The hotel was really great. The Darnytsia metro station is a five minute walk from the hotel, although we did not know Ukrainian my father and I managed to get to the centre fairly easy. Our room was comfortable, albeit the bathroom was realtively small. Overall it is a great place if one wants to stay for a day or two.
Has it's charm. quiet restaurant. food is hot and the service is polite the hotel is basic but located near the underground station. i visited exhibition and it was 1 station away by the underground from National exhibition Centre
It was my first visit to Kiev and I was quiet satisfied with the accommodation I had chosen. The hotel is very close to metro station, huge, in the modern style. Room is clean and the furniture is new, the view was lovely. Reception ladies were smiling and helpful. Room service from the bar is for extra charge ( I ordered tea and it cost me 30 grivnas for delivery). Breakfast was very good as for 3* hotel.
we stayed here one night, Bratislava Hotel is a big modern building. rooms are nice and clean but the bathrooms are very small than average hotel rooms , we stayed 4 hotels in Ukraine for our trip and I could say this Bratislava is the smallest bathrooms especially the sink is like a miniature, shower is good breakfast is good enough , and the breakfast restaurant area is nice. it 5 minutes walking time to the blue metro line, which you should change to the red line if you are lucky to find reach to the city centre.
as a 3 star hotel is good , rooms was good cleaned bit small but okay . food was good . for me the negative point is in the room no safe box and this needed . the WIFI not fast enough and the English speaking staff even in the reception was hard to communicate . general stay was good maybe will again
It is a big and old hotel .. Not too far from the center of Kiev. There is a possibility to eat and drink for shopping and basic needs. The rooms are not very spacious but they do need it. Cleanliness is good. You eat Kıevsky Chicken in the restaurant.:-I +++A
Not my first time in this hotel, and probably not last either. I go to Kiev often, and after trying a couple of other hotels I came back to this one. Good metro access, quiet neighborhood and very good service. The rooms are neat, the bathroom is modern, and the overall level of comfort is to my liking. You get a budget-level pricing for a hotel which is a decent 4*.
It's been a few years since I have been to this hotel, and what a difference between then and now! No more sign of the old soviet style, run-down rooms and 'services'. Nice clean rooms, new windows and doors, stylish lobby and a decent restaurant with a relatively wide selection (I still don't understand why some people eat main dishes for breakfast, but it's a different country, so who am I to question, right?). Because it's Ukraine, I was pleasantly surprised to find hot running water any time during the day. The water is clean, too. Even tried to drink it, no problems, but it is usually risky if you're not from around. The WiFi was good enough for video calling on Skype or Viber. If you travel by public transport, the metro station is about 100 meters away. A nice shopping Centre and a market is also not far away.
Full 10/10 marks to the English speaking receptionist for going the 'extra mile' in service, to provide me with a short note written in Russian language to present to the Metro ticket counter staff to enable me to purchase an electronic metro card with a 10 sector journey credit at a cost of 51 Hryvnia (39 + 12 for the card). Journey time 25 - 30 minutes from Boryspil airport.. Taxi fare from Boryspil airport was 345 Hryvnia paid to driver when arranged through the airport 'Taxi desk' located in the arrivals area. Just tell them your hotel and they will give an approximate cost within 20 -40 Hryvnia to what you will actually pay. The 'taxi desk' ensures that you avoid the taxi scammers at the airport arrivals hall who will approach you and charge you up to three times the amount for the journey. I disliked Breakfast at the restaurant commences at 07.00 am. There is no quick option of a coffee and croissant (or similar) available in the reception area for guests who need to quickly depart from the hotel prior to 07.00 am to Boryspol airport or Kiev Pas Rail Station. WiFi was not password protected. I liked Good value for money Located just 400 metres from the M1 Metro station - Darnytsia. M1 Metro, direct and just 8 stops, 20 minutes journey time to Vokzalna station for Kiev Pas Main Rail Station. Good Clean room WiFi worked most of the time Some reception staff do speak English
Stayed here for 6 nights while in town on business. Overall its a nice place to stay. Its on the other side of the river, so its not near the expensive hotels in the business district. Most of the staff spoke fairly good English, Breakfast fare was good. Its not like breakfast in the UK or US. Overall I would stay here again.
