Stayed here for the bringing in of the new year and it was a great place to do so. From the point of arrival Anna, our receptionist, greeted us well and after a glass of champagne took us for a lovely tour of the hotel. One slight problem concerning the bed type was very quickly sorted out and our stay began. The room was lovely and it's small balcony gave view of St Sophia one one side and St Andrews on the other - a great place to stand and watch the fireworks. Food was good and the lobby bar was a pleasant place to relax and people watch. Not too sure what to say about the executive lounge. Food here was also good as was the wine and drinks selection during set times. However, it did seem to lack a bit of atmosphere due to it being empty most of the time we were there. This may have been the time of year as there was a lot going on in the city. Overall this was a very good experience and one I was sad to leave, style, class, friendliness and security with high standards in a very good setting. I do regret that the b-hush bar on the top was closed for private function as going there had been high on my to do list.
When we arrived the staff were very polite took our coats and sat us down, the drinks list was comprehensive, when the drinks came they were very good. This was spoilt by the price which was way too much £10 each . Good experience but won’t return
Good hotel, well located. Great service, amazing room, nice bed and a beautiful bathroom with shower and tub. The breakfast is nice with large choice of food. There are 2 bars, in the lobby and on the top floor. In the lobby bar, you can smoke
Great hotel with FANTASTIC Concierge service. The hotel is a typical 5 star hotel consistent with the Intercon brand. The hotel has a superior health club hidden somewhere in the basement. There is a behind the all elevator that will get you from your room floor down to the health club/spa. Michael is the concierge and HE IS FANTASTIC. Very personable and will assist with any request you have. He truly has a desire to help. I gave him a jump drive an he was able to get me business cards (Printed both sides - and in color!) printed in under 24 hours for a rock bottom price. (Half the price as with Staples back home). He also will store bags for you, arrange to have groceries, dinner or lunch delivered to your room, and get your clothes mended. I never felt like he was seeking to make an extra buck which made the interaction very, very comfortable. Say hello to "Pavel" who stands at the front door. Give him a banana and he will give you a big smile and say "THANK YOU SO MUCH." He is a great guy!
Friendly staff, spacious rooms and very comfortable bed. Location is great, near many attractions and restaurants. I was a bit disappointed with the breakfast service: it took very long time to get someone to bring me coffee and I’ve ordered omelette that never came. But breakfast was good.
Spacious rooms. Gracious hospitality. Staff is amazing and willing to go out of their way. Centrally located - walking distance from everything. I am going to recommend this to everyone who goes to Kiev.
One of the few experiences for me in an Intercontinental Hotel. And I was pleasantly surprised. Sure it is a chain hotel. Usually this stands for uniformity and honestly, some boredom. This hotel, however, is beautfully located. And has a grandeur from itself that feels very luxurious. The room was large, with a very nice bed, spacious shower, great pillows, free minibar (softdrinks only). Good curtains that keep the room dark. Large desk to work on (if you have to). One little irritation: when turning on the TV in the room, the sound was also incessantly in the bathroom. I could not turn it off. The breakfast was a pretty picture: very nicely laid out, very complete and, again, very friendly staff. For a business trip a very pleasant place to stay. But I guess also for a leisure trip it is a fine location to spend a few days.
Nice hotel, exactly a standard of intercontinental hotels around the world. Very convenient location in the city center. Breakfast is very good - big variety. Stuff is friendly. Basically i am not amazed by anything and have nothing to complain.
Stayed 6 nights at the Intercontinental Hotel very recently - it was a pleasure to be a guest at this beautiful hotel, with nice rooms, restaurants and helpful staff ! I did contact the Concierge before travelling and Mr. Egor and Mr Stanislav were most helpful, efficient and booked several ballet and musicals for us, with best seats. The breakfast buffet was very good, one of the best I have experienced at a 5 star hotel, with curteous restaurant staff too! The house-keeping however...I got the turn-down service on my first night but this never happened on the following 5 nights. The bathroom could have been cleaned better as I found hairs on the floor which were glued to my sleepers...
Stayed for business: words of gratitude to Vladimir, who checked me in (on 29 October) – friendly, competent, professional and client-oriented. My room was spacious enough, comfortable and properly equipped for work. Furniture and facilities are decently maintained. Very convenient real King size bed and there was even pillow menu… making my stay and rest excellent. Special thanks to Alla and her colleagues, who kept my room clean and tidy. There is an electric heater to make tea and free water (both still and sparkling). The Restaurant on the second floor offers great choice of food for breakfast. B-Hush Bar offers perfect views – expensive place, but worth visiting! There is a gym, a pool and sauna – these you need after a long working day! Excellent service and food result in pleasant stay.
