Iroquois Suite at Kelley's Island Venture Resort
Welcome to Kelley’s Island Venture Resort!
Located on the largest island in Lake Erie, Kelleys Island is the perfect summer vacation destination. The Venture Resort is the only resort hotel on the island and is located within walking distance to all of the downtown action and island transportation. We offer modern amenities and beautifully appointed suites, each with their own private patio and incredible lake views!
The Iroquois Suite is situated on the second floor of the hotel and has two levels. The first floor contains living and sleeping areas separated by the bathroom. The second or loft level has a spacious bedroom with two queen size beds and a cozy sitting area by the dormer window that overlooks the lake. Each of these units also has access to a common balcony. This unit can sleep up to six adults. The first floor has one queen bed, and the second floor has two queen sized beds side-by-side.
Other things to note
Across the street, the resort offers a three-tiered deck with seating to enjoy the views of Lake Erie, Marblehead Peninsula, and Cedar Point.
The heated outdoor pool and hot tub are scheduled open Memorial Day to Labor Day. Pool hours are daily 8AM to 9PM.
Parking is available free of charge at the hotel. If you are not bringing a vehicle, golf cart rentals are available on the island and at the ferry docks through miscellaneous vendors.
Please check daily schedules for Miller Ferry, Jet Express and/or Kelley's Island Ferry to arrive on the island. Boat schedules are subject to change based on seasonality and weather conditions. The propery is generally needing a great deal of maintenance. The room I stayed in was advertised as 3 queens. They were 3 full sized. The tub backed up a lot when in the shower. The direct tv never worked during my stay. New brighter light bulbs and more lighting in the room would be nice. Also there is no elevator to the 2nd level, be prepared to carry your bags upstairs.

Beautiful property. I am surprised with the low stars on Google. I have worked at Hilton and Marriot properties for years as a GM and DR of sales. Anyways, if you are expecting that type of hospitality at this property you won't get it. I think that's what is charming about this place. The front desk clerk was super nice. The people who work there are focused on their jobs and aren't there to make you feel like you are on vacation, that's what the island is for. I definitely recommend staying here. For our family of five it was fantastic. Rooms are roomy, pool is clean and it's a great location. We can walk right into town, walk to the beach and have dinner right across the street. I definitely recommend staying here.
