I found the cottage to be charming.
I found the cottage to be charming. It had all you needed and the large bath was a dream after a days walking, We also thought it would be noisy at night, because it is so central to everywhere, but it was lovely and quiet. I would definately stay there again.

The street is quite narrow so parking on the street whilst unpacking the car was a bit difficult.
The street is quite narrow so parking on the street whilst unpacking the car was a bit difficult.
The parking permit wasn’t explained to us and there was some confusion on arrival ,there is nothing in the folder or on the notice board regarding parking. Excellent location to the town and for the lake ..Well equipped , plenty of hot water , very comfortable bed..

This is a lovely cottage in the heart of Keswick.
This is a lovely cottage in the heart of Keswick. The location and facilities are excellent and we would thoroughly recommend.
You get a parking permit for the local car park which is great. Our only minor negative is the cottage is accessed across a courtyard which is used as parking for 2 other cottages. If other guests have large cars it is a tight squeeze to get to the front door. You certainly couldn’t access with a buggy/pram when both spaces are filled.
But that’s a minor thing for us and we would highly recommend this cottage.

A very nice cottage, thoughtfully renovated ie - topsy turvey.
A very nice cottage, thoughtfully renovated ie - topsy turvey. with some nice touches here and there to make you feel at home. The beds could be more comfortable and (when looking under the cushions), some deep cleaning was required.

Lund cottage was so very homely and comfortable.
Lund cottage was so very homely and comfortable. It is very close to town and many walks direct from the cottage. Of course the dry and sunny weather was a bonus, lots of walking and sight seeing in comfort!
Slight inconvenience was not able to park your car by the cottage, but it came to no harm in the nearby car park. Unloading by the cottage is interesting, as the narrow road by the cottage is a busy through road for town. Bit difficulty in getting suitcases through the 2 parked cars on the terrace directly by the front door. Not sure who has parking rights!!!!
All in all I would recommend this cottage and Keswick is a delightful base.
