With it's grand location and setting, Soaltee naturally rises head and shoulders above all other hotels of all categories. This is a premier hotel, and the management has made sure to keep up the reputation of the hotel. The first impression itself brings a sense of grandeur, when you see the beautifully kept lawns and landscaped grounds. The wide lobby and seating arrangement includes a quiet bar. At the far end, on the same level, you have the 24 hour coffee shop which serves delicious meals and drinks. The service is very good overall. We enjoyed a live musical evening in the Indian restaurant, called Kakori. Along with beautiful, quaint interiors, which brings Nepali architecture to the forefront, the kababs and biriyani were out of the world. Room sizes are spacious and has a view of the mountains up ahead. The quiet and elegant hotel has all facilities for the traveler, including a spa, fitness centre, and swimming pool. You will never regret your choice by staying here.
We had booked a triple occupancy for family at the hotel, however husband could not join last minute due to an emergency. When my daughter & I reached the hotel & requested for a compensation of any sort, they reluctantly gave us a club room in the club floor & particularly said " We will give you a club room but you cannot use any of the facilities including happy hours". Was not sure why they made this offer , as we had made it clear that we would hardly be in the room & what would be a real compensation would be a complimentary meal or cocktails. Even after repeated requests, the "manager" in charge very curtly said "not possible" Just wondering how indifferent a 5 star hotel like this can be so indifferent & insensitive to tourists & guests especially women travelling alone & for the first time The entire experience was very average & will definitely look at more guest & women friendly hotels next time
Stayed here for 2 nights with a family and just loved the entire stay. Rooms were of good size and best was the breakfast spread. Everything they had and it was a splendid one. Highly recommend this place to stay. Casino was an added advantage
We stayed for three nights at the Soaltee in Kathmandu and were impressed with the entire stay. The property is located within a large area somewhat blocked off from the bustle of the city, but just a few steps from the fun of the city streets and shops. The hotel is modern, clean, and attractive with spacious lobby and meeting areas. Rooms are adequately spacious; staff are probably some of the friendliest, most accommodating I've ever experienced. The impressive breakfast buffet is extensive, and the food delicious; I can't imagine anything you'd want that isn't either on the buffet or readily made to your specifications. Obviously, I loved this hotel and recommend it highly.
I've been staying at the Soaltee for the last 2 years on frequent business trips and the service, hospitality and staff have been consistently great all this time. The rooms are clean and tidy. Breakfast is always a joy every morning with friendly staff & plenty of choice. Note: there is currently some construction at the basement of the Himalayan wing so be aware there is lots of construction noise during daylight hours, 7 days a week at the moment. Not sure how long this will go on for.
We have stayed 5 nights in Crowne Plaza Kathmandu-Soaltee Hotel. The premises are located in a clean and vast area where greenery and trees are the most common features. Although the place is a bit far from downtown, it takes actually 20-25 minutes walking to get Durbar Square. In spite of the low rates in some reviews based on apparently outdated facilities, a big positive surprise was to confirm that the Hotel is very well maintained, not missing any kind of modernity and comfort. We could indulge both the spa and hair-dresser, whose treatments and cares were really superb. We also enjoyed the good quality of the food at anytime. Since the early moments of check in up to the farewell, all the personnel were incredibly servicial with us. We felt at the Hotel like in our own home. We would like to highlight the good work carried out by employees as Mrs Sharuib at the front desk or Mr Himal and Mr. Dipak at the club lounge. Sorry for those we have for sure missed. Anyway the entire Hotel staff was very friendly and professional. Congratulations for your good job!. We will come back.
Very warm team, it is like home away from home. It is very good experience to stay (always) in Solatee, just one mail and work done. good food, neat and clean room. Best place to stay in Kathmandu and good ambiance.
I have been staying in Soaltee Crowne Plaza Hotel in Kathmandu for a week. This hotel is nice and clean. Staff are very friendly and polite. I enjoy staying here very much. Their restaurants serve excellent food. I like their Italian restaurant, lamb chop is very delicious. Their spa and swimming pool is very nice and I recommend you to try Hamalaya massage that combines Thai massage and oil massage. A special credit to their duty manager Ms. Sampada Singh who offers much assistance and advice. I would recommend this hotel to you if you travel to Kathmandu, Nepal. You won’t be disappointed.
I can mention and estimate only services and opportunittees used like room service, currency exchange at the hotel, restourants usage and all listed went well; the rest questions like hair and beaty, locker rooms at fitness or steam room couldn't be estimated as were not used. In general I'd like to mention big hospitality, polite and attentive attitude of the whole hotel staff/guards.
I visited Crown Plaza for official work and i had a truly wonderful stay. Rooms are spacious and well maintenance staff is courteous and ready to help on each and everything. Special mention of Sampada Singh for making my trip really wonderful Food was absolutely sumptuous. I think icing on the cake was newly built gym which is not only spacious but is also equipped with new machine. In nutshell really wonderful stay
