Room was great! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Accommodations were good and location is ideal next to metro and funicular. We loved our stay there. We didn't get the free fruit basket however breakfast was delivered to our room every morning was a plus. highly recommend!

it is at a very good place at Podil, close to funicular from where you can go at the centre of the town very easy, on a central road with a lot of coffee places, restaurants, bars and shops, close to the river where you can go for a walk if the weather is good, with big and clean rooms but nothing special and the breakfast is served after ten o clock!!!

We stayed here for a recent visit to Eurovision in Kiev. The hotel arranged two transfers for us as we arrived into two different airports which were successful. We checked in and everything was ready for us. However despite there being three of us and when we booked saying it was free breakfast we were told that we could only have one free breakfast per day. It was 5 euros for more breakfast so we didn't bother and instead ordered one breakfast per day which was delivered to the room at a time we specified and was fine. We had a large room as there was three of us we had two beds but they kindly offered us another bed which was kind of them. Room was very clean, decor a little dated. Reception was very efficient they always knew when we arrived back which room we were staying in to give us our key back. The location was very good - right by the funicular - less than 5 minutes walk and 3 UAH to travel up to St Andrews descent. The metro was next to the funicular and 4 UAH and very easy to use. There was a small supermarket on the same street less than 5 minutes walk in the opposite direction to the funicular and a larger supermarket 'Silpo' around 5 minutes walk away - walk the opposite direction to the funicular to the end of the road turn left and it's on the corner. We arranged a transfer back to KBP airport which was a bit disappointing as it was a van without seatbelts, the driver was constantly on the phone and not the cheapest price but it was on time and got us there! Overall a good stay, great location, attentive staff and good to have a 24 hour reception.

This was my 6th stay at the Impressa, my favourite hotel in Kiev. It's small, immaculately clean, comfortable, has helpful English-speaking staff, and a good variety of room types at different prices. At present the hotel restaurant is closed, so breakfast (pre-selected the evening before) is delivered to the room. The hotel location, in Podil, is excellent for places to eat and shopos, and the nearby funicular to St Michael's of the golden Domes takes you up effortlessly to the historic centre of Kiev for sightseeing and entertainment. Only one downside for some: there is no lift.

A small but nice hotel in a central location of Podol - what can be better. It is almost next to the metro station, so it is easy to reach anything in the city. Inside it is nice and renovated, while there was no shower curtain on one occasion, and it was a bit broken on another. Staff is pleasant, breakfasts are served to the room always - there is no place to eat outside the room. There are 6 types of breakfast to choose from, a minibar in the room and a million of restaurants just outside. Cash exchange is next to the reception, very useful. So far, overall very good experience, while it was not terrific.

Further to the below, I guess at some point they were between restaurants, but now breakfast is served in a pleasant location attached to the hotel. It takes a while, bring a book, but a really nice breakfast. Pleasant English-speaking staff help a lot and can give advice. The hotel is very well located for restaurants, cafes, etc. and is not far from the base of Andriviskyy Descent where you'll also find a small useful supermarket and a wonderful coffee/chocolate shop. Save yourself the ascent by using the nearby funicular and wander through the park at the top before walking down. The room was fine by my standards, I had a great twin with my son. I enjoyed my stay and would visit again in a heartbeat. Recommended.

My wife and I stopped at this hotel for four nights earlier this month . It is very near the Metro and Funicular railway, very central to some good restaurants and bars. The hotel itself is small, clean and very cosy. We requested a top floor room and we got it. The staff are all very friendly . Next door to the hotel is a little restaurant and bar called " Mezza" , this is where you have breakfast, the staff here are also very good. We ate here at the "Mezza" every day, the menu was great, the chicken grill meals were delicious , We would stay here again with no problems.

The hotel is nicely located in Podol district, which is quite pleasant to walk. The metro station is 300 m., so logistically it is perfectly situated. The building is old, and some renovation will be desired. Air-conditioners are very old and sometimes awfully smell while working. The hotel used to have an agreement with the restaurant nearby for breakfast, but during my last stay the agreement was cancelled. So hotel staff were bringing breakfast to the rooms, and that was usually late and poor quality.

Hotel placed in good location near center of Kiev and most famous places. 1 min to walk to Dnepr river. This is the only plus of this place but very friendly staff. Rooms very old. The curtain in the bath is constantly falling, the air conditioning sounded like a tractor. So if you will not spend time in hotel and will use it only for night sleeping you can take it.

We stayed for a week in this hotel. It's location is very central near the subway station. Hotel personel is friendly. The room was nice and clean. Also the bathroom was clean. They had to reset the WiFi router several times a day. NeXT time i go to kiev i Will book this hotel again
