On our arrival at Ibis Styles Karratha we were greeted by a friendly (as usual ) reception staff member. Our rooms were not quite ready so we went to the shopping mall conveniently. located right across the street. On our arrival back at the Ibis Styles we were handed the keys to our rooms (26 & 27) which were clean, roomy and delightfully comfortable. The breakfast staff were also friendly and helpful and we appreciated the quiet atmosphere in such pleasant surroundings. As usual, we will stay again on our next visit to karratha :)
I have been to this hotel a couple of times before and unfortunately the standards ain't as great as they use to be. The reception area has a very funky overbearing damp smell, the rooms are in desperate need of a major overhaul, the food isn't bad but isn't ultra great either, they must of been saving on power in the main bar because none of the airconditioner's were on and it was so hot, what made it worst was having to wait for one of the male bar staff to stop showing off and actually serve someone. However, one thing that I can't fault is the beds are really comfortable, the reception plus the dining room staff are very friendly and the hotel is in the best location which is close to shops, restaurants and bars.
Arrived at 4pm after a 6 hour drive to enjoy a few days RnR in Karratha. Because I am an Accor member, I thought it would be fitting we stay at an establishment owned by the group. How I was so wrong. Not only could they not find my booking they proceeded to assume I had rung the wrong number. It was only after ringing the number logged in my phone that rang through to the front desk did they believe me. After 10 minutes of searching they finally found my booking- for 3 weekends later! Could not offer me another room- said they were dirty. Totally disappointed and angry with the situation the hotel put my family in. What makes it worse is that 3 weeks prior, we had a magnificent experience staying at another hotel in the Accor group. We ended up staying at the Big 4 Caravan park where the staff were more than accommodating and the bungalow they put us up in had 2 rooms, a kitchen and washing machine - all for the same price. Don't stay at the Ibis styles Karratha!
A male member of staff entered my room whilst I was sleeping. He was dropping off a note to let me know breakfast was at 7. Frightening experience and delt with poorly bythe manager. Don't stay here if you are travelling alone.
We booked a twin room and had a double/queen bed and a single in our room. Nice clean room. Helpful staff. Had dinner and breakfast which were both good. Great to get free wifi. Ordered a packed lunch to take with us for the next day.
I stayed here for four nights on a business trip. I have stayed here many times before and it has always been a great place to stay. The staff are wonderful, always willing to help you out and take time out of their day to talk to you. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The Wi fi was good. The continental breakfast that is included in the price is excellent and the atmosphere in the room at this time of day was very relaxing. I ordered take away lunch each day I was there and they were delicious and I ate dinner in the restaurant on two occasions and the meals were very good. All in all a really enjoyable stay.
We stayed here one night. The cost certainly didn't meet the facilities. The footpaths and room surrounds were unkept, the unsecured carpark by the bottle store had warning signs about theft, and we had service staff entering our room 3 times between 7am and 8.30am! Not recommended as a place to stay. Try the international hotel if best western
Stayed here recently for 3 nights, all the staff I spoke to were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable and I slept well. The meals I had were OK nothing great but equally nothing bad. The first night I had room service I had to phone back after an hour waiting, I think may have forgot my order. Nice pool to come back to at the end of the day and cool off in. The only thing negative I found was a lack of ground maintenance with gardens and pool area looking like they need a bit of work, other than that it was pretty good overall and I would stay again if I was in the area.
My husband and children ( one 3,5 and one 9 months) had the pleasure of staying at the Karratha Ibis on the 6th and 7th of April. The Manager couldn't be more welcoming , friendly and helpful, enabling us to have a relaxing stay and recharge the batteries before the rest of our long trip to Coral Bay. The room layout was ideal for our needs with a young family. The newly refurbished restaurant was very child friendly with a fantastic play area wonderfully suited for infants and toddlers. My husband and I were able to relax and enjoy two tasty meals with our children safely playing within eyesight close by. The dinner menu was very tasty! We would like to come back and try the Thai Buffet that looked awesome! The Fully Cooked Breakfast (made to order) was first class - compliments to the Head Chef and kitchen brigade. The Housekeeping , Food and Beverage and Reception departments all had staff members who showed us excellent service. It was obvious that the staff enjoyed their jobs and respected their Manager, thanks again to everyone for making our first stay in hotel accommodation as a family of four so enjoyable and easy!
I stayed at the Hotel IBIS Karratha for 2 nights in April 2017; where the final day was Good Friday. I was made to feel so special with the Manager personally driving me to the airport - "In case the taxis service was delayed on a public holiday" as well as I was made a Columbian Coffee to have on the way! Fantastic Service and Hotel...very lovely and friendly staff. Felt very welcome and looked after:)
