csl shops, their rates are excellent.
Great Hotel with perfect Service in the heart of Kiev. Great breakfast and phantastic Mille Miglia Restaurant. Perfect for Business and Leisure. Even 2 floors are undergoing a refurbishment, you have a quiet stay and can sleep well.
Just checked in (23:30) it’s about 3 c outside. Walked into a cold room , tried to turn on the heating ......nothing . Called reception & their answer is wait 20 min .... said they will send someone up in 10 ... 15 min later guy arrives explains you need to set temperature & wait 15 more .... 15 min later still no working .... midnight Call reception again & they decide to change my room when I ask them if heating is working in the room I’m moving to (nothing like experience 😅) they say we need to check & will let you know . 15 min later no word from reception, so I call back , maybe they went to bed ... Talk to the night manager - my colleague is looking for a room which is heated , you need to wait ....... I just want to go to sleep .....finally they arrived to take me to a “heated “ room .... guess what ....stone cold ! So I give up ....put on extra layer of clothes & climb into bed . If you want to enjoy this experience as well - by all means use this hotel !!
We had a meeting at Radisson Blu recently. Everything was perfectly prepared, it's nice to hear positive feedbacks from our participants. You have a very well-coordinated team of professionals and this creates a comfortable atmosphere for development and inspiration. Personal Thank You for Mikhail Filippov (sales manager), who carried all our requests in the best professional way.
I was there for a business reception and housekeeping services were very successful.I requested bathrobe and slippers from the housekeeping staff. She didn't speak English. But it was very hard to help.
Nice hotel, great service, a lot of touristic attractions nearby. The service personnel is very friendly, I felt very welcome. If I come back to Kiev, this hotel is my choice number 1. Fantastic breakfast! Nice pubs and restaurants in walking distance. If u want to go a bit far away, use uber service which works perfectly in Kiev. But also public taxi is fine.
Over the New Year's Holiday, we had two good stays here--one on either side of a trip to Vilnius. The location is very convenient: it's a short walk to the Golden Gate area, which is where you'll find the Metro and several restaurants, and St. Sophia's is not too far away, either. The Opera House is about a 15 minute walk from the hotel. We booked the room for three of us through Expedia (two adults and a 12-year-old), but apparently this wasn't communicated to the hotel. They were able to give us an extra bed for the room and charged us for it, but at half the usual rate. This is the second time an Expedia booking has failed to give our total number of guests to a hotel. On the second stay, the staff upgraded us to a larger room (Business Class), which was much better for the extra bed. Both rooms were clean and comfortable, The second room got a bit overheated and we had to open the window (in January) to cool it down. Both rooms were clean and well maintained. In addition to more space, the Business Class room had larger amenities, bathrooms and a pillow menu. I requested a memory foam menu and it arrived in minutes. On New Year's Eve, the staff left bags of gingerbread cookies on our pillows. The breakfast buffet had plenty of choice, including eggs cooked to order and a self-serve coffee machine for espresso drinks. We ate dinner in the bar twice as we didn't want to go out in the cold after being out all day. The fine dining restaurant was closed for the holidays. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout the hotel. We had them book taxis for us for the airport as well as for an excursion, and we found the hotel's cash exchange rate to be decent (exchange office closes at 8 pm). Keep in mind that is is along drive the airport, which is located well outside the city.
It's a Radisson Blu - you generally know what you're going to get - a hotel that's very modern, very clean, well-serviced and pretty slick. Rooms are a good size, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. It was nice and cool inside despite being very warm outside. It's in a good location - around ten minutes' pleasant walk to Khreshchatyk, which as a tourist is great. It could be closer, but this isn't bad. The doorman was a great help - we were using a local Uber-style app to get taxis (as it stops cab drivers adding tourist tax which is VERY common in Kiev) but kept losing signal, so he'd help us out getting another cab and making sure the fare was right. I'd definitely stay here again, although there are much cheaper options in this fantastic city.
