Very reliable and predictable (I stay there about 5 times per year). Excellent concierge service. Very good spa/pool. Walking distance from Opera, Hagia Sophia, Maidan, restaurants. Nice terrace bar on 8th floor.
A group of my British colleagues stayed at this hotel recently, and I've spent quite a lot of time at the hotel working with them. While the hotel is comfortable and well-equipped, its distinctive feature is its horrific security personnel who are consistently bad to guests and visitors, making this hotel a poor choice for any meetings, business or personal. The hotel's security guards are intrusive, rude, obnoxious and sometimes downright aggressive, really the worst in Kyiv. They are always in your way, you can never forget they're around. Anyone entering the lobby is met with aggressive mistrust by default: you'll be stopped and questioned at the door ("Are you staying here? Are you here for a meeting?"), you'll be closely watched and reprimanded if you as much as lean on one of the white leather sofas in their lobby. A couple days ago we watched with terror as their security guards violently manhandled a drunk man who was just walking through the hotel's parking lot. The man presented no danger, but they decided to tie him in a knot with brute force when he approached the hotel, without even trying to talk to him or calling the police. This is so far away from what the atmosphere in a five-star hotel should be. They've got the whole concept of security backwards, which makes this Hyatt Regency an unpleasant place one would like to stay away from.
Amazing property in the heart of the city. Fabulous staff, wonderful food and bar. Hidden gem when it comes to business meetings in Eastern Europe. Many things to see and do nearby. Perfect time to bring your partner for a work vacation.
Hyatt in Kiev is in a very good location, a few steps from the beautiful old town. The hotel has a superb restaurant, a top quality spa - the rooms are relatively big, clean and well equipped - all the staff that I came across spoke fluent English and had a nice and professional attitude..
By far the best hotel in town, with excellent location, both central as far as distances are concerned and calm enough to avoid downtown traffic and permanent demonstrations. Very modern facility, with large and well equipped rooms, excellent service, outstanding spa and delicious and huge breakfast offering, enough for the whole day !
Excellent hotel to spend time during your visit to Kiev. Good location, spacious and very clean rooms. Especially the breakfast is an experience with a rich choice of food & beverages. Very friendly and professional staff.
I always choose Kiev Hyatt Regency if possible when in Kiev. Great staff, nice rooms and great food. Just imagine using the dry cleaning service, and get it delivered within 2 hours, all clean and pressed.
A loving and memorable experience with a feeling of true comfort, cocooning. The Hyatt Regency in Kiev is an island of peace. The staff is really willing to make you happy, pleases your requests. I am looking forward to visit the Hyatt Regency hotel in Kiev again.
This is a new hotel located near the most famous Sophia's cathedral, most major attraction is in walking distance except the cave monastery. There is a very good choice of breakfast, a lot fish and sausages. The room is OK, but not as good if compared with other Hyatt I stayed before. The Hyatt club is closed for winter so don't expect to enjoy the same refreshment and the drinks as you may in other Hyatt hotels, although you can still order some drink and deserts in afternoon teatime at lobby bar. it is not the same experience of the higher lever club.
I stayed here a few times. As with the vast majority of hotels that bear the Hyatt brand name, this is an amazing hotel. Most recently I stayed for a week. Unfortunately I was sick most of the time and confined to my room and ordering room service. However before I got sick I really enjoyed the place. The staff are so kind and helpful. The concierge has excellent recommendations about what restaurants and bars to go to. The location is probably the best in Kiev. Very central and if you’re so inclined just a short walk down to Maidan Nezalezhnosti. The in hotel bar is amazing from what I recall. They have an amazing humidor with a wide selection of cigars. I’m not sure if the law has changed now but you used to be able to light up a cigar in that bar. Such a great place. Love this hotel and love staying here.
