Before our journey to the Georgian border we took us a room here in the Konak Hotel 2 in Kars for one night to refuel our body battery to get this trip done. We had a pleasant and warm welcome with a gratis coffee by the kind staff and our little chamber was also super sufficient for this kind of stay: it had a comfortable bed and a clean bathroom. The window was out to the street and even though it was busy during night time and in the early morning, this is something you have to reckon in Turkey and get familiar with. All in all you could say "One can do this once in a while" as we say it in Germany.

Very central, close to everything, maximum 5-10 minutes by walk. There is no elevator in the building, the rooms are small, but it was good value for the price.

The hotel has central location. The heating was so high. Unfortunately in our first room 202 were bedbugs. In the middle of the night when told to the guy in the reception what happened we got a new clean room.

The staff were friendly and the price was right. The accomodations were clean but toilet was not anchored to the ground and one bed was broken in our room. İt's good for a cheap, safe and clean budget hotel but don't expect anything more.

The room was small but had everything I needed. The linens were clean, as was everything else. I’m quite sporty, so I had no problem climbing up to the fourth floor, but anyone with mobility issues should keep this in mind. The staff were truly friendly, welcoming, and always helpful! I even got sick during my stay, and they assisted me with such kindness. Many thanks from the heart!

Right next door to the mosque, so an early morning wake up. Bathroom very small, knees practically touching the door as you sit down. Mold, dirt grime on the toilet base, discoloured grouting. Clean comfortable bed and bedding Convenient walk to and from the train station

Perfectly reasonable for the money

The hotel is well-situated, about a 15 min walk from the station. Our room was spacious and well sound proofed, so we slept well. The room is what you'd probably expect for such a cheap price, with the decor not in the best condition. The shower was good but the toilet is situated such that anyone with long legs can't shut the door in the seated position! The staff were attentive and informative, which was appreciated in our efforts to get to Ani.

Small staircase, no lift. Thin walls, no noise isolation. Smoke from other rooms fills the corridors and your non-smoking room too. The bathroom has mold all over the place, small shower with no soap/shower gel let alone shampoo. Small toilet with ill-fitting seat. Avoid if possible, not worth it even at this price.
