Was in Kiev for work a week ago and was booked into the hotel by the company. Rooms a re clean and of a good size, staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast which was included in my rate offered a wide variety of dishes leaving very little left to request. A subway station is about 5 minutes walk away which takes you to the main part of town. All in all a very pleasant stay.
This was our first time staying overnight in Kiev. This was one of our best hotel experiences , The hotel is brand new and everything was perfectly ready at my arrival. The rates and quality surprise me a lot - good choice for business travellers! Stuff was very attentive and friendly.
I had to change to the Holliday Inn after I tried to stay in a terrible local Hotel (Podol Plaza, see my review). In the Holiday Inn, I found helpful and able staff, a modern room with all necessary amenities, and lots of understanding and support for a sick guest. Without the Holiday Inn and its great staff, I would not have been able to follow my tight agenda in Kiev while being sick. Thank you, guys! Its once again a confirmation, that if you need to work on a business trip, just choose a save value, i.e. a well known international chain.
Very comfortable hotel with a very good location in city center. On the high floors you can have a nice view on the city. Hotel is clean and fully aligned with Holiday inn expectations in terms of rooms etc. Sleeping quality is good, its quiet in the rooms. Breakfasts are variable and tasty. Gym is not big, but have equipment’s for a quick workout. It was easy to call taxi via reception What I really didn't like is an attitude of the reception staff during check-in and check-out... Lady was a bit arrogant untill discovered that I have membership card... Also I was surprised, that all staff didn't speaks Ukrainian with me, even if I was speaking only Ukrainian, and they were switching only after I’ve noticed it to them… So good hotel for foreigners, but not good for Ukrainians as staff is treating local guests with a lower priority then foreigners.
Very nice and comfortable hotel, with good location, great services. Helpful staff and delicious food. The best thing in thus hotel is bads. Very, very cofortable. Fitness centre very good with nice wiev from the top flor.
Great place to stay and it is what you would expect from a holiday inn hotel. You know what you get....Service is amazing in reception and room service and the prices are kept very reasonable. I have stayed here many times and its just constantly good..
A modern business hotel in a very convenient location. Visited in one of the coldest months but inside hotel it’s pleasant always. Right amount of heating and hot water available always. Rooms are adequately specious and well lit. All modern amenities which is needed for a business hotel. The asset of this hotel is its stuff members. Always smiling, always warm, always courteous and always helpful. They try to go beyond their regular duties to help. Will definitely recommend this hotel. Breakfast menu verity may be only point to improve.
I stayed in this hotel in the middle of November. The hotel is included to the program "IHG" which is a membership program giving their members decent level of privileges. We had a membership and were staying with rewards night. Interestingly, breakfast was not included whcih was inappropriate. Unfortunately, the check in and check out procedure was not so welcoming and can not be estimated as a high class hospitality. First of all, the hotel itself is nice, rooms are modern, lobby is spacious and appealing. Although we were given one of the tiniest rooms it was well equipted. The room was connected room and every time when the other guests of the neighboor room were slamming their door was making me anxious as the middle door was shaking each time. Bathroom amenities are a real shame as there was only 1 plastic bottle of liquid hand soap and just 1bottle as a substitude for shampoo and shower gel which was awkard. Plus, no toothpaste, toothbrush, conditioner and so on. We did not have a bath robe and slippers which were given on request. Positive sides, the linen and towels were being changed daily. Room service is fast and nice. Can not say the same about the reception sraff. The room was not ready when we came as they said the hotel is fully occupied and asked us to wait for 1,5 hour whcih in some points understandable. Despite the fact that they got out passports when we were at the reception desk they postponed the document procedure of the check-in. Overall, will not choose the same hotel for my upcoming visits to Kiew.
We all know how it is ... all of a hotel's top people work Monday - Friday and have the weekends off... especially at places that are primarily "business" hotels. Well, I can tell you that the Holiday Inn Kiev must have one heck of a great staff on weekdays, because I received simply OUTSTANDING service from the Sunday night "front desk manager" this past weekend. I'm sorry to say I don't remember her name, but it was the young lady with the curly dark hair who always has a big smile. In between taking care of all of her regular duties with hotel guests as they came & went, this young lady went way beyond what I could have hoped for to help me plan my route to a part of the city I have never been in before. I don't speak a word of Russian so I can't read any of the street signs. She looked up several things on maps for me; googled businesses & locations online ... then wrote down the directions on a 3 x 5 white card for me in Russian so I would have something to give to my taxi driver the next day. I can't tell you how much I appreciate the extra help I received. If my grandson was a little older, I'd be bringing him back to Kiev to introduce him to this fine young woman. It's just not that often that hotel staff are willing to do that much more than is necessary or to help with things that clearly are not in their job descriptions. This has to be both a product of good training by the hotel, but also obviously a highly motivated young person of great integrity. Thank you so much. Dr Jim from the United States
What to say more - it is excellent hotel. I've been there for a two days conference and I enjoyed my stay very much. The room was spacious, breakfast had wide selection of tasty food, service was very kind and helpful. All conference facilities like room and service was also excellent.
