Hotel is not in city centre but we needed to be in that area, however if you like to visit the old town there is a metro station nearby. Reception quite friendly staff, elevators a bit slow and old, our room on 6 th floor with 2 balconies was clean, breakfast OK some choices of bread, eggs, sausages, cereals. The and coffee, juices were not fresh and too sweet.
Despite rated as 3 stars I actually was surprised with level of this hotel. Room was big, furniture and decor were in minimalist European style which is fine for me. Bathrobes were included in price. Bathroom was reasonably big with bath and over shower. We didn’t eat at the restaurant but there is even room service available. There is a bar which I think is 24h. There are supermarkets located around and also grill restaurant. You will find currency exchange and Pharmacy on the door step. And there is a night club located at the hotel but you can’t hear it in the room as it sits below ground level. The only downside was air conditioner which we couldn’t set for heating ( in April was still a bit chill outside). Hotel located near metro station and it is direct line to Kyiv centre. It takes only 15 min and cost below €0.20 - this is probably cheapest transport in the world. There is a big Peremohy park located nearby where you may have a stroll or longer walk. This hotel is for everyone who is happy with minimalist style, happy to use public transport or taxi, enjoy value for money rather than posh and over expensive centrally located hotels.
After the puzzling, cosmopolite effect of Kiev's city centre, although its majestic looking, the Bratislava Hotel's location seemed to me quite restful. Our room was also very comfortable. The breakfast salon with its large space was also good looking. The breakfast foods and drinks were wonderful. We also had a late dinner at their adjacent restaurant too. Both the hotel and restaurant personnel were wonderful. Although officially it is listed among the 3-Stars, in reality it deserves at least 4-Star... PS: I think that the elevators from Lobby to rooms require a renovation or a radical maintenance as they make scary noise for the guests who are in...
This hotel is a large and busy hotel. The reception is smart and has all the amenities that you would expect,Bar, 24 hour reception ,free luggage storage. We were fortunate that we were up graded to junior suite. These suites are excellent value.large comfortable lounge area, large bathroom and good sized comfortable bed in separate bedroom. There is also a balcony but very little to look at unless your interests include roofing and Kiev skylines. We did not dine in the hotel as the dining room was being prepared for a wedding. However the lobby is comfortable and interesting to use as a business base for meetings and doing a bit of paperwork. The free locked luggage facility is also useful. There is not a lot around the hotel for tourists but it is only a few minutes walk from the underground metro which can take you anywhere in Kiev for about 20 pence be warned it's busy and chaotic like every other underground. The cost of a standard room was about £45 a night but we were upgraded to a junior suite which made our stay excellent value for money. Definitely worth considering if you are staying on Kiev.
The hotel was chosen through being a participant in the European Dog Show 2017, through the Ukrain Kennel Union. The hotel had accepted to be a host hotel for the show, but consternation was nevertheless expressed upon our arrival with four small dogs, but in the end a suite was offered at a favourable price. Service and conditions otherwise was good, and we feel we can recommend the hotel. Its closeness to the Exposition Center was very convenient.
I stayed at the Bratislava hotel for 14 nights during May 2017 when I visited the Eurovision song contest. The hotel had a shuttle to the venue in the morning but in the afternoon I walked from the venue to the hotel as it is fairly close. The room was spacious and good. There was enough space for clothes and other stuff - also enough drawers to put things in. The breakfast each morning was nice but not outstanding. I miss for example bacon. They had 40 TV channels, but not the most important one for me, the main UKRAINE public TV channel which broadcast the Eurovision song contest. The security was very good and always visable
The hotel was really great. The Darnytsia metro station is a five minute walk from the hotel, although we did not know Ukrainian my father and I managed to get to the centre fairly easy. Our room was comfortable, albeit the bathroom was realtively small. Overall it is a great place if one wants to stay for a day or two.
Has it's charm. quiet restaurant. food is hot and the service is polite the hotel is basic but located near the underground station. i visited exhibition and it was 1 station away by the underground from National exhibition Centre
It was my first visit to Kiev and I was quiet satisfied with the accommodation I had chosen. The hotel is very close to metro station, huge, in the modern style. Room is clean and the furniture is new, the view was lovely. Reception ladies were smiling and helpful. Room service from the bar is for extra charge ( I ordered tea and it cost me 30 grivnas for delivery). Breakfast was very good as for 3* hotel.
we stayed here one night, Bratislava Hotel is a big modern building. rooms are nice and clean but the bathrooms are very small than average hotel rooms , we stayed 4 hotels in Ukraine for our trip and I could say this Bratislava is the smallest bathrooms especially the sink is like a miniature, shower is good breakfast is good enough , and the breakfast restaurant area is nice. it 5 minutes walking time to the blue metro line, which you should change to the red line if you are lucky to find reach to the city centre.
