The team at this Holiday Inn were very helpful and super friendly. My room was larger than normal, I might have scored an upgrade somehow, which made the stay extra pleasant. I wasn't at the hotel long enough to use the other facilities but what I did use was very good. I'd stay here again.
here for one night, very clean, comfortable room and bed, staff polite and helpful. we could have had breakfast here too, but as the price was £9 50 per person we declined and went into the town centre for breakfast
Looks like a rebranded hotel. Given an upgrade to an exec room on check in. Staff here are the saving grace. The room was a large affair facing the road at the front. Bathroom strange. Toilet wouldn’t flush properly. Little or no water from the sink faucet. Decor is also strange and showing signs of age. Orange concealed lighting, odd lighting controls that take some mastering and the bathroom light switch hidden at the far end of the room. Room cold but there was a plug in heater and pedestal fan in the room. Road noise intrusive but nothing compared to the door banging from fellow guests........
Nice visit for Sunday lunch 2 courses starter and main course Food ok service bit slow and not very professional Will be going back good value for money Restaurant needs a sprouse up Chef on carvey very good and nice Restaurant manager lacked presence But again nice lunch
We Stayed there for night only, the staff we're very professional and friendly. Room on the 2nd floor was very clean and the bed so comfortable. Free wifi and tea/coffee facilities we're supplied, also TV had all the freeview channels. We also noticed there was a lovely wedding on arrival, also chilled in the bar for a bit with drinks at a very good price. The morning breakfast was really nice starting at 7-10am, would easily stay there again without doubt, a very nice night we had.
We attended our friends wedding at the Inn . Staff were all very helpful and friendly. Room clean and tidy great night sleep .we also had breakfast included which was excellent lots of choice and very tasty . Wedding breakfast excellent and staff always there to top up drinks . Big thumbs up to the holiday inn for making the day a big success.
Arrived at 23h30 on a Saturday night with an 70s/80s disco blaring and a bunch of drunk wedding guests spilling out into the lobby including one particularly obnoxious man looking for a taxi. Asked the desk clerk if I could have a room as far away from the noise as possible. He said "Dont worry. It finishes at 1am". Explained I'd had a long journey and didn't really intend spending the next hour and a half listening to BoneyM and Yazz and the Plastic Population. In fairness, he sent his colleague off to check the room I'd already been allocated was quiet. Which it was. Went up to the room and the door key didn't work. Returned to the desk with all my bags. The gentleman accompanied me back up and let me in when the second card didn't work either. The room itself was pleasant. Large double bed, nicely refurbished, clean and bright bathroom. The air con didn't work and the window didn't open, which meant the room was stuffy. But there was a fan. And the usual British hotel fare of kettle, tea bags, milk cartons etc. The wifi was okay but management needs to sort out the pricing for breakfast. It's £20 if you pre-book on the IHG website for up to two people. But if you're a single traveler, you won't be wanting to pay 20 quid for your first meal of the day in a backwater of Kent. Even more bizarrely, it looked like the room service breakfast was only 10 quid per person + £3 delivery, and seemed to offer quite a generous selection. All in all, I'd go back if it wasn't a Saturday disco night. The Holiday Inn Ashford North is more peaceful.
Stayed here for a wedding and I can't express enough at how impeccable the staff were. Having a 3 year old that was suffering from night terrors and a GF that was up with him all night wasn't easy but, having explained this to the staff they allowed us to extend our stay a bit longer so the GF and Kid could get some well needed sleep. Not only that, they also warmed up the breakfast I had gone to get earlier on so they both had something to eat when they awoke. A massive thank you to Tracey and Rukshana, you are a credit to the hotel. I literally cannot thank you enough for all your help and understanding.
This hotel is in need of a refit. The restaurant was very nice and the food was also of a very high standard and very competitively priced. My stay was sadly let down by the room I was allocated, I was in an executive room but the problems with it really let it down. The air conditioning didn't work, the fridge didn't work, the iron was broken, the sink didn't work properly and the shower didn't work properly, over all the room was very tired and in need of some quite significant repairs. I will be giving this hotel a wide berth for a while.
We were able to check in early, rather than 2pm we checked in at 12.30. Swift 5 lines of information required to complete check in, from parking to reaching room, 15 mins all in! First impressions of room, clean/tidy, everything ready for our stay and we would have been happy staying for a few more days. Reception staff, room cleaning staff and catering staff very friendly and willing to drop everything to help/assist you. We didn't use the bar area but breakfast buffet was good, plenty of options and fast acting staff clearing the plates. If I was to offer any feedback to the hotel it would be: 1)The right hand lift by reception may need a service as it's not only very slow but extremely noisy. 2) Bathroom needs to be soundproofed and doors that seal all the way round. I love the design and it looks very fresh, bright and airy but if like me, you like a bit of privacy, anything more than a 24 hour stay could be a potential problem. 3)Flush on the toilet had no suction, very thin paper was not flushing away. Better down in communal toilets. 4)Door to our particular room 202 had movement when closed shut. This meant that the vacuum created in the corridor between other rooms doors opening and closing, shook our door as if someone was knocking on it. (This didn't effect our night's sleep, not that I remember) Overall, we would definitely stay at the Holiday Inn, Sittingbourne again as we had a good experience.
