My family and I had a wonderful stay at the ibis styles Karratha and the food was lovely in the restaurant but each time we walked back to the room at night it stunk of weed/pot next door! One night we even saw the red headed manager with glasses sitting smoking a joint with the other guests! Which was a bit shocking to see especially with our young kids around, other then that lovely place and great location.
Staff were very attentive. The room was clean and everything worked. I was upgraded to a suite which was well placed and quite throughout the evening and night - no noise. Restaurant - food was very good, Bar wasn't busy but stayed open a little later than usual which was good for me. Reception was well managed with no waiting. No issues at whatsoever,, which resulted in an enjoyable stay for me.
We haven't visited The Ibis for a long time and we were impressed with the quality of customer service that we had. The food was great, prompt and we were not charged for the kids meals that we ordered. Great shade over and around the pool. This is a big improvement from the last time we were there. We will definitely be back again on a Sunday with kids meals being free and the pool to use in the hot weather. Highly recommend The Ibis to other families.
We have been a week staying next door for work. We have been to the restaurant twice and the food has been fresh and delicious. The best thing is the service by Gurwinder who is very efficient and friendly. Great place to eat for unfussy well cooked tasty food.
This was our sixteenth stop of our trip around Australia. We stayed here two nights. Another of Accor properties which needs a lot of work. The Manager, Dylan and his team go out of their way to satisfy all customer complaints, Thanks to all, we had a fabulous two days. Comfortable beds, nice breakfast and a great restaurant. To Accor, show some respect to your members and other visitors and refurbish your run down Properties.

Where do Ibises like to hang out??? "Dumps" that's right that we my Nic name for this place - the dump bird hotel. So this place was the Isis styles after all. It was very expensive for this very run down room. I almost froze to death the first night as there are no blankets in the room Just thin little blue thing on the end of the bed. I could not sleep without putting the air conditioning on as it was to stuffy in the room without it and it help drown out the noise from the neighbouring rooms. The guys upstairs thought it was fun to launch their beer bottle tops down the stairs and I am sure I heard one of the fall down the stairs at 3 am one morning. Then another morning at about 2 am there was a huge domestic in the room next to me. I stayed in this room for 5 days so it got very depressing after a while. This place really needs a renovation. I was told by locals that There are better places for less in town. The Pro's the rooms are a decent size, and the free continental breakfast is good (free wifi - but too slow to use) it is close to the shopping centre and restaurants and bottle shops.
The room was drab and shabby. There are holes in the ceiling and wall where repairs have not been done. The black out curtains did not work as many of the runners were missing. The smoke detector behind the main lamp reflects in the night and it's like sleeping with the light on !! What a crazy idea !! The ironing board had no cover on . Room service tray came with aluminium foil over the plates!! (No plate covers ?)We placed the tray out at 8pm approx. and it was still there the morning after. Broken glass on the carpark and unswept passageways . Very shabby property..
We stayed in room 42, and there were signs everywhere stating that there was free Wifi. As we were on a work trip this is the most important aspect for us, however the Wifi was so slow that we struggled to download a 3 page PDF! When we asked reception for help, they informed us that the daily quota for the ENTIRE HOTEL had been reached, it was 10am! We were there for 3 nights and every morning at 8am, we had someone knocking on the door trying to come in and clean the room. I love a clean room, but not when I'm trying to get ready to get out the door! The shower was so dirty that I can't even describe it. I travel regularly through the Pilbara and expect some red staining on tiles, but there was so much soap scum and mould that I bought some thongs to wear in the shower. Otherwise, an ok hotel. Not really worth the price but in a convenient location. Also there is no microwave in the rooms or toaster.
