Resort does not accurately describe knotts Crossing park. We booked and paid for 3 nights but left after 2. The room was in disrepair, shower head flopping around with very little water pressure, it was of no use anyway. The kitchen tap just swiveled around and could select hot or cold and struggled to close or open. The TV remote didn’t work and small air con struggled in the heat. The overall condition of the room was dated and worn out! The mattresses have seen better days so a refurbishment is well over due. Certainly not worth the money we paid. Rate was supposed to include Wifi but not offered or provided. Hence we cut our loses and left a day early. On the positive side, staff were friendly.
Lived in Katherine a long time ago and never stayed here, so when we drove to Darwin recently we thought we'd give it ago. Wow! What a range of accommodation. From budget to family and Deluxe rooms at reasonable prices. Rooms are very quiet. Beds are comfortable. Staff are very friendly and helpful. There's something for everyone.
We had a spacious room that was clean, comfortable and most importantly, cool. Being on the outskirts of town and on the road to the gorge was nice. The lady who served us at dinner was very pleasant and chatty. The only downside was the wifi network didn't extend much past reception.
We stayed in a cabin so that we could cook our own food. There are very few accommodation options in Katherine with cooking facilities. The cabin was way overdue for refurbishment. The linoleum was broken, curtains had holes in etc, but the grounds were nice with tall palms and mature trees. The toilet and shower were a separate building from the cabin, which wasn't a problem although it meant getting wet when it rained. The woman at reception was super friendly but the guy was the opposite (a disappointing surprise). I would recommend Knotts Crossing Resort if you don't want to go out for dinner but not if you want luxury. It really needs modernising and redecorating.
We were happy with this choice. Easy to find, easy access, easy check in /check out. Was just a potable cabin done up very nicely. We were close to the entrance and pool so a little noisy but we were there much to worry about it.
This is not the fanciest resort but it does offer a comfortable stay out of this hot and humid NT weather. They have a pool but I have no time to use it. The rooms are widely spread and you can even camp there as well. Wifi reception wasn't very good but if you are using Telstra, the reception is great. Beds are comfy, air con is strong enough. Food is great too!
The staff were amazing and friendly and remembered us when we saw them on the street. Rooms were very comfortable and well priced, infact same price at a dodgy motel we had stayed the night before. Well recommended!
Set on the edge of Katherine, about 4km from the downtown area, restaurants and shops. We had a trailer cottage, fully furnished with our own bath outside. It was clean and absolutely fine. There was enough shade from the trees, but it was still too hot to sit outside. They have a kiosk where you can buy drinks, sandwiches and snacks, and a nice pool area. The bar and restaurant I found disappointing (see review of the Savannah), but then there isn‘t anything in walking distance. All other places to eat and drink are in town, about 4km from the resort. All in all we found the stay quite romantic and would book again
Stayed here in June for an overnight work trip with two others. Room facing the pool was fine. Dinner in restaurant was good. Surprisingly huge serves - my pork belly was like a family roast. I was expecting a small slice or square of pork belly as get in other places. It was very tender very tasty and way too much.
Rooms clean but strong odour in bathroom ...beds were very comfy as were the pillows... generous with extra towels .. not enough sugar for tea and coffee .. good sized room for families ..toilet needed repair and was fixed promptly when requested .. the manager was very supportive as there was an issue during the night with some locals .. overall our stay was average but the staff were very helpful and friendly
