Could be so much better with a little attention
Annexe to owner's house. We made the best of our stay, travelled around the lakes & enjoyed the hot tub. Property is clean and tidy. However, it seems to have been neglected of late, there are some easy changes which would have made a huge difference to the quality & comfort of our stay:
Key code sent just a few hrs before check in at 4pm (we were already travelling & concerned we wouldn't be able to get in on arrival; a number of light bulbs need replacing (eg only ONE of the 4 cooker hood lights works - large cooker hood is VERY low & impossible not to hit yr head on at some point so lights would help!); some lights don't work at all (eg the pretty bedroom fairy lights you see on the photos); literally NO oven/roasting/baking/serveware, which means you are unable to use the oven. For the microwave, you have to use the crockery provided for eating. No dishes/bowls to make a salad, pasta etc. A few simple Pyrex dishes would have solved this. No coffee making facilities, most properties would at least have a cafetière these days. If you like your morning coffee, make sure to bring one!
No info on surrounding area & we couldn't find anywhere to walk safely from the house, even just to take our dog out to do his thing. Garden missing a gate on the opening next to the owner's entrance so it was impossible to let our dog off the lead in the garden. We couldn't see why the owners would not want guests to be able to relax in this way on hol. Not cheap so we felt not great value.
