The place is lovely and the staff do polite. It is an older building so there are some quirks but we had a wonderful stay. The water was hot, bed comfy and everything to our needs. Breakfast was basic but good. The staff really made it, they clearly love the place and their customers.

No house keeping in my 4 days stay , never vaccum cleaned any day, only 2 people in hotel staff for some 30 old rooms, expensive stay for the money paid . I guess location was my choice since i do not drive while in Australia .

The only criticism I have is that the allocated parking is not considered by other guests. We came back after dinner at 8:30 pm to find our parking place had been taken. This meant we were required to park in the street. If I had known this could happen beforehand I would not have booked this establishmment.

Sadly our room was not the one in the photo. Little let down. Quite old hotel, old furnishings and style, little creaky and drabby. Breakfast of basic cereals and tinned fruit a little disappointing too. Very basic. But overall was convenient for access to the town. For two nights it was okay.

The room itself was clean and freshly renovated. Reflecting the old structure of the building, the twin room was over two levels, so that one bed was in a windowless room next to the bathroom. Conversely, this gave the two of us a bit more privacy. The furniture was serviceable if a little old and there were a range of heaters and coolers dotted around the rooms which made the suite look a bit odd. The building itself is quirky with some nice framed drawings but there are a number of unused large common areas. The main carpet in the common areas could use more regular vacuuming and a steam clean. There were minimal levels of reception staffing and when I wanted to ask about the hotel, I could not get to talk to anyone at the hotel. It was also impossible to book through the hotel website, so I booked through Wotif. The included free continental breakfast was actually a welcome bonus, although it would be better if it were available before 8am. The location is convenient to the main shopping and restaurant area. On balance, the hotel was fine, but there were a few rough edges.

The new owners are very nice, love the details of the place. Only thing was our room was a bit cold, 30 degrees with all blankets I was still cold. Informed the reception/owner, they said will check it. But again, breakfast was very nice, nice and simple, beds are comfortable, the area is b Quiet, RSL across the road for great food. It’s a little gem, we have stayed in blue mountains many times a year to visit family, I’m glad we found this little cozy motel. And will definitely come back again.

Lovely staff had enough room for my family all 8 of us the house was lovely comfy and had everything needed the beds were comfy and all rooms had heating coming through the floor vents. Breakfast provided toasts cereals fruit yougurt kids ate loads only thing i would say is a few more tvs if anything only 1 tv ( only because of kids)

Very warm welcome from the hotel staff, however I guess it is cold Hotel Blue as I turned a little blue from the cold. It was freezing cold in the public areas with not heating available and we were told that there was a problem with the chimney so the log fires could not be used. As the main reason we choice the Hotel was because of the welcoming log fire, we will not be staying there again during winter.

Nice historical building. Common areas, like the living area and the restaurant look very nice and feel cozy. Bedrooms are large but are in need of an uplift, or at least a paint job. Beds are comfy, TV works well, bathroom had a good size, with good water temp and pressure. Aircon did work well as too. Location is perfect, halfway between Echo point and the Katoomba city centre, so you can walk to both areas. Lots of parking available at (and around) the property. Good breakfast - various types of bread, coffee, cereals, fruits, etc. Staff were super friendly. Wi-fi did work, but would struggle a bit when there were many devices connected. Overall I would stay there again, good price for what it offers.
